TKC OGA Raya Do 2011

This year, TKC/MGC Raya do was held at The Duchess Place, Jalan Ampang...

I volunteered to help the committee on preparation for this event. Left the house around 12 noon... and I was already at Jalan Duta when Fa called requesting me to pickup some kuih raya from Kak Yaz's mom place in Damansara Utama.... hoho... pusing balik ke Damansara Utama :D

Somehow I managed to be at the Duchess Place by 1.30pm.... missed the entrance... terpaksa pulak buat one U-turn before reaching this place.. huhu!

Duchess Palace was beautifully decorated for this event.... I like! :)

All tables were beautifully decorated... so cantek!! :)

I was responsible to take care of the food. The food was delicious!! :) Laksa johor, puree, lemang, nasi impit, asampedas and satay. Dessert was a variety - ada bread puding (my fav!!), fruit custard, kuih-muih raya, ect. On top of that there was additional chocolatecake (sponsored by Yayang tkc87) and cupcakes (sponsored by Kak Saf tkc85) as well as chocolate almond cookies (this is the kuih that I had to pick up from Damansara Utama sponsored by Kak Yaz tkc84).

From Old Girls to Old Folks...

Kak Ah, Kak Sheri and Fa handling over Old Girls' contribution to En Abdullah Noel who who wereresponsible to care for the old folks residents. Among the things contributed were adult diapers, wheel chairs, walking aides, ripple mattresses, special formula milk, goat milk, clothes, cookies, duit raya (personalcontributions) and goodie bags.

An MP3 (actually the one in my goodie bag is a purple MP3.... but since I already got purple colour MP3s from last year raya-do (both Izzaty and I got purple MP3 during last raya do)... so, tukar suka sama suka ngan Nani coz I nak blue colour one!), surah yassin and a few Islamic books, one kain batik and one tudung (not in this pic sebab I have passed the tudung to my bibik).

Bila IT Core Bankers beraya...

IT Core Banking section held a Jamuan Hari Raya for its staff last Tuesday, 20/9/11 (yeap... it was on my 14th anniversary!) This majlis is actually an initiative from the Muslim staff - we made our own collection for this majlis and invited all the non-muslim staff and all section heads in IT department for this small celebration :) Since there were lots of us... and our office is a bit crowded to accommodate all of us plus our guests... the majlis was held at 11th floor, event hall, Menara Maybank.

Food was excellent! Kami order briyani ayam as main dish - cannot la order kambing.. huhu! We have to respect our Indian colleagues who cannot eat meat. There were also potlucks sponsored by each units such as nasi impit, kuah kacang, kuah lodeh, satay, roti jala, kuih muih and lots more! Lots of food, lots of fun and lots of laughter!! :)

Petang tu semua Core Bankers kekenyangan + kengantukan akibat tendangan nasi briyani :D I had a GATM meeting at 3pm and thanks god.. they provided coffee during the meeting.... dapat la kurangkan ngantuk sket... huhu! :)

Our 14th Anniversary ♥

It has been 14 years since we are married ♥

Nothing special is planned as I am not able to take leave today :P (I just took 3 days-leave last week to monitor Izzaty preparing for the UPSR). No anniversary presents nor romantic-get-away-holiday this year... huhu! But never mind, every day that we are together is already a celebration... alhamdulillah :) I thank Allah for all the beautiful years given for us to be together... :)
