WhatsApp anyone?

My old cokia nokia phone fell into a toilet drain (boleh?) when I was at Izzaty's school surau. So I was desperate to get a new handphone! My dream.... of course to own...

White colour i-phone hokay! I love!! :) But dear hubby said 'you kan selalu bawak Izzaty nya ipad gi mana2.... so you don't need a canggih phone... beli yang basic2 jer dah la'. In other words  'tak yah le beli phone yang mahal2'  :P

Thanks to Sis Ika, she introduced me to the cheapest phone in Samsung Galaxy family - The Samsung Galaxy Y :) I got it for RM470... and the budget was approved by dear hubby.. haha! The "Y" stands for young.... and ohh.... mmg saya sangat terperasan young when I own this phone!! :D

I love my Samsung Galaxy Y. It's small, cute and have everything that I want in it :) Now, I can use 'Whatsapp' just like the rest of my friends... woohoo! I know... I know.... saya terangat lah outdated kan? :P

To Sis Ika.... murah2 pun... boleh add emoticons in my whatsapp okay! Jangan maraaaa... hahaha! :D

Change of Swimming Class location

I got tired of travelling on weekly basis back and forth from home-sweet-home to Maybank Academy in Bangi for Izzat's swimming class :( So I had made up my mind to change Izzat's swimming class to the nearest possible class - which is in Bukit Beruntung Golf Country Club (BBGCC).... that is just about 8 mins away from home-sweet-home :)

The cost of the lesson is RM200 for 8 lessons (1 hour for each lesson).... and on top of that we have to pay RM5 at the Club counter for each lesson for using their facility.... aiyoo... so expensive compared to the RM35 nett monthly that I pay to Maybank :P

On the positive side,  I think Mr Punnia, the swimming instructor in BBGCC is a better swimming instructor  :) He has less student (about 5) compared to Maybank Academy which has like more than 12 students at one time... so Izzat can get better attention here :) And he guaranteed me that Izzat can swim after finishing the 8 classes! But most important thing... I now can save time, energy and fuel! *not sure about the money though... haha!

A quiet CNY hols

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Hope you guys are having a great time during this long hols! :) May this dragon year bring us more luck, prosperity and great health! :)

This Chinese New Year came and passed relatively quiet. We did nothing fancy. Just stayed at home... doing house chores (yeah... like lots of laundries and ironing to do.. huhu! Izzaty came home with a bag full of laundries... LOL!) and spent some quality time with my family. We only went out to Rawang town to buy some stuff that Izzaty needs... did not dare to go further as the traffic everywhere was not so encouraging! :(

What's interesting this CNY? Izzat finally got to taste the famous Mc Donald's Prosperity Burger for the first time! :) He had been requesting for it for the past few weeks. I thought he could not tahan the taste of black pepper... surprisingly he actually like it!! :) But of course Mc Chicken is still his #1 favourite! Hehe :)  As for Izzaty, she is so exicited to be home on her first OB (outing bermalam). Me?? Just glad to have a good rest... and not having to go to work!! haha! :P

We used to go overseas during CNY... but I guess, this year keadaan tidak mengizinkan... huk! :(

Freshies Concert 1216

Okay. Here's my confession... I had been counting days this whole week *grin*

You probably would have guessed right? I've been sooooo looking forward to the CNY hols so that my little girl would be home and the whole family would be under the same roof again :)

I took one day leave last Friday to go to TKC with dear hubby - not only to fetch our girl but also to attend her special day - Freshies Concert a.k.a talentime show :) This has been a Kurshians tradition that has been practiced for years. Freshies Concert is a special 'concert' especially held to mark the end of the orientation day for the freshies or first formers here.

The very first show was a Dikir Barat show. And there she was, my little girl right in the middle of the front row of the Dikir Barat team smiling broadly while singing her lines :)

Aww... she looked so cute in her Dikir Barat costume! And hey... that's mama's old batik she's wearing as serempang! LOL!

I also enjoyed the traditional dance show. Sabrina and Anis (Izzaty's dorm-mates) looked adorably cute in their orange costumes! :)

There were other shows like modern dance, nasyid, French song, Japanese song, some acting scenes, ect, ect which I enjoyed as well... cuma tak berkesempatan mengambil gambar kerana memberi ruang to the other proud parents ke hadapan untuk mengambil gambar anak2 masing2 :)

But what I enjoyed most was the finale song - 'Standing in the eye of the world' and 'We're all in this together'. So sweet to see them together2 as one batch (the batch of 1216) menyanyi happily and dengan penuh semangat :) *parents pun dgn penuh semangat mengambil gambar...hehe!*

And their 'CS Besar' (senior College Sisters) cheering for the 'CS Kecik' (junior College Sisters) loudly from the hall balcony... so sweeeet :) and so typical Kurshian! I LIKE... hehee :)

And the final result at end of the show? The Dikir Barat team won the overall show. Wah.... that was a nice surprise! Congrats my girl! :) What a nice ending for the orientation week! Tak sia2 practice sampai suara serak kan? :)

All these really bring back the wonderful memories of my own freshies concert 29 years back... hehee *saje je kan!*. Guess in what show I was involved back then?? Jangan terkezut... tarian melayu okeh! :D *walaupun menari keras kejung... kah kah kah!*
Can you figure out which one is me??? Hah... jangan gelak!! :P

Izzat the cool Cyber Prefect! :)

Whoaaa.... I can't believe my son was chosen to be an ICT prefect (a.k.a Pengawas Makmal Komputer) at his school :) My little boy has finally found himself after all these years and I thought that is super cool!! :)

Now that his sister is not in the same school, I hope he can learn to be more independent and more responsible. He's a late bloomer you see... very, very playful and lack of self confidence in himself. Hope things will change after this... :)

Dah besar anak manja mama ni :) Am so proud of you my boy! :)

Nehi India??! :P

AirAsia X Re-aligns Network To Focus On Core Markets
Developments in Global Economy, Soaring Taxes and Higher Jet Fuel Prices leads long haul low-cost carrier to increase focus on core markets.
Kuala Lumpur, 12 January 2012. AirAsia X, the long haul, low fare affiliate of AirAsia, today announced a realignment of its network with a focus on its core markets.
The move will see AirAsia X withdrawing services to India (Mumbai and Delhi) and Europe (Paris, London) from its Kuala Lumpur hub as follows:
• Mumbai- Four weekly services will be suspended with the last flight on 31 January, 2012
• New Delhi- Daily services will be suspended with the last flight on 22 March, 2012. Flights in March will be reduced to four weekly services.
• London- Six weekly services will be suspended with the last flight on 31 March, 2012
• Paris- Four weekly services will be suspended with the last flight on 30 March, 2012
AirAsia X will offer guests who hold bookings after these dates an alternative travel option at no additional cost to mitigate the inconvenience caused as a result of these route withdrawals.
All affected guests will receive an e-mail stating options that are available to them, including :
1. a full refund, or
2. a reroute to another AirAsia X destination (e.g, in Australia and North Asia), or
3. a move to an alternative carrier where available.
These changes will improve operating cost efficiencies and consolidate its network to focus on markets where it can build a leadership position in 2012.
Dey!!! Does this mean our trip to India has to be cancelled??? Nehi... Nehi!!! :P This is so depressing! :( I was so looking forward for this trip :(

Sham Kamikaze @ Surau Al Insaf Maybank

One of my new year resolutions is to improve myself and try to attend as many as possible all the ceramah held at Maybank's Surau Al Insaf, insyaAllah. *Hmmm.... sebenor nya, last year pun the same resolution.... hahaha!*

Unfortunately, masuk jer 2011... I was so busy with the data recovery, tak sempat lagi attend any of the ceramah....boleh? Until yesterday. Kebetulan, penceramah jemputan was Ustaz Zul and Sham Kamikaze. Wahh... penuh surau Al Insaf on that day... alhamdulillah!! :) They talked about 'music in Islam'. Alhamdulillah... good to know muzik itu hukumnya 'harus' dalam Islam :) For a music lover like me... amat2 suka lah ngan statement nih :) Below pics are taken from Surau Al Insaf facebook album :)

The NEW Sham Kamikaze... alhamdulillah :)
The Old Sham Kamikaze
*googled pic*

Super TIRED... *sigh!*

Ever since we are bibikless now, I felt like there is so much to do but so little time :(

Izzat has to go taska now and alhamdulillah, he's okay with that.

The first week of 2012 was a real nightmare! Somebody forgot to update the 2012 calender in one of our databases causing havoc in our GL interfacing. And guess who had to do the data recovery? Of course.... YOURS TRULY :P Since this is the first time this problem ever occurred... jenuh nak prepare data for the recovery. It took me days to fully recover everything... and to make it worst, the bosses were breathing behind my neck almost every minute to follow up on the recovery progress.... SUPER STRESS okay?! :P For days, I had to come to the office super early, didn't had proper lunch and had to go back on the last bus at 8.30pm. (kalau my bus at 12 midnight... I bet 12 midnight jugak lah saya balik! :P) Telinga ni dah merah padam kena marah... huhu! Sungguh pathetic kan.... orang lain buat salah... orang yang buat recovery kena marah :(

At home, there are so many things to do. But alhamdulillah, my mom and hubby helped a lot with the house chores. Thank you dearest! Love you all!! *muah!*. Weekends are fully scheduled as well - Saturdays doing house chores, ironing school uniforms and work attire for the next week, not to forget sending Izzat to swimming class in Bangi. Sundays going to Seremban to visit Izzaty in TKC. Serupa tak de weekends daaa sekarang..... very the busy! *sigh!*

Baru je masuk 2nd week of 2012 and I am already super tired :( God help me.... semoga Allah memberi kekuatan untuk meneruskan perjuangan hidup ini...

Happy 13th birthday Izzaty ♥

Terasa sunyi bila Izzaty takde kat rumah :( But mama has been soooo busy with production problem for the past few days sampai tak sempat nak miss my daughter :)

I think so far, she is doing fine. Despite the fact, she called us complaining being 'homesick' and cried... she did not request to quit from TKC... which is a relief! :) Homesick is normal for a kid her age (kalau tak homesick may be tak normal :P). As long as she like it there... so okay lah :)

Yesterday, we visited her for the first time - that is 3 days after leaving her in TKC :P Mula2 ingat baru lagi tak mau la visit... tapi dia dah call nangis2 homesick.... okay lah... we decided to visit her. After all, IT'S HER 13th BIRTHDAY last Sunday :)

Tak beli kek or anything... just tapau nasi arab from Restoran Nasi Arab Damsyik in Senawang and berpiknik lah sekeluarga di sana :)

dah kecik sket pipi anak mama ni... x lalu makan agaknya... huhu!

Tak berhenti2 bercakap dan bercerita when we met her last Sunday :) Sounds like she is enjoying her life there :) Other than being homesick... I think she is adjusting quite well :) Cuma complained makanan tak sedap! :P She even got a 'starter' (what the...?? I assume this 'starter' thingy is like 'pet sister' kot??) - kids these days :D She is definitely adjusting well :P

When we left Bukit Merbah that evening, she cried again... huk huk! Mama dia tak leh nangis... nanti lagi si anak nangis kuat... huhu! Remember girl... you are there for a better future! So study hard and just enjoy your life there yah?!

On our way back to Lucky Hill, she called again and said "Mama, zaty rindu mama..." and cried again :( "mama datang tau next weekend!" Adoi yai.. baru plan tak mau datang... sebab the next week dia nak balik dah for the CNY hols. Hmm... tak sampai hati lak nak kata gitu.. so insyaAllah, next weekend, kami ke Bukit Merbah  again... huhuhu! Mama and Ayah so penat! :( Dah le bibikless nowadays. Kerja2 rumah on weekends le nak buat.. :( Tapi tak pe lah... untuk anak2 kami sanggup berkorban...

Mama misses you too my girl :(

After 29 years... :)

29 years ago, back in January 1983, I was just a timid kampung girl who nervously stepped into Bukit Merbah compound with my parents to register myself as a 'Kurshian'.

29 years later, on 4th January 2012, the same kampung-at-heart-girl stepped into Bukit Merbah compound again... but this time around as a proud parent to register my daughter as a 'Kurshian' :)

It's good to be back here in Bukit Merbah... :) Tahun depan kita ke Bandar Enstech pulak ya :)

Izzaty and Atiqah (daughter of friends of mine - Asri and Ila) disambut by kakak2 second formers the minute they stepped out of our cars. Check out their 1-and-1/2-inch school shoes heel... pergh!

Walking to the Grand Hall... Dewan Budiman... masih tersergam indah after all these years :)

Izzaty and Atiqah walking to the front of the hall. The freshies were required to sit in front. Parents at the back.

Timbalan Menteri Pelajaran Malaysia, YB Dr Haji Mohd Puad was there with us sempena pendaftaran pelajar tingkatan 1 2012.

Introducing the new Kurshians 2012 :)

Pembacaan ikrar pelajar baru. Hmm.... I did not remember reading an ikrar 29 years ago... :D

The proud parents! Dewan Budiman was a full house! Dalam kesibukan itu, yours truly sibuk menjawab phone call from office. There was a major production problem in the office - tension betul lah! Nak cuti pun tak senang!! :P

Later, outside the hall, registration bermula - all handled by the seniors. Good job girls! The registration was handled very smoothly! :) Like her mama, Izzaty is in SITI ZAWIAH house... yeay! She was placed in IPOMEA dorm and form 1N class this year :) 29 years ago... mama was in dorm MATAHARI and form 1K class :)

The good news is... Atiqah is also in SITI ZAWIAH house..... AND dorm IPOMEA! :) But she is in 1C class.

In the hall, the girls waiting anxiously to know who their College Sisters (CS) are. College Sisters (CS) are sort of 'kakak angkat' for the freshies that was assigned by the school to take care of them during their stay here in TKC. 29 years ago my CS was Kak Mahfuzah Mohamad, a fifth former and I had share her with a friend, Bidasari. So Bidasari was 'my twin' lah during my stay in TKC :) But nowadays, CSes are forth formers. So they basically took care of her junior CS for 2 years.

Atiqah meeting her CS :)

Izzaty and her CS - Aina, such a sweet little lady :)

At the kedai kooperasi - Aina helping us to buy the school bedsheet, selimut, baju koperat, baju sukan, ect, ect. Spent RM500++ here... huhu!

Meeting my senior, Kak Noza at the koop. Kebetulan her daughter, Natasha Qissy pun satu dorm (IPOMEA) AND satu kelas (1N) ngan Izzaty :)

Meeting Mr Tan Hock Ann! My Biology teacher when I was in form 4 and 5. Used to be one of my fav teachers!! Wah Mr Tan... you still look handsome lah! :) And I see you're still busy taking pictures just like 29 years ago :) He said he is retiring this year :) Mr Tan is also one of my FB friends tau! :)

The form one building - block G.

Izzaty's first dorm - Ipomea.

Form1 classes right in front of block G building.... wah, so convenient! 29 years ago tak macam ni pun.

Izzaty being taught by her CS on how to do the bed

Operasi mengemas locker :)

Ohhh... ada cara rupanya untuk menggantung baju dlm locker! huhu...

Aina helping and teaching Izzaty mengemas locker :) Wahh.... mama can relax a bit :)

My friend and a fellow Maybanker, Ila (Atiqah's mom) sibuk mengemas locker her daughter :) Alhamdulillah... seronok lak tenguk anak2 kami dapat the same dorm :)

The kecohness of their first day in dorm :) There are 12 beds and lockers in this dorm I think (or was it 14??). Anyway, parents (and grand-parents!) were busy meng-settle apa2 yang patut in this dorm.

Kak Noza - busy spraying dettol on her daughter's tilam, bantal and locker... hehee..

Senior and junior CSes smiling after finished cleaning the locker :)

Tara! Dah habis berkemas :)  Izzaty, this is gonna be your locker for the whole year.... jaga baik2 okay!

Her bed for 2012 :) And ohhh.... the teddy was a gift from her sekolah agama principle when she scored Mumtaz in the trial exam last year :)

Leaving my girl in Bukit Merbah before we went home..... huk huk! Am gonna miss you my girl....

Her room at home looks so quiet and lonely with her away in Bukit Merbah :(

Tomorrow is Izzaty's 13th birthday... tak sabar nak visit dia esok!! :)
