Jom belajar berenang!

If you read my previous post here you would have known that one of my wishes that has not come true is... to learn how to swim! :P

But now.... I felt like it's too late for me to do so :( *sigh!* I'm too old lah! Lazy oredi :P

But it's definitely not too late for my kids to go for swimming lesson. I had planned soooo many times to send them for swimming classes... but somehow ada jer lah reason yang menyebabkan plan tu tak menjadi :P

But this time around... no turning back! I registered the kids for swimming class at Maybank Academy, every Saturday from 3 - 6pm (mak oiiii... 3 jam!! Kecut le bebudak tu!!). And best of all.... it costs only RM35 per head, per month!!! So darn cheap!! ;) I like!!

So last Saturday was their very first formal swimming lesson @ Maybank Academy.

November luncheon

It has been months since I last attended OGA activities! Very the busy lah for the past few months... huhu! So, when I received an email from Kak Sharid on OGA November luncheon... I quickly emailed my 'partner-in-crime' - Wewe :) And both of us agreed to mark our calender to go to this luncheon :)

Title : Personal Investment

Kak Nik Amlizan (TKC 8185) is the Director of Equity Department at Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP). I thought the topic is quite interesting! Well, any topic related to money is definitely interesting, right? :D To tell you the truth, I am quite hopeless in the topic of investment... nama jer kerja ngan bank :P Hey.. I am an IT staff okay... so I don't deal with any investment matters :P But I did learn some tips on investment from this talk! Thanks Kak Nik :)

Quite a number of old girls turned up for this talk today, especially from Kak Nik Amlizan's batch - 8185. But best of all... I got the chance to meet my old roomie in AR3 back in 1987 - Nik Sazlina :) Oppsss.... it's Toh Puan Nik Sazlina now! :) She is married to Tun Azmi (the previous Ketua Hakim Negara who recently retired). It's been a while since we last met... that was when we crushed her house in Putrajaya for the deepa-raya makan2 in Syawal 2009! It was great meeting you again darling!!! I really missed you!!! You should come to the OGA luncheon more often okay!! ;)

As usual, I opted to eat this menu as my main dish. Well, I chose to eat this ALMOST every month - I have no idea why?! :P Nowadays, it's not spicy anymore... and I am beginning to get bored with this same menu... :PRemind me NOT to chose the same menu on my next visit :P

Tak sempat nak bersocial lama2 after the luncheon as I need to rush back to my office :( Can't afford to take 1/2 day leave anymore as I am saving my annual leaves for our family trip to Singapore after X'mas this December.

Her most MEMORABLE week ♥♥♥

It's a beautiful and most memorable ending for Izzaty in the final week of her school life in both primary schools (SK Bukit Beruntung & SRA Bukit Sentosa Fasa 1).

Syukur alhamdulillah.... she did very well in both UPSR (5As) and PSRA (mumtaz with aggregate 92.4%). Mama and ayah are so proud of you darling.... *muah!* *muah!* Berbaloi kan usaha dan pengorbanan selama ni? ;)

Izzaty also got 1st place in the final exam in both schools and was awarded 'Anugerah Tokoh Pelajar 2011' at SK Bukit Beruntung. I can't describe how proud I felt when the teacher called her name (well, actually, the parents' names were mentioned first before her name was mentioned... hik hik... mama and ayah tumpang glamour :D ) during the Tokoh Pelajar award ceremony. If only I could upload the video that I took at that memorable moment in this post.... huhu!

Tokoh Pelajar SKBB 2011?? Macam tak percaya!! :) Tahniah my darling girl! All the hard work pays kan? :)

Petang, kami ke SRA Bukit Sentosa Fasa 1 to get her PSRA result. Alhamdulillah she got Mumtaz with aggregate 92.4%.... a slight drop from her trial result and her friends beat by getting higher aggregates. Probably sebab result tauhid/fekah merosot... (jiyid jida and not mumtaz)... but still... alhamdulillah, keseluruhannya masih bawah kategori Mumtaz :) In case you guys are wondering, 'Mumtaz' is 90% and above whilst 'Jiyid Jida' is 70% - 89%.

Only 11 students from her school got mumtaz... alhamdulillah :) Congrats boys and girls! Semoga anda semua menjadi insan yang berjaya dunia dan akhirat! ;)

17/11/11 : THE BIG DAY!!! UPSR Result is out!!!

Saat yang mendebarkan... Everyone looked nervous... bila la cikgu nak announce result kami nih.

The school announced the 5As students first. Those who got 5As were called up to the stage to pick up their result slip plus an envelope with RM50 notes in it - an award from the school's PIBG.

...and when 'her' name was announced, baru lah mama mampu menarik nafas lega... alhamdulillah... thank you Allah....

The straight As students. Only 28 students this year... merosot berbanding dengan tahun2 sebelumnya... but the good news is, peratus overall result improved dan sangat membanggakan pihak sekolah... alhamdulillah ;)

Tanda persahabatan - rakan2 yang berjaya memujuk rakan2 yang menangis kerana tidak berjaya mendapat keputusan yang diidamkan. Sebagai seorang ibu, saya juga menitiskan air mata melihat mereka menangis. Jangan sedih anak-anak... perjalanan kamu semua masih jauh lagi ke hadapan... masih banyak lagi peluang di hadapan anda semua... cuma jangan berputus asa dan teruskan perjuangan anda! InsyaAllah....

Kasih seorang ibu - Adik Fatin who got 5As cried and hugged her mom... seorang anak berkongsi kegembiraannya dengan ibu tersayang..... :)

Friends of 6 years - Izzaty, Husna, Fatin, Ilmie and Ainor - all straight As... good job girls!

Alhamdulillah... syukur ke hadrat Allah atas rezeki yang dianugerahkan.

Hadiah untuk Izzaty? Hmm... she did request something from mama. But after dapat result.... she changed her mind to something else pulak. She is still indecisive on what she really wants :) Hmm.... takpe... nanti kita cerita kemudian... hik hik ;D

Si adik?? Hmm... he did quite well in the final exam... I am quite happy with his result except English dapat "B"... adoii... :( So dapat lah nombor 15 in class and 16 dalam peralihan... boleh la tu.. alhamdulillah :) Am still proud of him!!! =) Tapi mama kena usaha lebih to improve his English! :) Okay dear... speak more English okay! :P

Kenduri doa selamat @ Klinik Pergigian Qistina

Alhamdulillah.... Klinik Pergigian Qistina telah siap dan bersedia beroperasi! Tunggu KKM punya approval ajer ni! :) Last Sunday, a small kenduri doa selamat was held at the clinic. Special guests are pakcik2, makcik2, abang2 dan kakak2 (my in-law's friend) from Flat Sri Sabah, Cheras yang bertungkus lumus bergotong royong membantu my father-in-law memasak di Flat Sri Sabah dan kemudian mengendalikan majlis membaca Yaasin di klinik ini. Alhamdulillah.... semoga klinik ini diberkati dan dirahmati Allah, menarik ramai pelanggan dan dilindungi dari apa2 perkara yang tidak diingini.... Aamin.

One Peri-peri Fine Afternoon @ Petaling Street

It's Friday... yeay!!! =) Lots of activities for the past few weeks and I am physically and mentally exhausted!:P More activities scheduled this weekend and god help me... I need all the energy in this body to stay standing on my feet!! :P

Yes, it has been such a draining week... *sigh!*. Apa2 pun... makan tetap makan! :) So this afternoon, I decided to follow my colleagues to celebrate the starting of our weekend by having 'makan besar' at Nando's Petaling Street this afternoon :)

We chose the menu package for 4 people.... cheaper maaaa... :P What's in the menu???

The famous Nando's peri-peri chicken - Extra hot flavour for June, hot flavour for yours truly and Herb and lime flavour for Sis Ika and Linda =)

It came with a big plate of wedges and 4 sidelines of our choice - We chose peri-peri corns, peri-peri coleslow, potato salad and grilled vege =)

Also included - my fav healty diet - Ceasar salad! =)

The drink - can't remember the name of the drink but it's like Sprite soda + sunkist... sedap! =)

Oh yeah... sangat kenyang okay! =) Nama pun makan besar kan =) Anyway selepas kekenyangan, Linda, June and myself decided to burn some calories by going jalan2 at the famous Petaling Street or better known as China Town to some of you :) Lots of fun stuff sold here! And not to forget, it's so famous of selling pirated products! :) When was the last time you guys came here? Petaling Street is very near to my office... and once in a while, my friends and I love visiting this place! :)

Macam2 ada @ Petaling Street... price? Can get cheap... tapi kena bargain like hell! :P

Louis Vuitton handbags anyone? =) In this pic, Linda was comparing the Petaling Street's LV with her original brand LV she recently bought at LV boutique in KLCC - same model you all!! But of course different quality :) Mana boleh lawan the original one... huhu!
