Hybrid Fitness Raya Do

Today, the Maybankers' metcon, expose and yoga team join ventured to do our Raya Do at 45th Floor Menara Maybank gym ;)

Exposers started the event with joget raya :D Joget pakai baju raya babe... Berpeluh mak!! :D

Then, it's makan time! It was potluck. I ordered yummy brownies from my friend, Yayang. But dalam kelam kabut berhari raya and I guess I was a bit hungry (ate oat only for breakfast okay!)... I forgot to take pictures of the food :D

With Rina, my one and only colleague from Maybank Islamic who was brave enough to join the expose class ;) Ever since the first day she joined me attending the expose class, she impressed me by improving a lot in weight loose and stamina. Good job girl! Keep it up! ;)

It was a fun event. There were lotssss of yummilicious food and I had to control myself not to eat a lot as I have an eight hour flight to catch tonight. I don't plan to spend the night on the flight toilet due to upset tummy hehe ;)

Yes, am flying to Sapporo tonight for a short vacation... Woohooo!!! ;))

Belated farewell lunch with TQC

It's Syawal and I know some of you guys are busy doing 'puasa 6' and some even has completed it.

Yours truly planned to fast this whole 5 days of working days and later break for weekend (hey. It's still raya laa... Nak gak beraya on weekends haha) and continue on next Monday. Then I got msg from my ex boss, Zura inviting me for farewell lunch on Wednesday. I asked 'farewell siapa?' And she said 'Aimi, akak and Rizal'. Ehhhh... I oso got meh? Dah setahun kot I left TQC?! Hahaha! But she said 'tak per laaa... Kitorang tak sempat lsgi buat farewell lunch utk akak and rizal dulu. Konon tunggu Aimi abis unpaid leaves from Istanbul. Dia dah balik lama and nak resign pun hahaha!'. Lol! So okay laaa... Akak x jadi puasa Rabu -_-

The last Friday of Ramadhan

Today was the last day of Ramadhan and one of the busiest for me. 

Went to the gym for body assessment and this is the result -_-

Lost a bit weight which is understandable as it is fasting month. Body fat decrease (yeay!) but unfortunately body muscle also decrease... Which is expected as I skipped gym classes this Ramadhan :D But hey, the BEST news is I have finally achieved the correct age for my metabolic age Lol!! Thanks god!! A very happy news indeed!! Suker giler!! A big achievement for me okay!! Lol!

Today, it was also the last day of our interns working here in Maybank...

 

The happiest news of the day is of course my babies are coming home for the raya hols today.

Rezeki 25 Ramadhan

There are a few interns in the IT Core Banking department now and I am quite close with some of them. They actually remind me of myself decades ago... Fresh and innocent face eager to learn all about corporate world... Huhu. I did my practical traning with IBM Malaysia. The IBM office was in Taman Tun then. How excited I was to be chosen to do my practical there! Terasa glam sangat.. Haha! Those young and carefree days... How time flies... *sigh!*

Anyway, these interns in IT Core Banking.. they are about the age of my nephews... So it feel funny when they call me 'kak' :D Yes, I feel OLD but it would be 'weirder' if they addressed me as 'aunty'... Or worst 'makcik'  Lol!!! :,D 

This week is their last week in Core Banking and 2 of them gave me these today :

Pre Ramadhan Makan2 ;)

As usual, as Ramadhan is just around the corner, the gang of ex-Mayban Finance girls would plan a ‘makan-makan’ session. This year, it’s at Restoran Rebung again. Restoran Rebung has now moved to a new location. No longer at Lorong Maarof, it is now located at Bukit Aman near Tasik Perdana. This is our first experience eating in the new Restoran Rebung :)

I was attending the weekly RBS alignment meeting that morning. And approaching 12 noon, the meeting became more happening than ever! I was freaking out as I soooo do not want to miss this makan2. Then thanks god Diva called me... yours truly answered the call while making a serious face (taking urgent call la konon... lol!)... and with a serious face said 'I gotto go... something urgent came out'.

Lol... so I got to go to the makan2.... kih kih! :'D

Farewell lunch for Rad

One of my buddies when I was with Mayban Finance, Radhiyah submitted  her resignation recently. Today, a bunch of us who used to work under Mayban Finance roof, gathered for lunch to celebrate Rad's final weeks with Maybank Group.

I've been with these bunch since 1994 and they are all like sisters to me. Love you girls loads!!! ❤️

One by one my good friends left Maybank Group and that made me thinking how long will I continue working before I decided to stop and rest at home -.- 

The thing is, my hubby and mom both do not support the idea of me not working when I voiced out my intention a few years back. Agaknya depa takut I meroyan nak kerja balik after a few days keboringan not doing anything at home... Lol! That's probably true -.-

To Rad, all the best sis! Forget us not as we definitely wont't forget you ❤️

Zura is 40!! ;)

One of my favourite colleagues, Zura is 40 tomorrow. Since tomorrow is a non-working day, we decided to surprise her today by organizing a mini surprise 'advance' birthday party. 

A bunch of us gathered at Menara Maybank's Starbuck after lunch today. Our Expose Class coach, Ina called Zura (who was in a meeting with her boss, Mr Atul!) saying that she had something urgent to tell and need to meet her asap. And SURPRISE!!!!

Reunion at a wedding ;D

A few months back, my ex boss (or rather my first ever boss when I first joined Mayban Finance right after I graduated), En Hussin messaged me to invite me to his son's wedding. I was touched because after all these years (En Hussin is now retired), he still remember me! So sweet of him! But I was reluctant to go as most of my close friends were not invited and those who were invited were not able to go -.- But a week before the event, again En Hussin messaged me  reminding me to come 'you jangan tak datang tau'. How could I not come right? Huhu...

Mr Hubby was too busy to join me on that day.. And since I had to send Izzaty back to kolej that evening, might as well I bring her along to accompany me to the wedding haha... Dipaksa dera teman mama! :D

Thanks to Mr Waze, we got to IDCC hall without any problem - otherwise serious malas pergi as I am so not familiar with that area -.-

Upon reaching the hall, to my delight, from far I could see some familiar faces.... Thanks god! I was soooo afraid I'd die of boredom knowing no one during the event, lol!

1 year of X-posing :D

After a 2 weeks break from gym... I went to Xposed class today and was told that there would be a body assessment. I was like 'NOOOOOOO!!!!'. Giler nervous nak kena assess!! :D

But what dya know?!

It's been a year you all! And I only lost 5kgs -.-

Am happy with the result nevertheless....

But have to work harder to improve my metabolic age!!! -.-

Vijay's treat!

Vijay had promised to belanja us after we came back from Hong Kong assignment the other day. But since everyone was super busy towards end of the year, it was never materialized. 

But yesterday, we managed to get together and went out for lunch at Sushi Tei, Pavilion! :D

Vijay drove us to Pavilion. Naik LEXUS you all!! Woohoo.... hebatnya kereta Vijay!! My first experience in a Lexus kot! #sungguhlajakun! :D

Of course there were more and more food... but I was too busy enjoying the food, lupa nak amek gambar :D

Well Vijay, thank you soooo much for the wonderful lunch and ride!! Enjoyed it very much! ;)

And thank you also for the opportunity to be involved in the Hong Kong project. It was a good exposure and experience indeed! ;)

A Hijrah

A few months ago, I got an email from our HR Talent Management division to invite me for an interview for a technical job with Maybank Investment. I did not apply for the job, but somehow… was selected for  the position. I went for the interview and it was a success I guess cause I was called again to meet the big boss for the 2nd interview. But somehow, I wasn't very sure if I would be happy with Maybank Investment. One thing for sure, my annual leaves will be deducted to 21 instead of 30… hmm… that's a lot kan? Sangat tidak suka :P

Anyway, on the day that I was supposed to go for the 2nd interview,  I was informed that the big boss was not available… so the interview was postponed. But guess what… on the same day, I was offered by the Maybank Islamic CIO, En Zainal Azlan a position in Maybank Islamic IT which I thought is so cool! Because I've always wanted to run away from the conventional banking (to avoid riba' and all)… so I accepted the offer from Maybank Islamic and called Maybank HR to tell them that I've changed my mind to work with Maybank Investment as I got an offer that I could not resist! It's an Islamic Bank guys… how could I not reject!! I did perform solat tahajud for the past few nights before making decision on my career path and I believe this is the path that was set for me… insyaAllah. 

So on Monday, 7th Sept 2015, my new career path began with Maybank Islamic. I am now based in Dataran Maybank again but most of the time, I'll be in Menara Maybank to work with the Maybank IT for Maybank Islamic projects. 

Some would say it's a company transfer… but I call it a 'hijrah' :) A hijrah to be a better career woman. A hijrah to be a better Muslimah… insyaAllah ;) 

Maybank Global CR Day 2015

This year, Maybank Global CR Day for Maybank Shared Services IDW department was  held at his place...

It is not easy to go to this place... I tell you! It's located behind the Pasar Borong Selayang. The event is on Saturday morning... so you guys can imagine the kiosk that we have to go through to reach this place... huhu.

This lady is only 48! Goodness... just a few years older than me. Made me wonder what will be happening to me when I am that age... 

This kakak is from Temerloh. Both her arms are broken... so I helped to feed her lunch... kesian kakak ni... agak2 sapa lah hantar dia sini... huhu

This abang is sooo cool!! ;)) Originally from Kuala Pilah. Met with a fatal accident when he was 21 and not able to walk since the incident. He is the lead singer here... suka berkaraoke katanya. I had a loooong chat with him when he found out I am from Kolo Pilah :)
