Relocated at 5th floor, Menara Maybank

Okay people... I am now officially relocated to 5th floor Menara Maybank, Jalan Tun Perak, Kuala Lumpur. It's not something that I looked forward... but I guess life must go on. So yeap... after about 9 years in Dataran Maybank, Bangsar... we are now relocated at Menara Maybank again... huhu!

This is my new workstation at 5th floor....
So dull eh? Am yet to find time to personalize this workstation.. hehe. I got 3 mini cabinets under my workstation... all brought from Bangsar... keh keh! :) Nasib baik bawak tau... if not dapat cabinet yang 'topless'... tak de atap.... huhu!

On my first day reporting at Menara... I went to work by bus. Had to wake up early to catch the 6.30am bus... (if I missed this bus... I can take the 6.45am bus... but if I take the 7am bus... not sure I'd arrive at the office on time.. huhu!). Anyway, I took the 6.30am bus and clocked in at my new office at around 7.35pm... cool! :) Very the berkobar!! keh keh!! :) Went back by the 6.30pm bus and reached home around 7.35am... okay lah... can sleep in the bus!!! I like!!! :) Tak yah stress bawak keter kat tengah2 bandaraya yang sibuk tu!! :P

But like it or not.... I had to admit... I miss my old office in Dataran.... among the 5 things that I missed most :

1. The toilet (in dataran.. I only share toilets with my fellow 4th floor colleagues. Tak ramai... kalau ladies toilet tu... kawan2 I aje... so very clean lah kan.... NOW?? Hmm... 5th floor dataran Maybank ada west, east, north and south wing.... all fully occupied like sardins... it's not dirty (thanks god!).... but well, I guess I am so used to share toilets with my friends ajer... *so spoilt lah me!!*

2. The surau (again in dataran... we have a special room in 4th floor shared among us used as prayer room... so very convenient!! Surau depan mata lah gitu! NOW??? kena naik lif lor... to 11th floor.... hmm... I should try to make it for solat berjemaah at the surau... insyaAllah.. dapat gak pahala kan? :) )

3. The freedom of using internet.... a.k.a FACEBOOK!!! :P Huhu.... in Menara they blocked FB!!! :P Not sure if I'd be able to blog... nanti esok cuba :)

4. Mid Valley... haha! Our 2nd office in Bangsar! Lunch hour je ke MV!! Love the food... lots of outlets to (window) shop, de-stress ourselves, ect! :) NOW?? Mydin kat depan tu pun jadi lah kan.... huhu!

5. Petronas' Rojak and Cendol... for the past few weeks before relocating to Menara... we had rojak and cendol at the Petronas Bangsar stall..... fuyoo... I miss that!!! :(

Oh well... life goes on. Sure Menara Maybank pun ada 'istimewa' nya jugak kan? ;)

The ASHR '09 awards

I was in Menara yesterday to sort our things out before officially resume my duty there next Monday. So much things to sort out! Only managed to get out from there about 6.20pm. MasyaAllah teruk nya jam masa nak keluar dari KL.. *sigh!*. I cannot imagine how my life would be beginning next week.... :( Anyway, reached home at around 8:15pm (nearly 2 hours driving!! phew!!!)... kepenatan maxxx!! Alhamdulillah, hubby had sent the kids to Kumon class... thanks darling! Love you! ;)
The kids came back from Kumon class excitedly calling me... ohhh.... dapat hadiah rupanya! :) It's the gold award that they were supposed to receive during the ASHR ceremony that was cancelled last November. How nice!! This is a good motivation for them to study harder!

Hasrat seorang ibu...

I got a beautiful message from some of my FB friends last week...

"Sometimes you just need to hear this... YOU ARE A GREAT MOM!!! You are doing a fantastic job and you are much loved!!!"

Such a beautiful word that really made my day! :) I have to admit... being a working mom is really hard!! Especially when my office is miles away from home. It is a struggle to maintain my sanity when you're dead tired after coming back from work... but you still have to teach your kids at night... check their homeworks, ect. Sometimes I just let it be.. I mean... hey, they are big enough to handle their own school and kumon works, right? But last night.. huhu.. I found out that Izzat is not doing his kumon homework properly. See... that's what happened if I don't check their work!! :P Adoii..... it is stressful you know.... *sigh!*

At the moment, I am doing okay as there is no big boss in Dataran Maybank... and I am able to go home early without anybody making noise... but in a few weeks time... when I am working at Menara Maybank... I doubt if I can go home early every day... :( And I wonder how I could manage the kids... :(

Last Friday, when I was busy clearing things at my office to be moved to Menara, an old friend, Wewe called.... apparently she had quit her job and now promoting Public Mutual products from home... more flexible time to be with her kids... how nice!! I really envy these people who had the guts to quit their coperate title and be either a full time housewives... or do something totally new just to have more time with their kids! I do want to join them... but not sure if I can survive (mentally and physically.. huhu!) if I stay at home full time :( I've been working for good 16 years.... it feel weird if I don't do anything... I feel restless!! :( Tapi sampai bila nak hidup makan gaji kan?? :( I do dream to be my own boss... have more flexible time with the kids and at the same time earning enough income to support my family... huhu.... dah lama pikir... tapi sampai sekarang masih tak buat any changes to achieve that dream.... :(

Please Allah... give me strength and hidayah to make a good decision... moga dapat ku didik anak2ku menjadi hamba mu yang soleh dan solehah serta cemerlang dunia dan akhirat...

A weird conversation

Izzat : Mama, dosa tak kalau orang operate ubah dari perempuan jadi lelaki?

Mama : Mesti lah dosa.

Izzat : Kenapa dosa?

Mama : Iya lah... itu dah macam mengubah anugerah Allah pada kita.... Dosa lah.

*senyap*

Mama : Kenapa Izzat tanya?? *panic jap* Izzat nak jadi perempuan ke??? *Nauzubillah!*

Izzat : Ish.. tak lah!!

Mama : Then why Izzat cakap macam tu?? *masih panic!*

Izzat : Emm.. Izzat tak suka lah muka Izzat.... Sebab kawan Izzat cakap muka Izzat macam perempuan.

Mama : Hah???? Sapa kawan Izzat tu??? Meh Mama ganyang sket mulut dia!! *over react la pulak mama sorang nih!* Izzat kan handsome... Mama suka muka Izzat ni... mana boleh tukar!!

Then after dah cool down a bit...

Mama : Lain kali.. kalau kawan Izzat cakap macam tu lagi ngan Izzat... cakap kat dia "alaa.. awak tu jealous sebab awak tak hensem!! :P ".

Hehe.. puas hati mama!!! Maafkan lah mama yang terover react ni ya... lol! :D

Busy, busy...

Life has been so hectic for the past weeks! We, the IT application team from Auto Finance Services were supposed to move to Menara Maybank on the 12th of January. Unfortunately, things are so kelam kabut... office masih belum berkemas... and we were told that our places at 5th floor in Menara were not even evacuated yet! :P Macam tak mau terima we all je kat sana kan? Hmm... like we want to pindah over there... huhu! :P So extend pindah to 18th!

So for the past few days, lots of activities were done... projects yang due SIT lah, UAT lah... ect, ect! Then the office need to be cleared by end of this week (kalau tak extend lagi lah! :P). So many old documents!!! Tak tau dah mana nak letak....

Malam pulak.. I need to stay up late night a little bit to temankan my kids to finish their homework. Kesian... banyak pulak homework dia tahun ni... huhu. With Kumon homework and BM tuition as extra activities... their schedule are really tight!

It's around 10.30pm... the kids just came back from their KUMON class and busy doing the school homework... kerusi and meja ada... tapi nak gak dok atas lantai yang sejuk tu :P

Happy 11th birthday Izzaty! :)

It's Izzaty's 11th birthday today! Happy birthday dearest! My firstborn child!! Dah 11 tahun dah.... where did the little girl go??? Time really flies.... ;)

When she was studying for the final exam last year, she asked me if she can have a birthday party if she got first place in year 4 again. I told her 'tak boleh!!' sebab mama sorang ni so malas to organize a party again. But I told her that I will buy cupcakes for her classmates if she got first again! Alhamdulillah.... dah dapat 1st place tu... kena lah mama tunaikan janji kan? ;)

Birthday girl woke up bright and early! Excited to go to school today.....
so that she could share these cute cupcakes with her classmates :)

Happy birthday darling girl!! Mama loves you so much! Semoga menjadi anak yang solehah... serta cemerlang dunia dan akhirat.

Adjusting to the 2010 schedule...

Aiyooo... sungguh banyak perbelanjaan yang perlu dijelaskan awal tahun ini. Dan wallet tuan blog ini susah menjadi sangat kempis... huhuhu :~( Bukan saja wallet... duit di bank juga!! :P

Bibik juga memerlukan 'extra' money this month. Bonda bibik dimasukkan ke hospital baru2 ini... jadi perlu di'transfer' sedikit $$$ untuk bantuan kewangan. Sebagai seorang majikan yang perihatin... saya mendahulukan gaji bibik untuk bulan depan.... aiyoo.... bertambah kempis lagi $$$ majikan sorang nih!!! :P But at least minggu depan tak yah bayar dah gaji bibik!! Phew...

Apa lagi ya?? Oh yes... kids were sent for BM tuition beginning this week. It's a bit stressful for Izzat yang tahun ni habis sekolah sessi petang at 6.45pm (dulu 6.30pm... tahun ni lambat pulak!). If he come home by van... sampai rumah around 7.20pm... and Kumon class starts on 7.30pm on Monday and Friday.... and BM tuition starts at 8pm on Tuesday and Thursday... kesian dia kelam kabut! Makan pun tak senang!! aduhai.... stress jugak anak aku sorang tu!! :(

Balik from BM tuition around 9.45pm... baru nak start buat Kumon homework and school homework. By the time they finished their homeworks... dah around 11 something.... tidor lambat lah jawab nya the kids... then next day... kena bangun pagi! And ohhh... pakcik bas sekarang dah pindah rumah ke kawasan perumahan kami.... that means dia datang jemput my kids dulu... that would be at around 6.30am! For the past few days... at 6.30am.. pakcik bas datang... Izzaty masih dalam bilik air!! Arghhh.... stress aku pagi2 dah membebel2 suruh bebudak ni cepat bangun!!! :P But so far... sepanjang bukak sekolah 2010 ni.... supir mama ni jugak lah yang hantar Izzaty to school!! Tak sempat lah dia naik bas pakcik pagi2....

The bad news is... mama is moving a new office by 18th of January 2010. The office is in the middle of Kay Ell... adoiiii!!! That means... MAJOR traffic jam!!! :P I am planning to take the public bus from Bukit Sentosa to Kay Ell. Tapi dah lama tak naik public transport nih... boleh bertahan kah daku??? huhu... :( That also means... I'll not be able to send Izzaty to school lagi (bas bertolak pukul 6.45am in the morning.. and balik around 6.30pm in the eve). How eh?? Hmm... pandai2 lah si ayah menghandle anak2 starting from 18th January jawab nya ya.... huhuhu... Maleh makcik nak pikir! :P

Lastly but not least... one good news! Well... at least ada gak good news to share, eh?!! :) We'll be going to Hong Kong and Macau end of this month!! Yeay!!!! Can't wait!!!! Tu lagi satu sebab kenapa $$$ kami semakin kempis.... huhuhu!!!

8 years ago.... I gave birth to my first son (my 2nd child) at SJMC, Subang Jaya. It was a beautiful day to begin a new year - 2002!! Sape sangka kan..... baby ni nak kuar on a very new year 2002 :) And yeap... we were on the SUN paper!!! :)Wanted to scan the whole page.. but my scanner is smaller :( So at the right bottom corner was myself, Baby Izzat and Hubby.... Malunya tak terkira... coz my face masih lagi kembang2 masa dalam gambar nih!! Ye aaa... baru lepas beranak kan!! Dah le tak pakai tudung!! :P But hey... I told myself that not many people read "THE SUN"... so hopefully no one noticed :) But I was sooo wrong!! An ex school mate - my roomate in AR3 during my last year in TKC, Nik Sazlina (Toh Puan Sri Nik Sazlina today.. mind you!) read the paper... and saw my pic!!! :P And to make things worst... she announced it to our yahoo group... aiyoooo.... embarassing I tell you!!! :P Luckily she announced it a few days late... so hopefully the girls did not manage to grab a copy of this paper!! :P

And today.... that particular boy is 8 years old!! :) Happy birthday darling Izzat!! Anak mama yang paaaaling manja dan kuat merajuk!!! :P I love you my darling... and you'll always be my baby boy.... forever... hehee (maklum lah... paling bongsu... huhu!)

We did not plan to celebrate or organize a party or something... but my mom who just came back from Umrah wanted to have a small gathering... just a small makan2 gathering for our family. So okay... we just invited my sisters and brother (and their family members of course!) for a small gathering... cum celebrating Izzat's 8th and Izzaty's 11th birthday... no big party like last year (my niece, little Aishah was so upset... "why no party? I love party"... Huhu.. sorry darling... mak lang is soooo lazy to organize a party this year... hehe. Anyway, it was too late to order a 'glam' cake from Aleen like last year... so I decided to just order the cakes from a nearby cake house... (owned by a Malay family and Izzat really love their choc cakes!!). Nothing fancy like Aleen's lah... just one small 1kg moist choc cake for Izzat....
and vanilla butter cupcakes for Izzaty....

The kids didn't know about the cakes... I wanted to surprise them! :) Alhamdulillah... they love the cakes!!

Alhamdulillah... other than my eldest sister, who like mom... just came back from Umrah and were so busy doing errands and preparing things for his sons - Johan who's going back to MRSM Merbok on Saturday and Farhan who's going to the PLKN program in Sabah... the others managed to make themselves available for this small gathering. Syukur alhamdulillah...

My favourite girls... all grown up now... Sara Mizuan (will be 12 next Jul), Danisyah (will be 10 next Jun) and Izzaty (will be 11 by next week)

Kak Eina, my hubby's eldest sister came late in the evening with her kids (except Imran who's too busy having fun with his Uncle Eee in Europe now!) and they were the only representatives from my hubby side who came. We did invite his other brothers but unfortunately, they had made other plans during this long holiday.... :(

Nevertheless... it was a beautiful day indeed... what a nice start to begin the new year of 2010! Syukur alhamdulillah...
