Brunch gathering at Jln Damai Bungalow...

Sunday was a blast!! There was a gathering for the tkcian8387 batch at a rented bungalow in Jalan Damai, Kuala Lumpur. I nearly got lost finding this place... but alhamdulillah.. with help from my phone's GPS... I found it without needing to call the organizers! Damn proud of it.. hehe :)

The gathering was actually originated for Nolong... since she is in KL now.. (Nolong is residing in Cairo, Egypt with her family). It was a potluck party... and since Has requested me to bring 'rendang hijau'.... bibik le yg kena dera masak rendang hijau pagi2 tu.. keh keh.. lazy me!! :P Rinnie and Nani brought nasi lemak (good! Can eat with my rendang! yummy!!), Qiss brought pasta (delicious!), Lin Khalid brought a homemade fruitcake and baked macaroni, Fa brought sandwiches, Wewe brought fries and nuggets for the kids, NoLong brought some traditional kuih (ni sure kes rindu nak makan kuih2 Malaysia nih!), Has brought cute cakes and brownies, Shah brought 2 boxes of Domino's pizzas... and the list go on... lots and lots of food lah! I tell you... kopak dietku!!! :P

The bungalow is quite nice... it's actually a bungalow for children activities... so there is a big trampoline infront of the house, a special room full of children's toys and lots of interesting stuff for the kids!! The kids sure had fun!! :) Hence, make it easier for the mommies to borak2 panjang and bergossip :)

Okay.. this is another story. Yesterday, on my way back from home... my tyre suddenly pecah on the highway! Kaboom... just like that!! Panic siut... I have watched it happened to someone else's car right infront of me... and the driver nearly lost control of his car... giler suspen tenguk! But this time.. it happened to me!! Luckily I did not lose control of the car... I immediately parked at the emergency lane.. and called hubby! But it took sometime jugak lah for him to left the office - he got BIG problem at his factory on that day (of all day??) :P Hmph... Nak tukar tayar sendiri... makcik tak reti!! Tengah dok menung dlm kereta tu... I saw an orange truck stopped infront of my car... nampak macam lori 'PROPEL' - the company who maintained the highway... 3 jejaka hensem keluar dari truck tu. Debar jugak.... nak keluar ke tak nih.... coz I read so many scary stories pasal cone ppl menyamar jadi plus highway patrol and so on...

Nekad je... get out of the car and talked to the guys.. I read the nametag on their uniform.. ada tulis "Petugas Lebuhraya"... Hah!! Betul lah ni kot!! Good guys!!! Tawakal je... minta tolong adik2 tu tolong tukarkan tayar. I called hubby and told him I have 3 macho guys to help me out! So no need la for you to come, dear :) Bila dia minta my tools nak bukak tayar tu... I nak cari dalam kereta tu pun tak tahu mana diam nye tools tu... kelakar betul! Sib baik they found it... "Wah kak.. dalam plastik lagi!! Tak pernah guna ke?? Saya rasmikan ya?" hahahha... apa2 je lah dik! Go ahead and do whats-so-ever yg necessary... asal akak boleh balik!!! :D

Mid term result 2009

Okay... the result is finally out! Jeng.. jeng.. jeng!!! :)

Izzaty... as she expected got 4th place behind Shafiqah, Lavenya and Natasha. For the very first time she does not fall under the top 3 categories... But considering the exam for both sekolah kebangsaan and SRA were clashed... and Shafiqah does not go to any SRA.. and Lavenya pun (of course lah! :P)... whilst Natasha is in class B in SRA.... I did she did pretty good :) Furthermore.. she managed to get 2nd place in SRA... which I think is very, very good :) I love you girl.... mama and ayah are still proud of you!! :) We'll try harder next time, yah? *muah!*

Izzat... got 14th place (dropped 1 place - he got number 13th in the previous test). That's pretty good, boy!! We just have to improve your english writing skill... and be extra careful next time when you answer all the questions, okay?! :) And again.. considering.. he was the youngest and coming from class 'B'... I still consider his result is okay :) In SRA exam, he managed to pushed up a bit from number 20 to number 8!! Wah.. dah masuk category top 10 dah!! I told him the other day that he must try to get at least top 10 in SRA cause he is in class "B"... So, alhamdulillah... he did achieve that :) Love you boy!! And of course mama and ayah are proud of you too... *muah!* *muah!*

Tomorrow is report card day for SRA.. and Saturday for sek kebangsaan. Since mama kerja and takde cuti... ayah will have to go tomorrow. And insyaAllah... mama and ayah will go on Saturday. Mama is attending a reunion (again?!) on Sunday..

Aduhai... busy weekends ahead! *sigh!*

Bad grades, and son runs away

Yesterday, after a very, very long meeting at the office... I was surprised to read an email from the IS Maybank circulation mentioning that one of the staff's kids( a 10 year-old boy and an 8 year-old girl) were found missing from their home on Monday evening. Laa... camana boleh hilang ni?? I cannot imagine the anguish that the mother suffered... sure panic giler!! Imagine lah... 2 anak terus hilang!!

Today... alhamdulillah... early in the morning.. dapat another email informing everyone that the kids had been found... safe and sound! Phew!!! Syukur... alhamdulillah...

And from what I read in the Malay Mail... apparently, the boy could have been feeling down because of his latest school grades. He was afraid to show his mom his school grades, and decided to run away from the house before his mom came home from the office. And his little sister had no choice but to follow her brother... as she was scared to be left alone at home. The parents are divorced... and the kids left their mom's house.. with intention to go to their dad's house....

Aduhai... kesian nyee.... dunno what to say... kesian kat both kids (just 2 of them out there?? beraninye... nasib baik tak de orang jahat kidnap!!) and the mom... (sure bagai nak giler risau.. it was too traumatic for any mom to handle!!)

So kids out there.... jangan la main packing and lari je dari rumah ye... kesian la kat mak and bapak hang....

And kepada ibu2 dan bapak2... jangan la garang2 sangat ya... sampai takut anak2.. (this is a reminder to all mom out there... esp yours truly!! :P)

Lice... oh lice...!!!

I have no idea where she got it!! But the Izzaty got lice on her hair!!!! Eeeeuuuuuu!!!!!!

I first realized Izzaty has been scratching her head during the school holiday... but when I checked her hair... I could not found any... so ingat okay lah. (may be masa tu tak banyak lagi) But this morning... when I saw her scratching again... I checked again... and yeap.... found some of the eggs!! Eeuuu!! Tak terkatalah gross nya!!! :P

Where did she get those lice??? She wears tudung to school.... so how ah this lice can fly to her hair??? Hmmm... may be masa dia gi camping aritu kot... tido dalam tent ramai2 with her friends..... wallahualam...

So today.. I got this lice shampoo from Dr Syed and asked bibik to do the necessary... both Izzat and Izzaty kasi lumur itu shampoo... senang cerita!!! And voila.... ni budak2 dua orang tu after dilumur ubat kutu!!! :D

Nothing much to do this weekend.... cannot go anywhere coz I am THE very THE broke!! Nasib baik esok 22nd... gaji masuk.. yeay!! Seriously... after paying income tax, paid for the flight tickets (to where? haaa... rahsia dulu buat masa ni... nanti kita cerita okay!), ect, ect.... my savings are really, really, really kempissss!!! :P Nak beli lipstick baru pun tak de budget tau... :( Tak sabar tunggu gaji esok!! :P

But today... we had to go out... ada 2 weddings to attend... both in Klang (thanks god it's in the same area!! Kalau tak sure tak dapat pegi salah satu.. ). First we went to hubby's staff wedding kat area Teluk Panglima Garang (I think!)... then went to my eGL team project member - Isma Aniza in Pandamaran area. Mama nye sibuk makan (sedap sangat lauk pauk kat both weddings! hehehe.. memang dasar kuat makan!)... so minta tolong Izzaty ambilkan gambar.. :)

Yang sorang ni... buat mama dia stress! Asyik main Nintendo in his waking hours!! Stop main only to mandi, doing business in the toilet, do Kumon homework or sleep!! :P Tension betul mama tenguk!! Mau je aku sorok Nintendo tu karang!!! Ni aksi2 dia main.... (penuh perasaan dan konsentrasi... I tell you!!)

Somehow, Izzaty's eyes got swollen and red again... and both hubby and I were really concerned caused it has been 3 weeks + and we have brought her to Dr N*raini, DSH's eye specialist twice!! So on Thursday night.. I began SMSing and MMSing picture of Izzaty's red and swollen eyes to my brother, Angah (who is so famous of getting red eyes due to allergy), my sister the doctor, Na (ye laa.. sapa lagi yg boleh minta advice selain dari adik beradik sendiri kannnn?? hehe) and lastly my friend, Dr Zainura (yeap... kawan SRKDI ku!! Ahhh... seronok nya ada kawan pakar mata nih.. hehehe!).

Angah recommended us to send Izzaty to Hospital Mata Tun Hussein Onn (infact, my colleague, June recommended the same thing!). I also thought it was a good idea to get a second opinion... (don't think I'll send her to Dr N*raini again :P).

And Dr Zai after seeing MMS picture I sent... recommended me to increase the usage of FML drops to at least 4 times daily.

As for Na.. she recommended to take ubat tahan gatal... in case that's what troubling Izzaty.

So on Friday morning... hubby volenteered to send Izzaty to the Hussein Onn Eyes Speacialist Hospital... (oww.. thanks darling!). And true enough... after checking her eyes(I was told doktor tu check lagi thorough compared to Dr N*raini yang check ala kadar tu!)... betul la... she probably got allergy (at least Dr N*raini was right about this!). Doctor asked her to increase usage of FML from 2 times to 4 times daily (spot on Dr Zai!! You're the expert!!). There's also an additional night cream for the swollen eyes and some pills utk tahan gatal (you're also right Dr Na! hehe..). Alhamdulillah... her eyes are getting better.... phew!! Lega makcik! Thanks everyone for your concern... *muah!* *muah!* Love you all!! hehe...

Another progress that I'd like to share in this blog is... the kids are now are sleeping in their own room.... yeay!! Well, actually when we renovated this house 8 years ago, we prepared 2 rooms for our kids - one girls room and one boys room - mana la tau kot2 ada lagi additional members in the family masa tu kann... But of course end up anak 2 aje... (huhu!).. so one room for Izzaty.. and another one for Izzat :) At the moment, since my mom is staying with us, she is using Izzat's room. So, I made both my girl and boy slept in the same room... on different beds of course. Izzaty got the bed.... whilst Izzat the pull out bed :) It's a double decker bed.. but I do not want my kids to sleep katil kat atas tu... due to my past experience! (Izzaty jatuh from the above bed back in 2003... ish... nauzubillah.. harap it won't happen to any kids ever again!)

It's not an easy task to pujuk them to sleep in their own room! Especially Izzaty! I tell you!! Dah bertahun2 I cuba pujuk! Aduhai.. she's now 10 years+... and still tido ngan mak bapak lagi you! My mom had been making noise for years!!! "Budak tu dah bosa panjang.. pisah an copek!"... my mom's exact words :)

So.... the day when Izzaty followed me to work for her first eyes check up with Dr N*raini, I brought her to Mid Valley... kebetulan ada Aussino offer... very, very good offer! I let Izzaty chose her bedsheet... and slow talk la ngan dia.... told her that she's such a big girl now... malu la tido ngan mama lagi... ajak adik temankan if you're scared (yeap... Izzaty ni mmg pengecut a bit.. may be that's the MAIN reason dia tak nak tido in her own room :P)... and lastly I promised to teman them in their room until diorang dah lelap...

Alhamdulillah.... berjaya!! So they are now sleeping in their own room.... and yes... every night I had to sleep with them first... before slowly creeping into my own room where my beloved hubby is waiting... *wink* *wink* ;)

Upsetting result

Izzaty told me that she only got 3As and 2Bs (both language subjects) in the previous mid term exam... somehow I am not surprised!! Surprisingly, Izzat pulak who did quite well... well, other than English (the only subject he got B)... the others are all 90 and above which I thought is quite good.

Izzaty's probably not doing well sebab active sangat in other things like quizes, tarian performances, ect. So she had to skip a few classes last term.... (and I actually encouraged her to be active in those activities... since she loves doing it... why not kan?)

It's also probably due to the fact that most of her friends go for tutions this year and she does not. And Mama pulak has been so busy... OGA lah.. reunions lah...not to forget asyik berjalan aje dengan si ayah (Bandung, Hanoi, umrah!)... ect, ect hehe!! And IF I'm home to teach the kids pun... asyik focus on Izzat je... considering he does need extra attention compared to his sister... coz I expected she can study on her own at that age. Aduhh.... sorry ya girl.. mama tak cukup tangan nih!! :( I did voice out to hubby if we should send Izzaty for tution... but hubby said tak payah... cheh.. typical! :P

Aduhai... buat strategy baru lah camni... but can't think right now... penat la mama je kena pikir :P

BBQ @ Angah & May's

It's the last day of school holiday... my brother, Angah and his lovely wife, May were kind enough to invite all of us to their house for a BBQ party :) Everyone was there... except for Along and family. We also celebrated my niece's 9th birthday. Danisyah looked so happy celebrating with her cousins :) They say... 'a picture paints a thousand words'.... so let's just enjoy the pics :)

• On Farhan's 4th birthday... his one-year-younger-brother, Ashraf cried... jealous lah tu! Farhan senyum lebar betul!! Suka die tenguk adik dia nangis :) Then 3 months later... birthday Ashraf pulak.. Farhan pulak nangis jeles.... when their mommy light the candles on the cake... Farhan cepat2 blow the candles before Ashraf did... apa lagi... nangis pulak birthday boy tu!! LOL... kuat betul sibling rivalry these 2 nephews of mine satu ketika dulu. Now, alhamdulillah... both of them dah besar panjang... handsome and macho dah! :)

• Pak Ngah had lots of hairs in the video!! And soooo slim and handsome!! :D He was quite a heart breaker once...I tell you!! Punya la ramai peminat!! :P

After 27 years!!

It all began in facebook.... last January when an x-classmate from Sek Ren Keb Dato' Idris, Tanjong Ipoh - Nor Zainura tagged me as her FB friend. I was like "OMG!!!! Zai!!!!! Budak SRKDI dulu tu?? She remembers me???!!!".... I really don't know how to put in words my reaction at that time... dah macam tak siuman pun ada... jerit2 kat office sorang2... *grin* Excited max!!! :) Apparently Zai traced me from a friend of hers who happened to know my sister, Na. (Both Na and Zai are doctors.. so logic la kan?). I later recommended Zita to Zai.... so there were just the 3 of us at the beginning :) Later, we managed to trace Jamiyaton (who is the most active hunter and managed to hunt the others like Lufti Fauzi, Zanariah, Zaimah, Hamidah, Suhaimi, Lotfi, Rosman, Sarina, Fadil, Fatimatul Masri, Zaidah and others), Hasri (another doctor who of course are in touch with Dr Zainura), Marazlin (used to be my best friend... I traced her via facebook jugak)... and the list goes on...

It's really amazing how this IT thing can continue back my silaturahim with my long lost friends!!! :)

Anyway, now that I have created the yahoo group for SRKDIan 1982... macam2 lah cerita lama keluar balik kan! Among the top stories....

- Si Fadhil dulu ngorat Si Mimi tapi tak dilayan... kuang kuang kuang... of course lee... Si Mimi tu kira perempuan paling cun in our batch :D

- Si Mamat menterajang Si Zaidah sebab gaduh pasal apa ntah! He actually remembered that incident (well... most of us ingat lagi of course!) and siap minta maap in the email group! :D

- Aton dulu yg meminati Hasri (yeap... satu kelas tau cerita nih dulu! Jiwang jugak Aton ni dulu2 ek? hehe) tapi tak dapat response langsung dari mamat sorang tu... hahaha... and now... Hasri actually cannot remember Atun?? How come la you??! Kena kutuk la dia... of course :D

- Si Mamat admitting pernah bergaduh ngan Si Azmi sebab rebut nak ngorat myself.. (what?!! How come orang yang nak dingorat tak pernah tau pun kes gaduh2 nih?? *LOL*)

- Zita once answered "I am sorry.. I dunno you" to Fadhil when he called her like 10 years back... Si Fadhil was so bengkek... sampai sekarang dia tak leh lupa kat budak NORAZITA KUDUS ni (he actually spells her name in capital letters! Bengkek lagi kot?? hehe). Tapi yg funny nya... Zita who's still single.. and Fadhil now a duda (anak satu).... we all kenen2 kan laaa... mana tauuu... kot2 ada chemistry... ahak! Ye laaa.. mula2 gaduh2 kan... finally...... ehem ehem! :D

... and macam2 cerita lah! Kelakar sungguh zaman hingusan kami dulu *grin* :) And bila dah ramai berkumpul in the yahoo group... mula lah planning nak start gatherings and reunions pulak! Nak jumpa balik kawan2 yang dah lama tak jumpa nih... 27 years to be exact!!

The first reunion was on 9th May 2009 at Kelana Resort, Seremban... I wanted to go... unfortunately I had to attend my cousin's wedding... so kempunan lah nak jumpa diorang... *sigh*

Most of them are either working in Seremban or live there... so they managed to do some teh tarik session as follow up reunions :) All of which I could not joined :(

I managed to meet Fatimatul Masri when I send Izzaty to DSH for her eyes check up last Friday though :)

So last Tuesday... since I know Tuesday is Dr Zai's off day... I set a date with those who can make it to Mid Valley (yes.... my favourite pot! hehe!) for lunch. Zita, Zai, Fadhil and Shaharudin managed to make it... we had lunch at the DOME (my first experience ever at Dome!)... thanks to our main sponsor, Dato' Fadhil! :) Sapa sangka kawanku yg sorang ni is now a succesful lawyer.. berpangkat Dato' lagi!! :) Thanks Tuk... sedap lasagna kat Dome!! :D Oh man.... we had so much fun!! Tak pandang dah orang2 keliling... seronok bercerita and reminiscing old stories :) Agaknya orang dlm Dome tu sure pelik... "where are these people from??"...coz we spoke real 'pokat' NS language!! *LOL*

Today... I finally met Jamiyatun!!! Budak Kampung Talang, kampung ayahku!! :) How she changed!!! Physically I mean... :) But she's still the old Aton... kelakar and talkative as ever! Ohhh... terubat rinduku!! :) We had lunch at Nando's.... and we were on our way out when Masri called.... aisay... minah ni lambat betul laa... so kena la tunggu dia sat... and bila dah jumpa tu... the 3 of us were like in our own world!! Lots and lots of catch up to do :) It was soooo nice meeting them again.... and by the time I reported duty at the office after lunch... dah pukul 2.30pm.. opssss... sorry boss!! :D Bad... bad employee!! :P

Cuti2 Malaysia - balik Melaka

I was sooo looking forward to spend the weekend balik kampung last weekend! Alhamdulillah... we had great fun in Melaka :) For the first time.... we all menjejakkan kaki ke kebun yg baru atuk usahakan since early this year! It's quite nice! The land is like a bay... but instead of tepi pantai... the kebun is tepi sawah :) The weather was nice.... so we had such a lovely time there! Teringat pulak zaman dolu2... when I used to play around my Wan's sawah with my sister - Na while Ayah was helping my Wan membanting di sawah.... rindu pulak den kek Kampung Talang tu.... *sigh*

We also had fun playing tourists on Sunday noon :) There's so much to see in Melaka! This time we tried the Menara Taming Sari (awesome!) and the kids and their daddy visited the Maritiam Museum... (whilst me, MIL and bibik window shopping kat arked kat depan tu.. hehe!). When we were queuing at the Menara Tamingsari, I saw Kak Yati and Bro Ibrahim (with their 2 sons) whom we got to know during our Umrah Trip last March. What a small world!! Of all places... boleh pulak terserempak kat Melaka! :)

Monday morning... we decided to leave for KL early... TAKE NOTE... ke KL okay.. not home!! :) Went to 1 Utama berfoya2... hehehe. Brought the kids to watch the Hanna Montana movie. I thought the movie is quite nice! I like!! ... ni case mama lagi over dari kids??? keh keh! :)

Petang baru balik to Bkt Beruntung. Send the kids straight to Kumon class.... kesian diorang... sure keletihan... tapi kalau balik rumah dulu nanti, sure pengsan terus... tak mau keluar dah. I saw the kids' ASHR photos at the Kumon Center... wah, ramai dah Ms Jaya's ASHR students now. Good for her!! :)

So today... back to work.... and NOT liking it :P

Izzaty got red eyes!

It's school holiday! But we can't go anywhere because my annual leaves cuma tinggal sehari!! :P Luckily, my SIL - Kak Eina left her 2 youngest kids - Alea and Ilhan at our place for 3 days... so at least the kids had fun jugak lah with their cousins.. walau pun just for a few days :)

Ever since the exam week... we realised Izzaty got red eyes... mula2 ingatkan merah biasa je.. rupa2nya memang real sakit mata! See picture above... see the red eyes?

So after the exam, I sent her to the new "Pusat Perubatan Aniza" (used to be Klinik Aniza... tapi now dah upgrade to a medical center which is much, much bigger and nicer!! Congratulations Dr Aniza! Good job!). Thought after a few days the red eyes would recover... but surprisingly it did not! On Wednesday morning, we realised her eyes dah jadi bengkak!Alamak!! I called Dr Aniza from my office and she told me to bring Izzaty to an eye specialist. A colleague of mine, June dok bercerita.. anak dia pernah kena macam tu jugak... due to allergic dengan ubat mata yg doktor bagi. So called pulak Dr Zainura, my ex-classmate during primary school (SRKDI) who happened to be an ophthalmologist... she suggested me to come over to her clinic in Sunway... aduhai.. jauh la Zai!! The most convenience specialist hospital for me to go is either Pantai Hospital or Damansara Specialist Hospital (DSH). Teringat another ex-SRKDIan who works at DSH... Fatimatul Masri. So, I called Masri and minta tolong dia buatkan appointment with the ophthalmologist kat sana... whilst I need to get GL from the Medijaring.

Alhamdulillah... with Masri's help... semua dipermudahkan. Izzaty's appointment with Dr Noraini went smoothly... tak yah tunggu lama pun... :) June was right... Izzaty's allergic to the ubat mata (see below pic). Luckily we all hantar Izzaty cepat... if not it would affect her eyes vision. The virus has entered the cornea... but not so bad lah! If we used the correct eye drops/ointment... by this coming Saturday, her eyes would be back to normal.. insyaAllah... Phew!

The good thing about all these was... I had the chance to meet Fatimatul Masri after 27 years!! :) She looks pretty the same... except much older of course ;) Seronok giler dapat jumpa kawan lama!!! :)

Esok kami nak balik Melaka.... hubby dah rindu kat parents dia! :) Both hubby and I are taking leaves on Monday (my last annual leaves for this financial year! tak pe.. tak pe... lagi berapa hari je nak masuk new financial year - July!).

Tak sabar nak balik Melaka.... sebab dah bosan dok kat office yg kosong sebab orang lain sume cuti!! :P

So Melaka.... here we come!!!! :)
