Izzat in 1 Amanah 2008

Izzat's placement test was out yesterday.... Alhamdulillah, Izzat was placed in 1 Amanah (2nd class). I scanned his classmates names and glad to see some familiar names like - Tisha and Izuddin (Izzat's friends at TEB). This is just the beginning.... he has a long way to go. The placement is only based on the placement test and doesn't mean those in the 3rd class and below are not clever. I guess I have to struggle a bit in 2008 to monitor both kids in school and kumon. This is quite challenging.... esp for a working mom like me.... but I will try my best... I intend to! InsyaAllah.

Mommy's little boy going to school at the age of 6

Sent Izzat to school yesterday... his first day in BIG school.. !! He looked soooo adorable in his school uniform... we had to mend his pants to suit him since he is too 'cute' :)
He was assigned to the 3rd class for the placement test. Some familiar faces were in the same class such as Miza Batrisha (Izzat's old sweet heart (??)) and Izzuddin. When I asked how he did in the test... he said he got 1 wrong.... he spelled 'teko' with a "c" - teco!... hahaha!
Anyway, turned out his school is the morning session - meaning he will have to survive alone since kak long is attending the evening session. That make me worried a bit... since I have not yet teach him how to spend his money. Hmm... my little boy going to school at 6 years old.... *sigh!*.

Bibik back to Indon

There is a major production problem today (Log point problem - caused by operations - NOT by the programmers!!). Unfortunately it happened TODAY - when Tda, June and Da are on leaves - of all days!! :( And guess who's the lucky one being chosen to do the recovery? Yeap... ME!!! :(

Bibik went back to Indon early this morning. We called taxi to send her to airport since both hubby and I can't get away from the office after our long leaves to Egypt the other weeks. My mom insisted that she can take care of the kids at our home instead of sending them away to MIL's or anywhere else. I 'brain washed' the kids so that they will behave well as Wan is not strong enough to layan their karenah! The deal is... if they do not behave or asyik bergaduh je... one of them will be send to Nenek's house. Suprisingly, they do not want to be separated.. especially Izzaty. We'll see how it goes...

A memorable Egypt trip

We left for Egypt on 25th Nov 2007 (Transit at Bahrain one night). There are soooo many interesting places to visit in Egypt!! I especially love the pyramids and the Abu Simbel Temple. From Cairo, we took a train to Luxor. And from Luxor, we cruised the Nile River to Aswan.... quite an interesting experience :) The cruise crews made a surprise birthday party for hubby... which made the trip even more memorable! Our local tour guide, Mohammed is quite a nice man (and handsome too *wink!* ). Mohammed made the Egyptian history even more interesting :) Did not get the chance do much shopping during this tour since the package itinerary was quite packed but still I got the chance to meet my ex-classmate at TKC, Nolong on my first night in Cairo.:) Nolong is currently staying in Cairo with her Swedish husband and 3 children. She came to my hotel with her lovely youngest daughter, Hanna (such a cute little girl!). I emailed Nolong to tell her that I was coming to Cairo, so she ordered some things from Malaysia which she could not find in Egypt - things like herbs - serai, daun kari, daun limau purut, ect, a bottle of tauchu, serbuk kari, serbuk kurma, ect, ect.... hahahaa! Banyak jugak lah :D It was fun meeting her again... and cute Little Hanna, of course :)

In short... I had such an amazing time in Egypt!!! :)

The itinerary...
