Ngeteh session with x-SRKDIan girls

A few week back, I got an email from a friend in the SRKDI82 mailing group inviting us for a 'ngeteh session' at Bangi Kopitiam on 26th March 2010. Hmm... at the beginning tak berani nak janji... but I really want to meet them... so yesterday, usahakan jugak lah and yeap... I went to Bangi :)

From Bukit Beruntung to Bangi took about 1 hour ++. On my way there... I got a call from Germ who informed me that her daughter was admitted in a hospital in Bangi due to high fever + asthma. She knew that I would be in Bangi (coz I told her so masa nak tanya jalan to Bangi Kopitiam - She's staying in Bangi kan... sure can help me one! :) ) Kebetulan pulak Germ said the hospital is nearby the Bangi Kopitiam! Ohh... boleh la visit nanti!

With help from Germ and my phone GPS... I managed to reach here earlier than planned...

While waiting for our orders (most of us kelaparan sebab skip lunch), kami dijamu dengan makanan2 nostalgia ni...

Biskut panjang/biskut balak Maryam Bakery..made in Tg.Ipoh, Negeri Sembilan....the Maryam Bakery was actually (still is I think!) just opposite our old school SRKDI :) Been eating this since we were all kids. Makan cicah ngan tea or coffee... uhhh... sedap!! :)

This is 'kacang tumbuk' :) Used to eat this when we were kids. Of course it was in different packaging then! :) Zana and Jedah bought a few kilos of these when they were in Vietnam... konon nak show to their nieces and nephews makanan yang diorang makan zaman kanak2 diorang. Then, later... jumpa the same thing jual kat Seremban.. hahaha! Ghupo eh tak yah poie jauh2 boli doh... kek sinia pun ado! Ini Malaysia daa! Macam2 ado! :)

On top of all that, Zana, Jedah and myself makan benda ni jugak... Cendol + ice-cream... sodap amek2!!! Yummilicious!! :)

Lama jugak borak2... macam2 cerita borak! We sure have lots to catch up :) The ngeteh session ended around 7pm (goshh... I did not expect to stay so late!! Aiyookk... hope hubby faham.)

Later, Zita and I wanted to visit Germ's daughter. Since Germ said the hospital is just nearby Bangi Kopitiam... so, kami pusing2 that area... jumpa lah Az Zahra Hospital. Dengan confidentnya masuk je Az Zahra and asked the registration counter if there's a patient by the name of Nisa. The nurse said takde! Hmmm.... weird!? So I called Germ who informed me that she is at 2nd floor, bilik Rose. Okay... kami pun naik lif to 2nd floor... tapi tak jumpa pulak bilik Rose. And the nurses told us "kat sini tak ada bilik Rose". Erkkk????? Zita began asking me.. "Salah spita ko apo kito ni?" Duh!! Ye lahhh.... I was told by friends that kat area ni ada 2 hospitals! So called Germ and she confirmed that she is at An Nur Hospital... which is just a few meters away from Az Zahra! Adoii... malu nyaaa!!!!!! Kelakar pun ada! :D

Alhamdulillah... dapat jugak visit little Nisa yang comel ni :)

Lama jugak dapat borak ngan Germ. Her sister, Azie and her family were there too. Left the hospital after Maghrib prayer and terus balik. Zita, Zana, Jedah and Mimi stopby kat another shop - 'Ice Room' for an ice-cream rendezvouz :P Sorry babes, den tak pek join doh.... kono balik copek haa... dah lambek nih.. huhuhu! :P

Ice-skating @ Sunway Pyramid

As planed, we went ice-skating today... woohoo! It was the kids' first experience! They were so excited... malam2 lagi dah sibuk tanya what to wear, what time to go, ect, ect.

We reached Sunway Pyramid around 10am. Brought socks and gloves from home so that I don't have to pay extra for those things that we already have ;) *wearing socks and gloves are compulsory during ice skating here.

At 10am, there were not many people yet on the ice rink...

Some of the kids are really good! Boleh pusing2 lagi! pergh!

I was a bit nervous when I first stepped on the ice... maklum laahhh.. dah bertahun tak berice-skating! Had to bergayut tepi dinding for a while to get myself familiar with the skates and balancing myself on the ice. But after a while.... okay laa... can skate without bergayut anymore :) Can eksyen a bit laa with my kids... hik hik! Tapi suspen juge... maklum laa... at my age... kalau jatuh... sure double sakit... ouch! After a few rounds skating.. dah penat... *sigh*. Yeah... I know... I know... I am old :P

As for the kids... being first timers, they struggled at first... Izzaty dok bergayut lama tepi2 dinding tu... tapi si Izzat dengan beraninya cepat je ke tengah! Oh my.. macam bagus je sorang nih.... jatuh ntah berapa kali... muahahaa... kelakar pun ada tenguk masa tu! :D Worry pun ada gak... takut he got himself injured! But alhamdulillah, other than blisters on their feet... both kids survived :) Let's enjoy the pics below... look out for a kid in yellow sweater! that's my Izzat! :D

I lost count how many times Izzat fell down, tapi boleh jugak la dia skate... :)

By 12noon, there were lots of people in the rink. By that time, Izzat was already tired and had blister on his feet... Izzaty je yang masih belum puas dan seronok ber ice-skating. She even made new friends on the rink :) Later the management chased everyone out of the ice rink in order for them to resurface the ice. We decided to leave the rink. Perut pun dah lapar. Had lunch @ KFC. Then shopping a bit before going home... seronok jugak ya shopping kat Sunway Pyramid nih :)


Tomorrow, last minute plan... I am taking another day leaves. We are going balik kampung Melaka! :) Actually, the main reason we want to balik kampung is... we received news that a good friend of hubby from Muar, Mr Salman had met with an accident last Wednesday. Quite bad we heard :( He is now hospitalised in Hospital Mahkota, Melaka. We'll be visiting him at the hospital tomorrow... then alang2 dah sampai Melaka... of course head to hubby's hometown... Kampung Sempang Pantai, Merlimau :)

Hopefully the traffic won't be so bad...

School Holiday is here again!

Oh yes.. it's school holiday, again! So only school kids are on holiday yah... mama and ayah are not and still gotto work! :P

I was on FB this morning when my aunt send a message asking if I am going anywhere this school holiday. I wish I am! *sigh!* Unfortunately nope.... :( During this school holiday, my daughter has kelas tambahan at her sekolah kebangsaan in the morning from 8am to 12.30 noon... and later sekolah agama in the eve from 2.30pm to 5.30pm - serupa tak cuti daaa!!! :P But the good news is... the classes are just from Mon to Wed....

SO.... on Thursday, I am taking leaves! Am bringing them jalan2 cari pasal :) Most probably we're going ice-skating at Sunway Pyramid. The kids have never been ice-skating. I, myself have not been ice-skating for a long, long time....

Terkenang pulak zaman dolu2 berice-skating with friends during my life studying abroad... This picture was taken during my short-stay in Ames, Iowa with an old friend who I have not met for a very long time, Ms Alus.

I can't wait to do ice-skating again this Thursday! The kids and I are sooooo looking forward to our outing this Thursday, woohoo!!! =)

Well... that is all our plan for this school holiday! Sound so boring kan?? huhuhu... :P

Lunch break with girlfriends

My x-classmates for 5 years cum my Public Mutual agent, Wewe came to see me at the office today. We planned to have lunch together at one of my favourite nearby restaurants, Restoran Ayam Kampung Bandariya. I invited another x-schoolmate of ours, Germ to join us - kali ni, saya belanja ok! :)

Located near Leboh Ampang, Restoran Ayam Kampung Bandariya is very famous of its delicious 'ayam kampung'.... very crunchy! yummilicious!! :)

Our menu - The famous 'ayam kampung' (sorang 2 ketul ayam lagi! melampau sungguh! haha!), sambal ikan bilis, sambal sotong, gulai daging, taugeh goreng, masak lemak ikan (not sure what type of fish coz I did not eat this dish) and lastly a spicy but delicious sambal belacan! :)

And my lunch buddies for today are these 2 beautiful ladies :)

Wewe - who claimed she skipped breakfast this morning and very, very hungry! :D

Germ - who's actually on leaves as she had to send daughter to nursery for the first time (her maid of 3 months ran away with a boyfriend!). She basically had to 'pujuk' her hubby, Ayit to get permission to have lunch with us... lol! Oh, by the way... thanks Ayit for being such a sport! :)

Seronoknya dapat lunch with these 2 lovely ladies :) Really helped to release stress - ohh yess... it has been such a draining week for me! With work loads in the office during daylight and teaching my 9 year old boy preparing for his monthly test at night.... sangat2 stressful :P Lagi stress bila nampak ada orang tu dok syok bersenang-lenang depan TV tenguk Glee, American Idols, ect while I on the other hand had to miss those favourite series of mine just to teach my boy.... grrrr!!! Tak aci sungguh! :P

Anyway, when we finished lunch (and after yours truly signed a new form for Public Mutual brought by Were, my Public Mutual agent), we walked back to Menara Maybank. There were a few booths set up in Menara in conjunction with the 'International Women Day 2011' celebration. So, sempat lah kami bertiga mencuci mata and bershopping benda ni ....

Can you all guess what these are??

They are BluCotton [e]co-friendly menstrual cloth pad that is comfortable, washable and come in lotssss of fun designs!! Wewe was promoting us to try them - said she has been using those comfy clothes pad for months! Not only us... she was like promoting them to everybody who stopped by at this booth!! Wah... ni sudah free promotion nih! BluCotton should hire Wewe as their promoter... haha! But those things do look comfy lah... and I (tergoda you!) bought 2 cloth panty-liners and 2 medium-size cloth pads for a start :)

These are my first collection. Comel tak?? haha... giler betul... pads pun nak pilih yang comel! kah kah! My son said 'mama ni tak malu lah... letak gambar pads dlm blog'...duh! :P

SKBB Sport Day 2011

This year, Izzaty were not involved in any final events on the Sport Day... but she did won a gold medal in the 4 x 100m which was held earlier (before the real Sport Day). But... she did participate in the perbarisan competition. If last year, she was in the Tunas Puteri team, this year, she was in the Blue team perbarisan... jadi mascot lagi! hehe... kelakar la pulak tenguk :)

As for Izzat, he got 4th place in the 4 x 100m. Frust member tak dapat pingat... hehe. Never mind darling... at least you participate and try your best... :)

I thought the blue house's khemah was beautifully decorated and should won the 'khemah terbaik'... but Yellow house won the title instead. I wonder why?!
