Cooling ourselves @ Taman Eko Rimba Kanching

This PKP time, when I can work from home, I would usually try to do some walking around our Teluki Residence area for about at least 5km. I usually walked alone unless my kids, Izzaty or Izzat were rajin enough to wake up early and accompany me. Mr Hubby you asked? Hmm... tak nak dia join makcik ni walk2... hahaha! 

But yesterday, since it was Sunday (and the whether has been extremely hot lately) , I managed to pujuk Mr Hubby to go to Taman Eko Rimba Kanching ... for a walk/hike and later mandi manda... 

Taman Eko Rimba Kanching is located somewhere at the Templer Park, Rawang which is not very far from our place. This place is famous for its 7 levels of waterfalls area. We had been here before with the #HussinClan on X'mas day in 2019. The whole family just mandi manda at the Lata Terentang area which was the 2nd level of this place. This time around, we decided to hike further up to explore more of this place.

Yours truly semput naik tangga yang sangat steep especially from level 3 to level 4. It was a long flight of stairs and quite steep. That explained why most visitors would just stop at level 3. I should have posed kat tangga steep tu kan... semput punya pasal, lupa segala!

We decided to stop at level 5 - Lata Tembusu as Ms Izzaty said 'tak kuasa lah nak panjat sampai atas'... haha!

So serene... 

I was drinking this... when suddenly, a few 'uninvited' guests joined us.. 

Eee... punya la banyak monyet kat sini... 

Okay, baru je nak bukak bekalan nasi lemak sebenarnya...

but with these monkeys around, tak jadi lah.... stress nanti, harus tak jadi nak makan!

So Ms Izzaty said 'jom lah turun balik... cari tempat yg tak de monyet.' 

I said 'they are everywhere you know... can't escape from them here'.

But from previous experience, downstairs tak lah byk sangat monkeys... so yeah, jom turun...

and we ended up at Level 3 - kebetulan ada one pondok available.. so we ate nasi lemak there, alhamdulillah, no monkeys around to disturb us :D

Level 3 - Lata Kapur.

We did not stop mandi manda here... so many anak muda belia yang bising di sini... 

So down we went to Level 2 - same sport where we picnic with #HussinClan last time. Penuh juga manusia di sini... tapi byk family lah... so tak lah bising macam kat level 3 tadi.. 

But paling best, we got to mandi this waterfall area all by ourselves for quite a while before orang lain join (by that time, kami pun nak balik dah... alhamduilillah...)

Alhamduilllah... sejuk nyaman di sini. We had fun! 

Boleh repeat lagi trip ni. Next round, we should hike up to 7th level may be? haha... kemain cita2 kan :D

 

Shop till drop in KB :D

When Zai threw the idea of 'rombongan cik kiah to Kota Bharu', I was one of the earliest person to agree and booked a seat for this trip. For the first time in my life, I got the opportunity to join my childhood besties for a cik kiah trip and I had been excitedly counting days for it!!

And when the day came.... Wahh, super excited sangat! Woke up at 3am and left Bkt Beruntung about 4am to KLIA. Sempat buat solat mussafir, alhamdulillah... Praying this trip dipermudahkan san diredhaiNya. What I did not expect was, when I reached exit KLIA, there was a massive traffic jam and it was like stand still and not moving! Panic kejap... Aiyoooo, I cannot miss my plane!! This is my first trip with my childhood besties okay!!! I cannot miss it! Zai called advising me to proceed to Nilai exit instead.... Mak pun apa lagi... Rushing like mad to Nilai exit and with Mr Waze help, sempat lah sampai KLIA around 6am. Sempat solat Subuh... Phew!! Alhamdulillah, kira dipermudahkan la tu kan...

Up in the sky finally... Alhamdulillah! Beautiful view.. Subhanallah...

Landed in KB around 9am. Got our rented car at the airport... And yeay!!! Cik Kiah were all ready to explore KB!! ;))

Our first destination, sudah tentu cari makan for breakfast! And what else kalau bukan Roti Titab!! Oh my.... Dari dlm flight dah terbayang2 this roti titab okay! First thing to find in KB, definitely!!

Again, thanks to Mr Waze, we made it to Kopitiam Kita ;)

The girls love this roti as well. Siah who said 'Cam polik yo tolo separuh masak mo kaya.. Tak lalu sey doh'... ended up ordering 2 roti titabs hokey! :D

Lapaq punya pasai... Yours truly pekena gak nasi goreng ayam kak wok -_-

Kenyang sudah, we continued our journey... our next destination was to Rantau Panjang. About an hour drive from KB, Rantau Panjang is located near the Thailand border. It is so famous for shopping area as it is a duty free zone. Anak bujang ku awal2 dah message kirim fake jerseys if I go to Rantau Panjang -_- 

I came here with vision just to buy jerseys for Izzat. Maka bermula lah misi mencari jersey...

First shop we went, the quality of the jerseys ala2 Petaling Street jer... Hmm...

The rest of the Cik Kiahs menyopping batiks...

Okay... What did I say?? Nak beli jersey Izzat ajer??? Pffttt!!! THESE are the damages I did st Padang Besar.. -_-

2 Jerseys for anakanda Izzat. Cheap2 only... but the quality is much better than Petaling Street ones.

And some seluar also for Izzat. Also bought steam pot for Pean's daughter's wedding gift (wedding in 2 weeks time), those cute yellow thingy that is used to cook half-boiled eggs, flusk food container, and chocolates!! Hmmm... dalam tak nak beli apa2 tu -.-

OMG!! Baru one shopping place and our car was already super full!!! :D

Yours truly sat at the back of our rented Exora as I was the 'shortest' lol!

Okay... after Rantau Panjang, everybody was sweaty and tired... so let's check in to our homestay in Kota Bharu ;)

After cleaning up and perform our solat, without wasting more time, off we go to our next destination... Dean Batik Boutique :)

The boutique is located at Bandar Baru Tunjong. It belongs tu Zai's father-in-law's friend, Tn Haji Nordin (Abe Din) and her wife, Hajjah Zaiton (Kak Za).

Not only they sell batik, songket, kain pelekat, telekung and all.... serunding, keropok and other food oso got! Sumo ado!! hahaha! Terbaik lah!

Zai and Kak Za.... hmmm... ni pemenang borong batik... lol!

I bought 2 baju jubah batik for both moms and 2 kain pelekat for Mr Hubby and FIL. That's all.. Serious... no kidding. No batik for myself... serious menahan nafsu as I already bought a few batiks during my recent trip to KB late last year.

The tawkeh boutique also belanja us dinner that night (wahhh... terbaik punya service!!! Terharu mak dapat makan free... huhu!)

Nasi Kerabu you oulss... the very the yummeh!!! ;') Alhamdulillah rezeki kami malam tu...

After Dean Batik... kami ke Wakaf Che Yeh, which is located not far from the Abe Din's place.

Siah... dah lotih... kateh!

Been a long day... leaving home early in the morning. By 10pm, of course lah keletihan kan.. 

Didn't stay long at Wakaf Che Yeh as most of us were done shopping batiks, fake jerseys and all at Rantau Panjang and at Abe Din's boutique. Penat pun ye jugak tu... 

So we just stopped for supper at a small restaurant... and later back to our homestay to have a good night sleep... by then, it was near midnight... haha! Sakan berjalan!

That night, semua tidur lena okay! Lol!

Next morning, sempat berzumba bagai in the house... haha! Then off to Pasar Siti Khadijah :)

Next, ke bangunan sebelah... Bazaar Buluh Kubu...

My objective to come here was to shop for batik blouses :) This one mmg in my list-to-buy in KB!

And this one is for Ipah.

It's more comfortable to shop here as most of the shop has seats... so those yang tak nyopping tu boleh la duduk... rehatkan kaki... haha!

Wanted to have lunch here. The famous Restoran Cikgu Ulam... but Mimi 'tak berkenan' lauk nya... so move to another restaurant.

After lunch, went back to Pasar Khadijah as some of the girls wanted to buy fruits. We did not buy serunding here... wajib beli serunding okay, now that Ramadhan is just around the corner :) Instead, we ordered serunding with Abe Din and Kak Za.

Back to Abe Din and Kak Za's place. Lagi seround shopping.... hahahahhaa!

Cantik tak kak Tun? Lol! Atun last-minute-shop :D Tergoda juga dia akhirnya.. kekeke!

I bought 2kgs of serunding from Abe Din and Kak Za... 

Some for the kids to bring back for buka puasa this Ramadhan... and some reserve for our trip to Japan after raya... weeeee!!!! *yes, we are going to Japan after raya*

Last stop before back to our homestay and pack our things....Restoran Nadieya! 

Ingat nak pekena the famous ice-cream dalam buah kelapa tu! Tapi no stock la pulok...huhu... 

So we ordered these instead...

Pulut with santan and mangga.... wahhh, sangat berlemak kerimmm... yummmehhh!!!

Back in our homestay... after mandi manda terus packing and get ready to the airport.

Agenda seterusnya...  arranging things in the car to make sure everything and everybody can fit it :D

Sumbattttt.... jangan tak sumbattt....

All bags are in... now the rest... 

Dah tutup pintu bonet.... sumbat lagi barang kat belakang... and tak cukup lagi... atas peha masing2 pun ada barang... Lol!! :D

All readeh.... jom balik KL!!! :))

Alhamdulillah, safely arrived at KLIA by 9pm.

We sure had a BLAST!!!! Thank you girls for the company! Berzumba, doing plank, gelak2 and shopping sakan.... I will never forget okay!! Love you girls A LOT!!
