This is a very, very special luncheon for all of us. Prof Dr Muhaya, a very popular ophthalmologist, writer, speaker and motivator was so inspiring! With lots of things going on with my life lately, I found her talk about how to find happiness in life so meaningful and interesting. I've seen her on TV but never imagined meeting her in person! :) I am blessed to be able to meet such a formidable person! :)

And what an inspiring talk she gave!

I really enjoyed Prof Dr Muhaya talk! It taught me not to take LOVE for granted. Respect other people no matter who they are. Ketepikan ego kita.... (ini lah masalah unhappiness most of the time kan? :P) Apply "Thought, Feel, Action, Result" in life. Mind power is a dual system that includes the power of thought (brain) and the subconscious working together. Since the mind reflects habitual thoughts, it is important that we influence our mind and brain with positive emotions, thoughts and energy. Positive thinking will manifest into reality. So.... in order to achieve what we want in life we need to develop a positive mental attitude which is the key to everything in life - be it health, wealth, spiritual connection, relationship and financial status. So okay people... remember that... always POSITIVE THINKING!! :) Huhu... easier said than done eh? But let's try it anyway! Let's be POSITIVE okay! :)

My menu for this week - Linguine Mama Chef ; Flat spaghetti with seafood and spicy sambal.... oh boy! Very, very spicy indeed!!!

And ohhh.... today my rezeki so murah... alhamdulillah!! :) Came home early today (was on 1/2 day leave) with these 2 delicious food given by beloved friends...

Yummilicious homemade sambal sotong by Kak Ajue :) She said it was cooked with love!! Awwww.... no wonder it is sooooo yummilicious!! Terharu makcik.... huhu! LOVE YOU SISTA!!! *muah!* I sooooo love your sambal sotong!!! :)


Smooth and delicious choc cake specially made by my bus-mate, Nonie... thanks sista... you have been such a great listener!! LOVE YOU!!! *muah!* Izzat's favorite nih! Sekelip mata je abis nih :)

Prof Dr Muhaya reminded me of things that I had lost focus on along the way.... I am so blessed today :) Syukur alhamdulillah :) Like what I've learned from Dr Muhaya's talk today... be happy for no reason :) But in my case, I have lotss of reasons.. hehe!

Ohhh... and another reason that's making me happy right now is the fact that I am going to Ho Chi Minh City for a shopping spree tomorrow.... woohooo!!! :) :) :)

Reunion with my old boss

A few days ago, I got an FB friend invitation from an unfamiliar name... but when I click on her pic... OMG!! It's the pic of my ex boss - Puan Raeyah! Mayban Finance first IT Manager!! :) And today, Puan Raeyah came to visit us at Menara Maybank :) She actually went to a few floors in Menara Maybank to find us - some at 25th floor, some at 44th floor... and of course 'us' at 5th floor ;) Wow Mam..... you look FABULOUS!!!!! Seriously!! Makin cun gitu! Was so happy to meet you again Mam.... *muahh!* Pn Raeyah sempat memberi ceramah pada kami yang tak reti2 nak jaga badan dan kesihatan nih... huhuhu! Ye lah.... we all pun jeles tenguk Mam slim-melim dan semakin mengancam... apakah rahsia?? Do share laa... :)

I am in the office right now. I have no idea why, but today I can't seem to stop humming this favorite evergreen song of mine....

I ♥ rainbows :) I wish I can fly over a beautiful rainbow... and left behind all the problems and uncertainties that are bothering me... *bliss!*.

Our fridge magnet collections

I started collecting fridge magnet when I was studying in the States back in 1994. I bought magnets at cities that I visited as souvenirs then later put them on the fridge at my rented apartment. Later when I got married, I still put those magnets on my fridge :)

This hobby of mine later was transmitted to dear hubby... hehehe :) So it’s like a trend now… at every cities or countries we visit, we will find a fridge magnet to add to our collection ;) But over the years, some of the magnets were either broken or spoilt. Itu laa... ganas sangat bukak fridge kot... some of the magnets fell down and broke :( We did not want to lose more magnets, so... for the past few years, we kept our fridge magnets collection in a big Tupperware with intention to buy or order a special cabinet just for them :) Punya lama cari tak jumpa… we finally heard about this magnet holder sold in ikea..

Wahh.... kami borong 4 of those thing in Ikea!! :D Later, we went to a local furniture shop and requested the apek to make a special cabinet using those magnetic boards that we bought in ikea. And here's the outcome of it.... :)

We got 2 cabinets out of the 4 magnetic boards! :)

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of arranging our fridge magnets collection into these new cabinets :)

Friday 13th yang bersejarah

@ MY office, IT Core Banking had free breakfast this morning :) No special occasion... just to tighten the relationship between staff :)

Everyone was hungry... tak sabar2 menunggu bila boleh makan :)

Okay... let's eat!! Eh... why la nasi lemak kaler hijau??? Oooo... nasi lemak pandan!!

Nasi lemak pandan, sambal ikan bilis, sambal sotong, ayam goreng berempah, kacang, papadom, timun..
*BURP!* kenyang sampai ke petang.... huhu! Alhamdulillah...

Meanwhile, @ DH office, "another important history" has taken place... huhu! Tak payah la citer detail... Semoga Allah memberi kami kekuatan menghadapi segala dugaan dalam hidup ini.....

Hottest days in Maybank

I dunno what the problem is... but the air-cond in my office has not been functioning for 2 days in a row! I felt like working in an oven! :P

Yesterday, the air-cond did not work in the entire Menara Maybank. The whole building is hot like sh*t! :P Cannot tahan one!! Most of the staff rushed home early at 5.45pm sharp.... huhu!

Today, the air-cond is back in service in this building EXCEPT for offices in 5th floor.... where my office is located :P Waduuhhh... banyak dosa agaknya penghuni level 5 ini diduga sebegini... huhuhu! And those who have been in my office would understand how crowded the office is! Rasa tak cukup oxygen kami dibuatnya! :P

This tiny weenie little fan of mine had to do extra work for these past 2 days - but macam tak function jer... still tak terasa anginnya dlm cuaca panas sebegini :(

Dalam kami kepanasan petang tadi, nasib baik lah ada seorang insan yang sangat berbaik hati membelanja the whole bunch of us @ Core Banking Section, 5th Floor ni... teh limau ais :) Ahhh... sungguh nyaman dapat menikmati air teh limau ais in this hot weather! :)

p/s: Baru 2 hari working in the heat also cannot tahan kan? Imagine those people who earned their living by doing hard work under the sun....

On the mother's day weekend, kami juga sempat balik ke Melaka to attend hubby's cousin wedding. Congratulations to Mala and her husband... moga bahagia ke akhir hayat :) Ohh... romantic jugak ya... tiap2 tahun celebrate anniversary + mother's day sekali - 2 in 1 gitew! :)

♥ 17 again on OGA Day ♥

As planned, I came back to TKC in Bukit Merbah, Seremban yesterday :) After 24 years leaving the alma matter.... huhu... yeah, I am THAT old! *sigh!*

The feeling of being in Bukit Merbah ground again is indescribable! :P This is probably the last time we'll be stepping our feet here (since TKC would probably be moving to Bandar Enstek by next year - but NOT confirmed okay! ).

It was like Déjà vu - I felt 17 all over again *bliss* :D

Feeling the familiar aura of Bukit Merbah..... ahhh... I miss this place... *sigh!*
How could I not?? Spent 5 years of my teenage life here! :P


After registration, we quickly booked seats in Dewan Sri Budiman :)

Ohhh... seats were fully booked - Dewan Sri Budiman is a FULL HOUSE! So they got first class seats instead - right in front of the stage ;) Sangat2 meriah!!! I like!!

Today, all of us are 17 again :)

After that, everybody went separate ways. Some stayed in the hall for the aerobic session. Some off to play games like volleyball, hockey, basketball, netball, basketball, telematch, ect. Since this would probably be my last time in Bukit Merbah... I decided to make a walk down memory lane for old time sake :D First place that I must visit - Block A, Rumah Siti Zawiah!! :)

In Block A (yellow house - Siti Zawiah) lounge.... nice! Dulu tak le seceria ni... :P This was where we used to gather before house cleaning on Sundays or any special gatherings for Siti Zawiah members.

Block A! From far, I can see my old dorm - Matahari!

Matahari used to be a dorm for Yellow house first formers. I was in this dorm back in 1983. Staying in this dorm with about 31 girls (if I am not mistaken) we definitely share lots of memories here... :D

Inside Matahari now. Used to be double deckers in this dorm. Nowadays I was told this dorm was used by the 2nd or probably 3rd formers...

After reminiscing my days in Matahari, I went to the upper floor to visit dorm Dahlia - my dorm when I was in form 2 (1984) and form 3 (1985).2 years in this dorm... lagi la banyak kenangan :P

Just next to Dahlia is room AR3 :) Used to stay here when I was in form 5 (1987).I was the house secretary for Siti Zawiah you see... due to that jawatan I was holding for the house... dapat lah stay in a room - sharing with these 3 prefects - Nik Sazlina (Toh Puan now, mind you!), Juita and Aima @ Deme :) I was the only 'not-prefect' in this room :)

See... out of 5 years in TKC, I spent 4 years in block A!! :) Only during my 4th year, I got the chance to stay in Block G. Malangnya tak sempat nak visit block G semalam... tenguk dari jauh aje... huhu! Anyway, for old time sake... I am putting block G pic and the dorm that I stayed in year 1986. These pics were taken by Has early last year when her daughter registered as first former in TKC :)

Dorm Ixora - my dorm back in 1986!! :)

I think, of all the dorms I've ever stayed (AR3 excluded cause it's a room not a dorm!), Ixora was my favorite dorm! You know why? There was NO prefect room in Block G!! :D And I had a BLAST when I was staying there!! LOL!

Anyway, I was told that nowadays all the first formers are staying in Block G. Ahhh... so the tradition for the first formers staying in Matahari (Yellow house), Bougainvillea (Green house), Cannon (Blue house) and Orchid (Red house) dorms are no longer valid.... huhu! Too bad :P

Setelah penat meronda2 TKC ground and berpeluk-pelukan with sisters that I have not met for yearss.... it was time for lunch!! So let's go to the dining hall! :) This would probably be the last time we would be eating in the dining hall!! Ahhhhh... teringat pulak zaman2 form 1 where we were supposed to serve the seniors. Pagi2 lagi dah memekak kat dining hall - "who got extra cawan???? who got extra roti???" - masih terngiang2 lagi pengalaman tu bila masuk dining hall ni tau! LOL! Those were the days.... ;)

Parts of batch 8387 who came with their family - we had to book 3 tables okay!! Tak cukup satu table!! hehee... :D

Unlike last year, this year I opt for the OGA menu and not the nasi-kawah-menu :D

Enjoying our food. Izzaty was a bit frustrated cause she wanted to try the nasi kawah menu... Next time okay?! This year, kita enjoy the delicious OGA menu ek? :)

OMG!!! Out of my 5 years in TKC... for 4 years I had to cope with you, Juita!! LOL! You still ROCK by the way! :) Love you sista *muah!*
