Raya with Maybank System Developers ;)

This Raya, the Maybank IT developers (SD I, SD II and SA groups) teamed up together to have Raya Gathering Open House :) Thanks God.... cause that means I don't have to fening2 organizing an open house for the Core Banking Section.... yahoo!! My name was nominated to organize this year's Raya open house for Core Banking and I really freaked out as I have no idea where to start! :P So, you can imagine how relieved I was when I got this invitation....

Which mean this Raya Open house will be combined with the other sections and thanks god, they have a special committee just for this event!! So I am safe :)) *lega giler!* I just need to handle the 'potluck' food on behalf of Core Bankers... which is not so bad... hehee :D

The day I turned 42...

Nothing special happened on the day I turned 42... huhu! No celebration, no birthday cake or anything.... What? Am I too old to celebrate my birthday?! :P 

But it's okay :) It's Syawal... so basically I spent the day beraya with my love ones ;) My family and friends made me feel special and loved on this special day ♥ ♥ ♥ 

My FB wall was overwhelmed with birthday wishes from friends and family members... Not to forget messages via SMS and Wassup! I am so touched you all!! Thank you so much for the thoughts.... love you all!!! ♥ *muuahhh!!* ♥ I am so blessed.... *bliss*

Hope you guys had a fantabulous Hari Raya with your love ones :) This year, we had a wonderful Hari Raya with my family in KL and later with hubby's family in Melaka. Managed to visit some uncles and aunties in KL.. .but unfortunately were not able to go back to Kuala Pilah due to the bad traffic heading to my hometown :(( I sure miss my hometown... serious lama tak jejak kaki ke sana!! Tempat jatuh lagi dikenang, ini kan pula tempat saya dibesarkan... huhu! Hopefully we can still make it to Pilahdelphia before end of this Syawal :)

Menjelang Hari Raya...

Ramadhan is coming to an end. I am sad :( I felt like this Ramadhan, I fail to do my very best to perform the recommended acts of this holy month :(( 'Bibikless' life is really testing me :(( There were so much to do that I found myself so exhausted at the end of the day :(( I want my bibik backkkkkk!! *wails*

Anyway, since Raya is around the corner... I guess we are all geared up for the festival. Oh yes, raya mood is already in the air! *but the mood is definitely not the same as previous years! this year raya ala2 kadar ajer... huhu* Fetched Izzaty from Bukit Merbah yesterday. Hubby was in Pekan again so mama has no choice but to do the supir job -_-. Journey to Seremban via PLUS highway was smooth. Traffic wasn't so bad. But I was soooo sleepy while driving that I had to stop at R&R Seremban to take a quick nap... huhu!! Seremban Town's traffic on the other hand was quite busy yesterday!! There was a loooooonnng queue along Jalan Tunku Kurshiah. Parents came to pick up their kids at TKC and the Sekolah Agama nearby. Infact, there was also a massive traffic jam in TKC school ground!

Traffic on our way home was not so bad until we reached the Shah Alam area! It was raining heavily so I guess you guys can just imagine how KL traffic would be! I decided to use the Guthrie Corridor highway instead of NKVE memandangkan keadaan ke NKVE yang kurang meyakinkan... tapi nak exit tol Shah Alam/Bukit Jelutung tu pun seksa giler! Once we passed the Shah Alam exit and enter the Guthrie Corridor baru okay. Was told that KL's traffic was even worst yesterday! It's one of those days lah.... heavy raining with bad traffic... *sigh!*

Today,  schools are already closed for the festival holiday. Kids are already on holiday... but mama and ayah still need to work till tomorrow.... urgh! So not fair! :P

Work is busy as usual. My office is going to be renovated after raya. So everyone has to clean up our cubicles before end of this month. I did my spring cleaning yesterday. Goodness... considering I've just been in this office for 2 years.... I sure do have lots of things kept in my cubicle drawers!! :D

Those bags and boxes contains kuih raya and other things that need to be brought home! I had to borrow the office's trolley to bring all those things down to my car in the basement car-park.... haha! Btw, this medium-size cubicle will soon vanished and to be replaced with.... a work bench!! A small work bench!!! Sungguh la tak menarik! :P Bosan... bosan... :P

Talk about raya preparation... remember I wrote in my previous post about a baju kurung that I sent to Melaka for beading work? The plain cotton kurung has now turned into a glam kurung, I tell you!!! :D

Amacam?  Nice, isn't it? ;) Frankly, I did not expect the beading to be so 'meriah'! I am a simple person... I wanted it to have simple beadings... but Eisha did extra job and make it so glam :) Haha... tak per aaa... nama pun baju raya kan.... sekali sekala glamour :D Btw, Eisha's number is stated in the pic, in case any of you are interested to get your clothes beaded as glam as mine :)

Okay people. I would like to wish everyone A VERY HAPPY RAYA! Mohon maaf jika ada apa2 entry in this blog yang menyentuh atau mengguris hati. Sesungguhnya, yang baik datangnya dari Allah... dan yang buruk tu dari diri saya sendiri.... Maaf zahir dan batin.

Of Raya Preparation

My preparation for raya this year is very, very moderate. Believe it or not... I have not gone to any shopping complex for raya shopping this Ramadhan! Macam tak percaya kan....hehe! Well, definitely not by choice... tapi tak berkesempatan! Stress I tak dapat shopping tau!! Hukss.... :'(

But alhamdulillah, most raya preparation has been done! At least all the important things! :) Baju kurung and baju melayu tahun ni all cotton! Tak gi kedai pun beli... online ajer ngan Sis Ika @ WardrobeUmi nya! 

Why cottons? Cottons are practical and comfy! It's sempoi too :)  It's too sempoi that I decided to sew some beads on one of the kurung... konon kasi naik seri sket :) But hubby said, 'tak payah la... nanti you penat!'. Hmm... true! Tak de masa pun ye... malas pun ye jugak! But still I want to do something to that baju! So here it is.... 

I just sew some pearls kat hujung tangan baju kurung ni.... simple but I like! :)

Another baju kurung cotton - mine and Izzaty's were sent to Melaka for beading... Tahun ni no time to do myself... so outsource jer kerja2 beading ni! Upah an FB friend in Melaka... Post ajer! Huhu... 

I guess I've been relying heavily on online shopping lately for this year Raya preparation *grin*. Tudung pun order online @ Sugarscaf and Souq Scarf. Ohh not those glamorous mak datin's tudungs with beads ya! I am no Mak Datin :P I really dunno how to wear one of those :D Just bought simple shawls for myself and Izzaty... that's all! :) Hmm... for the first time ever... tak menvisit  Masjid India which is just a few meters away from my office to shop for tudungs!! Ohhh... sungguh tak percaya!! :)) But opsss.... Ramadhan is not over yet.... I still got time to go shopping... muahahaha! :D

3:30am sleepy thoughts...

It's the implementation of IDMS enterprise Cobol upgrade. So yeah... yours truly is in the office now :((

Have to standby to monitor all the jobs to ensure all would run smoothly after the implementation.

This is the 2nd year in a row that I have to be on standby during Ramadhan month. Last year it was the CV07 decommission project implementation. Oh please... no more standby in fasting month after this :P

It's already past 3:30am. 

Way past my bed time :P

Would it be nice if there is a sleeping bag here... ;))

Losing a friend :(

Di bulan Ramadhan yang mulia ini, dapat lagi satu berita sedih.... a friend, a fellow IT maybanker.... passed away this morning.

Al Fatihah buat saudara Abdullah Salim....

I was shocked to hear the news as I just met him a few days ago when we registered ourselves for Tabung Khairat Kematian Persatuan Kakitangan Islam Maybank! Infact, I saw him almost everyday at surau! How can he suddenly just.... gone??

Many of us know that he had thyroid problem but little that we know that the thyroid had apparently grew worst and became cancer...

He passed away on a beautiful Friday morning in the holy month of Ramadhan... Bertuahnya lah! A very good man and liked by all colleages and friends! So it wasn't a surprise to see many Maybankers, including yours truly at his house in Nilai paying our last respect to him this morning. My heart goes to his family especially his wife and 3 small children :'( May Allah gives them strength during this difficult time...

Semoga arwah ditempatkan bersama orang2 yang beriman....

I so ♥ this photo!! =) It's priceless!! It's the only photo of myself aged below 3 years-old that I have! Was very upset when I misplaced the photo and could not find it for years! Alhamdulillah, it has been found now... Happy sangat2!! :))

When I showed this photo to Izzat, he was like "apesal muka mama sama ngan Kak Long kecik2?' LOL!!

Did you guys notice that I was holding a pencil in this pic? I was told by my dad (repeatedly - seriously! :P) that the pencil belonged to the owner of the kedai gambar where we took this pic. I saw the pencil at the shop... fell in love with it and terus ambik -_- Refused to let it go during the photo taking session :D My dad said... 'nampak sangat degil dari kecil'... muahahahaa :D

I miss my dad.... :'((
