A Uniquely Singapore adventure :)

We flied to Singapore using Tiger Airways. This is our first experience using Tiger Airways.... okay laaa... But I think Air Asia is much better (yeah I know... I am bias :P)

 Our first experience with Tiger Airways :)

We reached Singapore's Budget Terminal around 1.30am. Hopped on a free shuttle to Terminal 2 and later got into an MRT to our hotel. After the fun we had at A'Famosa... everybody was feeling really, really tired. By the time we reached our hotel.... the four of us tak bagi chance terus landing atas katil - serious PENAT! huhu! Anyway, our hotel in Singapore is Supreme Hotel which is located behind Concord Hotel in Orchard Road - the cheapest deal we could get at Orchard Road! Why Orchard Road? Cause it's X'mas time! This is a time to be jolly at Orchard Road! Tralala... lalalala... :)

2nd day - off to Universal Studio.... woot! woot! :) Asyik tenguk gambar Sis Ika and Bro Jamil jer kat sana.... kali ni... akaq and family pulak pegi! :) Well, this is the 2nd Universal Studio I visited after the one in Orlando, Florida back in .... err... what? 1994?? That long huh?! So, I was really looking forward to have a fab time in USS! :)

From Orchard Road we took the MRT until Harbour Front... then hopped on a free shuttle bus to Resorts World of Sentosa Island, Singapore :) Oh yes... traveling in Singapore is much, much easier than traveling in Malaysia :) Their public transports are superb! Very, very convenient! :)

Our first destination is to the Sci Fi City - queuing for the latest ride in USS - TRANSFORMERS :)) We reached there around 9:30am... masih awal... tapi USS dah penuh you all!! And we had to wait around 20 - 30 mins (not sure the exact time) for Transformers The Ride...urgh!

 

The latest and currently most popular ride in USS - Transformers - The Ride 

Queuing inside the Transformers ride building. Izzat dah start mengomel... huhu! Tapi bila dah dapat naik the ride.... OMG! I quoted Izzat's words - "BEST GILER!!!" :)) And Izzaty said "THE BEST RIDE IN USS!" :))

Next famous ride in SCI FI is definitely the Battlestar Galactica - the world's tallest pair of dueling roller-coaster!! The battle is between the CYLON and HUMAN. We first queued at the blue lane (CYLON)... but hubby and yours truly kena tahan kat entrance... mamat tu suruh kami simpan our bags in the lockers provided. Hubby asked me and the kids to go first while he took care of our things. So Izzaty, Izzat and myself sambung queue for the CYLON ride. Izzaty cakap dia takutttt.... (tapi nak jugak naik!).. so I asked Izzat "tak takut ke??" He smiled and admitted "takut jugak!" Bila pegang dada Izzat... dub dab dub dab kedengaran sangat jelas... haha! Berdebar ya! :) But still they insisted nak cuba gak naik. We queued about 30 minutes jugak kot (or probably more... can't exactly recall the exact time!). Perggghhh.... what a trilling rides! Tergantung2 kaki kami di udara... huhu! I can't believe I did it with the kids!! At my age??? huhu! :)) Such a trilling experience! :) 

 

Amacam?? Ada berani?? Alaaa... sap sap soi ajer... :) We did try the HUMAN ride as well. This one very the laju... but at least kaki tak tergantung sangat la... :) Both rides are quite trilling. So do try both okay?! :)

Next to SCI FI is Ancient Egypt. Must try the REVENGE OF THE MUMMY ride!

I felt a bit dizzy after the REVENGE OF THE MUMMY ride... so we decided to get something to eat. Finding halal food here in USS is quite easy. Just scan through the USS map... ada cop 'halal' for those restaurant serving halal food. It's easy... cuma surau jer dia tak mark in the map. Those who wants to perform their prayer... the prayer room is near the entrance... at Hollywood area (not mentioned in the map!)

 So what did I eat in USS? Nasi briyani okay! :) Bought it at Oasis Spice Cafe in Ancient Egypt area. It's a BIG portion okay! Boleh share satu pinggan dua orang. The hotdog and wedges on the table is for Izzat... anak mat salleh sorang nih :P

Selepas makan... we just ronda2 aje. Tak tahan tenguk queues yang panjang (the queue waiting time is displayed at a few signboard... so that it's easier for us to manage our time here). Saw the transformer ride queue info... kena tunggu about 2 hours you all! pergh! So you can imagine lah how the crowd was...)

@ New York

From New York, we can see the Far Far Away Castle :) Here in New York, we tried the LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! - Hosted by Steven Spielberg. Interesting la jugak... Steven Speilberg demonstrate how an empty stage became alive in preparing a film with sounds effect, ect

 @ Madagascar

The MADAGASCAR CRATE ADVENTURE ride is sponsored by Maybank hokeh! :) *staff Maybank sorang ni tumpang bangga la jugak.. ahak!* The queue for this ride was so long. Dah petang (around 7pm) baru kami berpeluang naik. I think the ride is quite nice - very, very relaxing and suitable for small kids. But you know la my kids.... nak yang adventurous jer :P Izzat said 'this ride is so lame' - Huh! :P

@ Far Far Away Land

 

The Far Far Away Castle. We watched the 'SHREK 4D ADVENTURE'  here. Quite nice! I like! And no complain from the kids :) We also watched the DONKEY LIVE SHOW... tak de la best sangat... but we enjoyed it sebab Izzaty was called and being interviewed by the Donkey. When Donkey asked what her name is... the Donkey tukar nama 'Izzaty' jadi 'Exactly' - LOL! And he even asked 'So your name is Exactly. Do you have a brother by the name of 'Not Really'? Hahaha!! Lawak betul lah Donkey nih! Now both Izzaty and Izzat got new name :D

  @ Lost World

 

Sedikit kecewa di sini due to JURASSIC PARK RAPID ADVENTURE ride was closed due to undergoing enhancement works :( We even missed the WATER WORLD show :( Queue yang panjang and too much crowd (there were about 23million people in USS on that day... imagine that?!)

 It rained for a while in the eve. Hubby and Izzaty went for the CYLON ride again. Whilst Izzat and myself merehatkan diri sambil menjaga barang :) Met an old friend from my ITM years here - Pit and her family :)

 Of all the places.... jumpa kat USS kita ya Pit :) Nice meeting you again dear :)

 @ Hollywood

 

Nothing much here in Hollywood except a theater show. We didn't watch it though.... lepak2 jer kat area ni :) It's near the entrance/exit. Surau pun kat area ni. 

We  left USS around 8:30pm. (USS closed at 9pm) to avoid the huge crowd during closing at 9pm.

Hopped on the free shuttle and later MRT. Malam tu kami dinner di Pizza Hut @ Singapore Plaza near our hotel. FYI, Mc D, KFC and Pizza Hut di Singapore halal ya :)

DAY 3 : Checkout from hotel before jenjalan area Raffles Place.

 Err.. Dato' Sri Wahid dear.... nak minta transfer kerja sini boleh?? :P

Wondering how much it would cost to stay here per night. Have to ask my dear friend, Michelle Tan... saw her pic spending time with her family here in her FB... some people have all the luck, eh? :)

Our flight to KL was at 5.30pm. Reached home sweet around 9pm. So tired.... but still need to work the next day... huhu!

To Singapore!!

It's school holiday and I promised the kids that if they do well in their exam, we would be going somewhere during this school holiday! Izzaty has not get her overall result yet... but so far, she's doing quite well... getting 100% in English, BM, Maths and Pendidikan Agama. Only Science result is not out yet... so the suspense is not over. Meanwhile, Izzat told me that he got 3rd place in class... I was like what??? Macam tak percaya!! So I called his principle and Teacher Amy confirmed it.... Alhamdulillah.... thank you Allah! That was really unexpected! I was so proud of him and can't stop thanking Allah cause without His help and blessing... it would not have happened!

So, to fulfill my promise, the whole family went to Singapore last weekend (accompanied by Zamri, Anis and Danish). We slept over at Anis' sister's place in Woodland (Thank you Kak Ani for having us!! You and your family have been so nice to us!) We went to the famous Singapore Zoo (as expected, we had such an amazing experience in the zoo!)... and later Night Safari in the evening. There were soooo many people at the zoo and night safari. Infact, Night Safari show was so full that we had to miss the first 2 shows... and ended up queuing for the 11pm show! But it was really worth it! We sure had a great time!

On 2nd day in Spore, we took the bus and MRT with Abg Muz and Kak Ani to the shopping mall (yeap, it's sale time in Singapore!!), walked around at Orchard road, Arab street (Kak Ani bought me kain for baju kurung and I bought 2 more for mak and MIL), took some pictures at the convention center and the famous Merlion statue at the Singapore River. Went back to KL after our Maghrib prayer... bringing back lots of sweet memories from Singapore :)
