Yeap... he just reached D100 in today's class.... alhamdulillah...

Tapi tenguk result English dia "B".... hehehe... tak pe la boy.. at least you did your best *hugs* ;)

Gold by June 2009??

June is coming nearer.... and I think my kids' Kumon instructor, Ms Jaya must be busy planning and monitoring how many of her students would be going to the ASHR 2009 ceremony end of this year :) I also followed my kids progress for the past few months to predict if they can make it to the ASHR ceremony (they are doing it in Putra Jaya Convention Center this year... yeay! new place!!)

Alhamdulillah, Izzaty has successfully secured herself as a Gold Student again this year when she completed the G100 worksheet months ago. She has now reached G200.... way to go girl! :) But remember girl... once you reached the 200 number... that means there's an exam coming..... good luck! :)


As for Izzat... a few more worksheets to reach gold (D100). Infact... he's now D97... so ada harapan kan? InsyaAllah... just do your best darling... :)

Mid term exam aftermath

The mid term exam is over.... phew! It's very, very tiring... I tell you! Anak2 periksa... ibu yg stress!! Apasal dolu2 mak2 kita tak de pun camni kan?? *sigh!*. I took 1/2 day leaves on Monday and Tuesday to help the kids (Izzat especially!) to do last minute revision for the exams (double exam okay! - Their sekolah kebangsaan and KAFA exam clashed!) Kesian kids zaman sekarang... so stressful! I personally think kementerian pendidikan and JAIS should consider.... jangan lah buat exam clash macam ni.... tak patut betul.... kesian budak2... :(

And today... they got some of their results..... jeng.. jeng.. jeng!!

Aduhai.... Izzaty cried for getting her first "B".... 75% in BM Kefahaman. Owww....so sorry girl... but you just have to try harder next time, okay? What's past is past... do better next time.. *hugs*

Izzat pulak... aiyooo.. so many careless mistakes or he should be getting 100% in his Maths papers!! Frust betul tenguk... but I guess... I should be thankful coz it's still an "A".

Hmphh... yet to see the rest of the papers...

Urgh... ibu nya pulak yg berdebar!! Kiasu betul!! :D

Super busy weekend!

My weekend is over *sigh!*! And I am quite frustrated coz I wasn't able to get proper rest last weekend! The newly wed - Haris and Alin came 'bertandang' to our house on Saturday. Thanks god.. hubby was kind enough to go to the wet market (with my mom) to buy all the necessary weekly groceries... coz I was busy doing something else - Izzaty's Kajian Tempatan scrap book!! :P I do not want Izzaty to spend too much time on this scrap book since the mid term exam is just around the corner... so I did the research for her... and later designed the scrap book with little help from the 'supposed author' - Izzaty :)

I also realized that I have been spending most of my time either at the office or with the kids at home - checking their homework or do some school revision. Kesian my darling hubby... he must felt neglected... but I am sure he understands. Anyway, hubby had been wanting to watch the latest Tom Hank's movie "Angels and Demons".... so when he asked if we could go and watch movie on Saturday night... I said.. "Okay! Let's!!" The truth was, I'd rather stay at home... to finish Izzaty's scrap book and most important thing... I NEED MY REST!! But what the heck!! For my darling hubby... why not, kan? It would be nice to get away from the kids for a while... :) Just the 2 of us :) So walau pun kepenatan .. after entertaining our VIP guest - Haris and Alin... and did like 50% of Izzaty's scrap book.. about 4.30pm... off we went to 1-Utama for our 'date' ;)

Turned out, "Angel and Daemon" wasn't so bad! I kinda enjoy the movie :) And darling hubby was sweet enough by booking the " lover's seat" yang kat belakang tu!! Awww.... so romantic :) I had fun.... thanks darling... for the wonderful time :) We reached home around 9.30pm... terus solat and continue the scrap book project.... walaupun dah penat... *sigh!*

Sunday was another super-super busy day! I had planned to attend the OGA Annual General Meeting at Putra Jaya with Germ. So I woke up quite early for Subuh prayer... then again, lepas solat sambung project scrap book! By 8am, I must leave the house to go to Germ's place in Bangi! But terlalu asyik buat scrap book... 8.15am baru keluar rumah! Reached Germ's at around 9.15am. And the OGA's AGM started at 9.30am! I thought start pukul 10am! Kelam kabut breakfast kat rumah Germ tu (Thanks for sponsoring breakfast Germ! My maid prepared nasi lemak before I left the house... but I insisted nak breakfast at your place jugak! hehe!)... then need to fetch another friend, Aima a.k.a Deme pulak somewhere near Germ's place! By the time we reached the OGA building... I think dah around 9.45am. Parking at the back of the building.. so ingat nak masuk ikut pintu belakang... but I realised the meeting dah start!! And the pintu belakang happened to be the 'main stage'.... alamak.... glamour la pulak nanti!! Ishh... tak boleh jadi.... terpaksa gak lah pusing one round... to the main entrance :) After registering ourselves... terus masuk and met Yayang and Has! Thanks Has for reserving the seats for us! *muah!*. Seronok tenguk some usual familiar faces.... you girls rock!! :)

Apparently, the activities ended late in the evening... but most of us semua cabut balik after lunch (sorry kakak2!! Gotto go laaa... !!). I promised to meet Nana at the Alamanda shopping center. Dah berkurun pegang kain yg MIL belikan for her! And I also wanted to claim the kain2 that she bought for me from Dubai!! :) So I dragged Germ and Deme to bring me to Alamanda!! Sorry lah babes... menyusahkan aje!! :( So akhirnya... dapatla kain yg dah lama ku tunggu2 tu :D Performed our Dzhuhur prayer kat Alamanda... and terus ciao balik! (need to send Aima and Germ to their houses first!). By the time I reached Bkt Beruntung, dah pukul 5:15pm. I thought Izzaty would have gone to her taekwando activity by then... tapi bila sampai je depan gate... I saw hubby and Izzaty baru nak keluar! Huh?? It was already 5.15pm!!! Izzaty was terribly late!! So since my car was outside the gate... meh le... mama je lah hantarkan Izzaty! Actually petang tu Izzaty takde taekwando class... but the taekwando team was involved in the "HARI BELIA" celebration at Dataran Sentosa. Everyone was already there... tapi sempatlah Izzaty menyelit kat belakang tu... to join the taekwando demonstration. I stayed for a while to see Izzaty in action. See below pics :



I immediately left right after the taekwando demonstration..... tak tunggu pun Izzaty! :) Pandai2 la dia balik with her 'Sir' :) We can see Sir Nordin's article about this event here.

Back at home, after performing Asar.... continue with the scrap book project again!! :( Adoiii... letih siuttt! Now the scrap book is like 80% completed. Terbengkalai sat sebab tak cukup gambar :( Eh lupa nak citer... the title of the scrap book is "Rumah Tradisional dan Rumah Moden". Malam ni sambung balik lah! Harap2 sempat siap... *sigh!*

2 reunions and a wedding

Throughout the week, I was really excited and counting days to Saturday!! I had lots of plans for 9th May 2009! :) First and foremost, it's my youngest cousin - Harizan's wedding. Hariz akad nikah was done at Kluang on the previous week.. but I could not make it to Kluang... so this time around... I have to make myself (and the rest of the family) available!!! Lagi pun my little girl, Izzaty was chosen to be the flower girl... eh not really lah.. more like 'tukang pegang ekor pengantin'!! LOL :D. Hafsah, one of Hariz's sis-in-laws had especially designed Izzaty's baju for this occasion (mama had to pay, okay?! Tak kan nak suruh Haris sponsor kan? Kesian pengantin baru tuh... hehe!). Also scheduled on 9th May 2009 were 2 important reunions - the OGA day at my secondary school (kira reunion lah ni!) and the first reunion of my batch from SRK Dato Idris, Tg Ipoh.... waahh.. I was really, really looking forward to meet my primary school friends after... what? 27 years!! Oh god.. YES!! I am THAT old!! :D

So, on 9th May, I woke up early so early and left the house (with Izzaty) around 7am to make sure I'll reach Bukit Merbah around 8am. Reached TKC around 8.15am. When I was parking my car, I saw a Honda CRV parking behind me... and hey! It's Wida! My one-year senior with her 2 cute daughters! We used to be dorm-mate in Dahlia dorm when I was in form 2 and she in form 3... Waaaa  long time no see, Wida!! You looked good!! :) Germ arrived a few minutes later. So the 3 of us proudly registered ourselves at the 'SITI ZAWIAH' counter. Apparently, once we  registered our names there... our x-house (that is.. in our case Siti Zawiah @ Yellow house) got 1 point for each names! Yeay!! Hidup Siti Zawiah!! :D

Among my batch yang I sempat jumpa(apart from Germ and myself) were Emy, Ita Mazlan, Finaz and Juita. I saw a few familar faces - Kak Ida Bo, Kak Lala, Kak Han (Germ's C.S) and many more lah!! Excited giler dapat jumpa kawan lama! Juita told me that there was a bad traffic jam kat Bukit Putus.. ada lori askar terbalik! Alamak! Bahaya tu! I promised May that I'd be in Kuala Pilah before 11am!! That meant I had to leave earlier.. nanti lambat takde flower girl pulak nanti! So basically I just spent like an hour in tkc.... sheesh! What to do... family matters are more important, right?! On my way out, at tkc gate... terserempak ngan Has and her family... member baru je sampai! Aduhai... sempat lambai je lah...:( Frust giler tak dapat stay around lama2... tapi tak pe.. tahun datang insyaAllah I'll come again!!! Heard from someone that next year is even more grand... coz it would be the last year for OGA Day to be held at Bukit Merbah.... wahh... so sad one... :( Terlalu banyak memori kat Bukit Merbah tu.... *sigh!* Below are the only pics that I managed to take within the 1 hour+ I spent in TKC on that day...

Anyway, we reached Kuala Pilah at around 10.30am... sent Izzaty's to Ita's house where the bride sedang bermake-up and later rushed to Pak Teh's to help whatever yg patut. Lepas makan pulut kuning (I did not have my breakfast dari pagi tau!).. tolong la sket2 apa yg patut kat dapur tu.. then later we were forced to have an early lunch.. sebab lepas ni kena report duty! hehe :) My duty was to take care of the souvenirs utk tetamu. Okay laaa.... not so difficult.. keh keh! Tapi penat siut! Berdiri lama sangat tunggu orang lalu nak passkan 'apple-dlm-mag-dlm bag'! :P Punya lah busy 'on duty'.. I almost forgot the 2nd reunion!! Tup tup.. dapat SMS dari Zainora to ask if I can make it to the reunion. By that time dah pukul 3 lebih... and I was already tired.. kaki dah merayu2 keletihan!! So dengan beratnya.. terpaksa lah jawab SMS tu cakap tak leh nak pegi... uwaaa!! :( Zai later replied me with an MMS with a pic and a message below.. 

"Ghugi kau Za... meriah boto kek sini"...

Uwaaaa!!! Frust lagi!!!! :P

But alhamdulillah... I had a great time at Haris' kenduri... it was quite meriah! Met lots of suku sakat! :)

To Haris and partner... selamat pengantin baru from Alang  and family! Semoga bahagia ke akhir hayat :)

25 random things about ME

1. My name is Runiza. My family called me ‘Za’. My younger siblings and cousins called me ‘Alang’. My TKC friends call me ‘Runi’. Some of my colleagues call me 'Kak Jah' - short to 'Hajjah'. My primary school friends used to call me ‘Ru’. But others mostly call me ‘Niza’... except for my dearest hubby... who fondly calls me ‘Izz' ;)

2. I am the 3rd child in the family... and the most rebellious one! Still am! :D

3. I am also the shortest one in the family... :P

4. My family means everything to me. I’d choose my family over my career! (Alamak betul ke aku cakap nih?? Atau baru seminggu tak kerja dah meroyan nak keja balik??? Uwaaaaa!!) But really... I am so jealous of some of my friends who are brave enough to quit their job and be a full time mom... take care of their kids...

5. I got married at the age of 27. First met my hubby at Menara Maybank (I had an appointment with a friend who happened to be his friend… and he wanted to tag along to ‘meet’ me.. haha.. jodoh la tu!).

6. I lost my dad on the 13th Sept 1998, a few days before my first wedding anniversary. I was 7 months pregnant then. I still can't forget how fragile he looked when I last met him at the Hospital Kajang... a day before I lost him. I still miss him and I wished that my kids could get to know their Atuk Manaf.... :(

7. I only have 2 kids - a girl and a boy. I wanted more (Really, I wanted to have at least 4!!) but hubby didn’t. And now, at my age... redha aje lah with 2! Alhamdulillah... ada jugak rezeki Allah bagi kan?

8. I love popia goreng!! When I was small, my arwah ayah used to buy popia goreng for us every Saturday at Kuala Pilah’s pasar malam! So everytime I eat popia goreng… I still think of him... :(

9. I don’t know how to swim! Have considered so many times to enroll for swimming classes... tapi sampai now belum kesampaian hajat tu...

10. I loveeeee to travel! Bumi Allah ni luas and I love exploring it!! Among places that I’ve been to – Europe (UK, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Netherland, Prague, Hungary, Switzerland, France, Turkey), Hanoi, Siem Reip, Bandung, Bali, Bangkok, Singapore, USA, Mecca, Madinah, Egypt, New Zealand, Gold Coast, and many other places.. alhamdulillah... syukur... :)

11. I had performed Hajj back in 2003 and would love to do it over and over again, insyaAllah.

12. I had been to NY World Trade Center before the buildings were destroyed in 2001 in the September 11 attacks.

13. I LOVE shopping... but don't think I am a shopaholic :D I can still control myself, insyaAllah ;)

14. I’ve worked with Maybank since 1994 (the year I graduated) but resigned in 1997, after I got married – kononnya nak cari office dekat dgn our rented house (Bkt Beruntung) and ended up working at TV3’s Sri Pentas. But I hate my job there… so before masuk 6 months, I resigned and rejoined Maybank. Kebetulan the GL system needed someone experienced... so dengan muka tak malu... rejoined la balik!! Hahaha! Yeap… setia betul ngan Maybank until now!! (Yeah right! More like malas nak cari kerja lain actually!).

15 . Once, I sold my favourite MyVi (black EZ) and buy another MyVi (sporty red SE)… just to get our ‘dream’ car plate number ‘RH122’. Why RH122?? RH = Razak Hussin (my darling hubby) and 122 = izz (my name laaa!) And why buy another MyVi? I love MyVi...comel! ;)

16. My first car was a Daihatsu Charade Aura… and I bought it with my own hasil titik peluh! (refused to get help from my parents when they offered me). Was very proud of that old car! And was very sad when had to let it go… in order to buy a bigger family car… our maroon proton wira :)

17. Recently, I found out that I love sewing beads!! Found it very therapeutic! Even my tailors puji tau!! But when other people asked if I’d like to ‘ambil upah’ for jahit beads... eiii.. tak mau lah! Ponek mato makcik jahit tu! :P

18. I once played hockey for TKC.. but as reserve player only.... heheh :D We (the hockey players) were forced to run 5 X 400m every time before our practice! Penat siut! Now? Nak lari 50m pun mengah! :D

19. I was a corporal cadet police when I was a fifth former in TKC. I secretly think that I got that ‘pangkat’ coz my senior did not like the other ‘potentials’... hahaha!

20. I have never been a good dancer.. really! But I performed 3 times doing ‘tarian melayu’ during my TKC life.... i) Freshie concerts back in 1983 (masa mula2 masuk tkc), ii) Interhouse dancing competition 1985 (a friend quit.. and diorang tak de calon lain.. so yours truly ni kira bidan terjun lah.. hahaha!) iii) A show for our 4th former concert. And FYI... dalam semua occasions tu... I was the most ‘keras’ and ‘lembab’ person to do all the dance steps... hahaha! :D

21. Recently, I joined TKC OGA in the hope... if Izzaty wanted to go to a boarding school... I could try applying via the OGA quota. Kalau dia tak nak… then I am more than happy to have her at home. Coz I am not sure I’m ready to let her go... *sob*

22. I’ve been using CLINIQUE facial care products ever since I was studying in the United States. Tried switching to many cheaper brands... tapi tak sesuai... did not like them! So until now, masih setia bersama CLINIQUE :)

23. I love teaching my kids. I try my best to spend time with them every night… doing revision or any ulangkaji..or just simply doing kumon homework :)

24. My friend of 28 years - Zita thinks I think too much! Banyak sangat berfikir and terlalu risaukan benda2 yang remeh. She’s probably right... *sigh!*

25. I love reading chic lit books! My fav author is definately Sophie Kinsella :)
