Aloha Hawaii!

Ever since I graduated and came back from the States, I always told myself that I would come back to visit Kansas City, my old 'kampung' and explore those states that I haven't visited like California and Hawaii - these 2 states are definitely in my bucket list list okay! But to go to the States, I need to take at least 1 month leaves!! Ye laa... to travel from one place to another is not near...  especially when we do road trip.... how I miss those road trips we made during my student life!!! So my ultimate goal was to go to the States when I retire... the plan is to visit my friend, Ain and her family first in Chicago then to go road tripping from there... that is kalau panjang umur la kan.. aamiin!!

Anyway, in 2017, Air Asia introduced new destination to Hawaii.... special price was offered during launching - limited seats of course. Apa lagi... mana boleh tak book kan... so darn interesting offer!! How to reject la like that... haha! Maka bermula lah plan to Hawaii... everything went smoothly, from flight booking, itinerary planning, US Visa application (alhamdulillah, it was smoother than I expected), AirBnb rental booking, ect. The flight was from KLIA2 -> Nagoya, Japan > Honolulu. I made sure I was tired enough before the long flight... so that I could sleep tight during the uncomfortable flight (Air Asia flight is never comfortable for long journeys unless we take the business class of course!). No entertainment some more... nama pun budget flight kan... But yes, we survived the long journey!! haha.

View from our flight when we first approaching Hawaii.
Yours truly was super excited!!! :D

Welcome to Hawaii :) First, survey catalogs on Hawaii :)

Got a taxi and straight to our Air BnB rented apartment in Honalulu.
Love this place and especially love the strategic location which is not far from Waikiki Beach.

After settling down and performed our prayer, we went out...
wahh... ramai minath2 and mat2 salleh jalan2 pakai bikini and towels je you all...
It's like normal here.. okay... jaga mata.. jaga mata... hahahaha!

Yours truly at  Waikiki Beach.

Aloha!! Proudly wearing my bikini.. eh silap...  Kurshiah's green shirt at the famous Waikiki Beach haha!

Mr and Mrs in Hawaii <3

On our way back to our rented apartment, singgah groceries beli food or rather 'jajan'.
I searched particularly for these orange juice... cause this was our favourite juice back in those student years.
Lol!

The next day, we went to the famous Pearl Harbor. Your trip in Hawaii would not be complete if you do not visit this historical place okay.
Learned a lot about history of World War II here in Pearl Harbor.
Okay I have to confess...  I slept a bit during the movie presentation... still jet lag maa... haha!

May all those brave people who died here rest in piece.

By noon, we left this place and hopped on a public buses to explore the town and later to Waikele Premium Outlets. It was Black Friday you all!!! Giler babi murah barang2 sini. OMG... rasa nak beli semuaaa!!! Ini mmg tak masuk dalam plan okay! I swear, shopping was not in my to-do list in Hawaii hahaha!

But look what happened...

Gigih joining the queue at Kate Spade's outlet :D
One of the handbags (plural okay haha!) I bought.
Bought one for Izzaty as well.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the handbags I bought.
Murah giler... berbaloi sangat beli! :D

One for memory - memborong di Kate Spade haha!

I don't think I am considered as a shopaholic (in denial?? haha). but in Waikele Premium Outlets, the shopaholic in me suddenly appeared! Lol!

Kepenatan lepas shopping sakan... tunggu bas balik..

Singgah pulak sini... HRC Honolulu..
You see, I took a few pics in the HRC, but most of the pics saved sudah hilang... so sad :(
So 2 days in Oahu Island. The next day we are flying to Kaua'i Island.

Cooling ourselves @ Taman Eko Rimba Kanching

This PKP time, when I can work from home, I would usually try to do some walking around our Teluki Residence area for about at least 5km. I usually walked alone unless my kids, Izzaty or Izzat were rajin enough to wake up early and accompany me. Mr Hubby you asked? Hmm... tak nak dia join makcik ni walk2... hahaha!

But yesterday, since it was Sunday (and the whether has been extremely hot lately) , I managed to pujuk Mr Hubby to go to Taman Eko Rimba Kanching ... for a walk/hike and later mandi manda...

Taman Eko Rimba Kanching is located somewhere at the Templer Park, Rawang which is not very far from our place. This place is famous for its 7 levels of waterfalls area. We had been here before with the #HussinClan on X'mas day in 2019. The whole family just mandi manda at the Lata Terentang area which was the 2nd level of this place. This time around, we decided to hike further up to explore more of this place.

View at level 1, also known as Lata Bemban

Further up...
Yours truly semput naik tangga yang sangat steep especially from level 3 to level 4. It was a long flight of stairs and quite steep. That explained why most visitors would just stop at level 3. I should have posed kat tangga steep tu kan... semput punya pasal, lupa segala!

We decided to stop at level 5 - Lata Tembusu as Ms Izzaty said 'tak kuasa lah nak panjat sampai atas'... haha!
Another reason - view here in level 5 is quite nice ;)

Enjoying the view <3
So serene...

I was drinking this... when suddenly, a few 'uninvited' guests joined us..
Eee... punya la banyak monyet kat sini...
Okay, baru je nak bukak bekalan nasi lemak sebenarnya...
but with these monkeys around, tak jadi lah.... stress nanti, harus tak jadi nak makan!
So Ms Izzaty said 'jom lah turun balik... cari tempat yg tak de monyet.'
I said 'they are everywhere you know... can't escape from them here'.
But from previous experience, downstairs tak lah byk sangat monkeys... so yeah, jom turun...
and we ended up at Level 3 - kebetulan ada one pondok available.. so we ate nasi lemak there, alhamdulillah, no monkeys around to disturb us :D

Level 3 - Lata Kapur.
We did not stop mandi manda here... so many anak muda belia yang bising di sini...

So down we went to Level 2 - same sport where we picnic with #HussinClan last time. Penuh juga manusia di sini... tapi byk family lah... so tak lah bising macam kat level 3 tadi..
But paling best, we got to mandi this waterfall area all by ourselves for quite a while before orang lain join (by that time, kami pun nak balik dah... alhamduilillah...)
Alhamduilllah... sejuk nyaman di sini. We had fun!
Boleh repeat lagi trip ni. Next round, we should hike up to 7th level may be? haha... kemain cita2 kan :D
