Otaru - Hokkaido Day5 pt4

Otaru is a small harbour city in Hokkaido with beauuutiful preserved canals that reminds me of
Venice 😍

This beautiful canal is the main landmark of Otaru.
So this place deserve a selfie 😄

Otaru Information Centre near the canal where we get the Otaru map.

Excited to explore Otaru sis?

First thing first. We were all hungry... So time to find some halal food for lunch...
We tried to follow the recommended walkway suggested in the map provided by the Otaru Tourist Centre

There are lots of tiny glasses hanging here in Otaru like thesw ones. Like Venice, Otaru is also famous in glass making.

The we continued exploring Otaru while searching for halal food that we can eat...

This place is called Sakaimashi Shopping Street where tourists shop for food and beverages...

Shopping for dry squids just like those we bought in Pangkor 😄... But this one is made in Japan 🇯🇵

After walking and walking...  and our stomachs had already making funny noises haha... we later decided to stop at a bakery shop that sell delicious yummy cakes! Well, the cakes looked delicious and there were lotsa people in the shop... So we assumed their cakes must be yummy! The shop is called La TAO.
Apparently, this confectionery shop is sooo famous in Hokkaido 😘
#whateverthatmeans 😄

Just look at those cakes sold in LeTAO

We chose to buy these...
Manggo cheesecake - I ❤️ manggo 😍

This is LeTAO signature - Double fromage cheesecake - super dupper yummy soft creamy cake that melt in youe mouth!! 😋😋
No wonder my friend, Zurrina said  'don't forget to eat the Hokkaido cheesecake!'

We also ordered chocolate crepes...

These yummy sweet food were all we eat for lunch 😬
Okay laaa... Buat alas perut 😬

Now, let's continue our journey exploring Otaru...

Ice-creams are so famous in Hokkaido!

The others decided to stop by to this shop for ice-cream... but yours truly had had enough sugar for the day 😬

There are all kind of ice-creams here...
Care for squid ice-cream anyone? 😅

They enjoyed the ice-creams eh?

Back to Sapporo where we checked-in into Apo Hotel for tonight...
Cozy room

We got ourselves freshen up, solat and get ready foe our next outing exploring the Sapporo town.

Nobaribetsu hotspring -Hokkaido Day5 pt3

Our next destination was Noboribetsu.
Noboribetsu is Hokkaido's most famous hotspring town.

First we visited the Jigokudani 'Hell Valley'.

Studying the map of Jigokudani Hell Valley.
There are 2 lookup points here and very near to each other.... both were already crowded with tourists when we reached there.

The valley was amazingly spectacular! Mixture of colours that made me think how unique this world that Allah created... Subhanallah...
It was named the 'hell valley' because one could see hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activities going on in the bubbly ponds of bluish water - kononnya 'just like in hell' 😂😜 😈
If only they know that hell in akhirat is even worst than that...
'And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah)
is the torment of Hell, the worst destination indeed' Al Mulk:6.

Climbing up thr stairs to one of the lookup points.

Yours truly taking a selfie with 'Hell Valley' as backgroud 😄

From the Jigokudani Hell Valley there is a walking trail through the wooded hills. Tourist can follow the trails for about 20-30mins to see another beautiful natures, the Oyunuma Pond and Okunoyu Pond.

We did not walk.. We drove instead Lol 😅.

The Oyunuma Pond

Oyunuma is a sulfurous pond with a surface temperature of 50C.

Beside Oyunuma there is another pond called Okunoyu. The water in this pond is even hotter as we can see steams rising from the pond surfaces. We can also smell the sulfurous smell... Eeuuuu! 😷

Nearby, flowing out of Oyunuma pond is a river called Oyunumagawa. Many people come here to enjoy foot bath along the river. We did not visit this place though as we were rushing to our next destination - Otaro. Quite a pack itinerary today 😅

Made a 🚽 stop at RNR otw to Otaro...

Lake Toya - Hokkaido Day 5 pt2

Today, our first stop was Lake Toya. Lake toya is about 60km from Shiraoi. Interesting fact to know - Lake Toya is one of few lakes that never turn to ice in winter... Allahuakbar... Can u imagine that? Hokkaido is super cold okay in winter but this lake never turn to ice!

There is nothing much to see here other than beautiful landscape of the lake... Sonwe did not stay long. Just snapped some hindustani-like pose and continue our journey to our next destination 😄

Japanese Seafood Breakfast - Hokkaido Day5 pt1

Saadan had to go back to KL on the 5th day as his son, Damian had a fencing competition or something in Bangkok.. while Na stayed with us and would fly to Bangkok later. So the guys had to send Saadan to the airport early in the morning and the ladies can continue our beauty sleep in our rooms 😌

Anyway, I decided to check out the onsen again this morning.
Awesome view of the Pacific Ocean while onsen-ing alone this morning 😍😘

The guys came back slightly before 7am. Just in time for breakfast which was served at 7am.
Breakfast - Japanese style! Seafood lagi! 😅

My breakfast portion this morning... How do you finish ALL these?? Kalau nasi lemak mungkin la boleh habis hahahhaha 😂

Just the 4 of us this morning as Saadan was already at the airport waiting for his flight back to KL.

Madame Naomi gave the ladies some souvenies... So sweet of her. She also loves my batik blouse 😍
Presents from Madame Naomi 😍

Before checking out, we filled up this form for Minshuku 500 Mile Lodge...
Pls excuse my hiragana writing and spelling 😂
