My so-called-famous ghondang ijau

Ever since I was small, my family would prepare 'ghondang ijau' (green rendang) every raya. So, once in a while if there is any 'pot luck' raya event... I'd bring this ghondang ijau ;)) My TKC frens like it. My colleagues in Auto Finance like it. I even shared the receipt with them... And some even called it 'Runi's ghondang ijau'.... Hehe! But the thing is.... I seldom do it... Setahun sekali pun jarang... Haha! 

And today... Setelah berapa lama dapur x berasap... I prepared ghondang ijau for a raya event (eh?? Syawal is over right? Whatever laa hahaha)....

Serai, lengkuas, halia, bawang putih and merah, kunyit and cili padi all in the blender... 

Merasmikan my new amway 'noxxa' pot - using slow preasure to cook the chicken... 

This pot is so awsome!! 2 mins jer ayam dah masak!!! 

Later, transferring it into conventional wok utk keringkan kuah rendang

And... Tadaaaaa!!! ;)) A bit spicy but hey... it would not be called ghondang nogoghi if it's not spicy :P

Resepinya? Here it goes...

1 ekor ayam

Santan

Blend all these together

3 brg serai

Lengkuas(ard 2.5cm)

Halia(ard 2.5cm)

5 ulas bwg putih

5 ulas bawang merah

Kunyit

Cili Padi

2 asam keping

Garam dan gula secukup rasa

Kiub ayam (optional)

Daun limau purut

Daun kunyit (racik halus)

1. Panaskan minyak, tumis bahan2 yg diblend until bau wangi

2. Masukkan ayam - masak until setengah masak, then masuk santan

3. Masukkan gula dan garam secukup rasa and masukkan kiub ayam(optional)

4. Masak sampai PEKAT

5. Lastly masuk asam keping, daun limau purut and daun kunyit yg dah diracik.

They remember my birthday!!

I was away on my birthday and when I returned to my office today, was so delighted to receive email from the Group Technology admin...

Yeah okay... I know this is a system-generated-email :P but STILL... It makes me smile ;)) It's the thoughts that count kan? ;)) suker suker suker! Hehe ;D

Raya with IT Cards team

For the past previous years, I celebrated raya with the Core Bankers. This year, for the first time ever.... I celebrated raya at the opposite wing... With the IT Cards team ;))

Frankly, I was amazed on how awesome this IT card people handled this raya event! They really do it! Like really bersungguh2!! I helped on the decoration... The theme for decoration was 'Moroccon'. They even came on weekends to do deco... Amazing teamwork!! Good job u all!!

Beraya @ Toh Puan Nik Saz's home

Every year, when Nik Saz invited us via Wassap to her open house, I wished I could go (after all, Nik Saz's house is just a few minutes away from my office) but never got the chance to do so. This year, I thought I could not make it as well... lagi pun tengah intensif mengganti puasa di bulan Syawal and sayang nak ponteng...

But when Germ messaged me that morning to inform that she wanted to go to Nik Saz's open house during lunch hour... I replied 'JOMPUT DEN KEK OPIS!! DEN NAK IKUT!!"... hehe! I am a real friend eh... mendera my BFF utk meredah KL traffic to fetch me in the center of KL city... just because I wanted to go to Nik Saz's place :)) Sorry Germ... but I LOVE YOUUUUU... *muah!* *muah!* heheee :D

So yes... I managed to go this year... yeeahaaa! Thanks to Germ... and I had a superb time indeed! :D It is always fun meeting old friends eh... ;)

A Simple Raya

I soooo miss blogging... huhu! Been so tired lately that when I came home I don't feel like doing anything but sleep... -_-

So yeah... this is my belated raya post :)

This year, our raya was really sempoiii... Raya preparation was done totally at the last minute. 2 days before raya baru laaa sibuk nak buat raya shopping! Had to wait for the kiddos to come back from asrama baru boleh shopping (I guess this will continue for the next few years... haha!). My baju raya that I sent to my tailor tak siap... and I gotto know this only 3 days before raya.... pfftt!! Saba jo lah :P At first, I wanted to wear my old kurung jer... I had a pair that matched the peach colour scheme that Hubby chose this year (yes, tahun ni hubby yang pilih kaler tema! hehe)... tapi masa jalan2 kat One-U... hubby ternampak a pair of baju kurung on a mannequin kaler peach yang matched our colour... terus beli laaa... apa lagi :P

Anyway, this year, kami beraya with my mom and siblings at my Along's house in Sri Damansara dulu...

3rd raya, we went back to Kuala Pilah to visit my uncles. Lalu depan lot 165-B, Jalan Bahau...

This used to be our home... Our playground... Sedih tenguk tinggal cenggini jer :'((

That's all ;) Alhamdulillah... Raya yang simple tapi sempat jumpa ramai relatives...

I hope everyone is having an awesome Raya with your loved ones, but please let’s not forget about our brothers and sisters in Gaza. Let us make doa for them and do our best to show our support.
