Day 2 : Doha to St Petersburg (via Moscow)

Early the next morning, I was already awaken when I heard my phone ringing. It saw Fid's number blinking on my phone (Eh?? Bukan ke I kat rumah dia?? She is just next door! Why is she calling me?). But it was Idris... apparently Fid was sick that night (heart beat terlalu laju or something) so Idris brought her to the nearest Medical Center for checkup. I was speechless... camana boleh jadi gitu?? She looked great the other day! Tiba2 aje? Penat sangat kot bawak we all jalan?? Or too much tomyam yesterday?? Aiyoo... suspen giler I!! Idris said not to worry and he'll send us to the airport himself. Rasa sangat2 bersalah okay.... rasa menyusahkan aje.. :(

We left Dukhan around 4am.. solat Subuh at one of the surau tepi jalan. Felt so guilty for leaving Doha without saying a proper goodbye to Fid :( She SMSed me saying she's okay and apologize for not sending us to the airport. Alahai Yang.... kami ni yang nak minta maaf ngan awak... kalau menyusahkan... huhu! Hope you get better soon darling...!!

Last pic with Idris, before leaving the house.

The villa where we stayed during our stay in Qatar - thank you so much Fid and Idris for your hospitality :)

The extra-ordinary long queue at Doha airport. Probably everybody want to 'balik kampung' sempena cuti aidil adha :)

We flew using Qatar Airlines again to Moscow and changed to a Russian flight to St Petersburg.

The kids meal was served in this cute spongebob box... cute kan?? :)

At Moscow airport

This cute sleeping man in Hawaian shirt is made from Lego. Comel kan? This is at Moscow Airport.

Reached St Petersburg around 5pm local time. It was already dark by then. A representative from St-Pertersburg.Com (the local agent where we booked our apartment) waited for us at the airport and brought us to our apartment. The apartment is very nice. I so like!!! :):) Very cozy and comfortable. It is also located somewhere near the Bank Bridge and Griboedova Canal and just about 100meters from a Nevski Prospekt metro station! Awesome!! :) It cost us about RM320 per night... quite reasonable considering the strategic location.

The living room - very cozy! The sofa-bed is quite comfy! :)

Our kitchen - I so like!! :)

The bedroom. Extra pillows and comforters provided in the cabinet.

Toilet - there's a washing machine in here - senang nak basuh baju :D

Kids doing Kumon homework in St Petersburg, Russia.

It was very cold in St Petersburg... but our apartment was warm and cozy... syiok tido malam tu :)

Day 1 : One day in Qatar

Me and the kids @ KLIA.

Day 1 : KUL - DOH : Qatar Airlines is awesome!! :) No wonder it is rated 5 stars! Hubby and the kids all agreed that Qatar Airlines has been their best flight experience ever... but yours truly kinda like Emirates better :)

Qatar Airlines di awan biru...

Telatah the kids in Qatar Airlines :)
Food wise... I think Emirates lagi sedap!!! :) Izzaty's last kids meal... haha! Next year dah ada IC... bukan kids lagi okay! :P

Izzat as always, exploring the entertainment - Qatar Airline's Oryx is as good as Emirates' ICE :D

Anyway, my friend, Fid (my junior during studying abroad in UMKC) fetched us at Doha Airport. She looks fab!!! :) It's been ages since we last met each other!! So good to meet you again Fid!!! *muah!* muah!*.

Waiting for Fid at Doha's airport. Doha was sunny... but not so hot. Love the weather! :)

In Fid's car - Nissan Armada... woaaaa... the car is huge! Me liking it!! :)

We did not have much time in Doha. Fid showed us around.. yeay! Thanks dearie!! Love you!! *muah!!!!*

Our first destination - Qatar's Museum of Islamic Art.
The museum seen from the car parking... sayup je nampak. Don't worry... ada cart tunggu... bawa kita ke lif museum :)

Me and Fid... enjoying the cart rides :)

Unfortunately, no photography allowed in the museum. Well, all I can say is most of the exhibits shown in the museum are from other countries like Syria, Egypt, Iran, ect. Takde pun dari Qatar :)

From the museum yard, we can see Doha's Corniche seafront. Beautiful!!
The kids getting along with Aunty Fid :)

Beautiful scenery from the museum

Posing jap depan Fid's car @ the museum parking...... bendera Malaysia kat belakang kereta tu yang mahal tu... hehe :D

Next, we went to the Doha's Corniche seafront. Nice view! Orang2 Qatar ni kaya2 sungguh... ramai yang main jetski during their leisure... wahh!! Fid!!! Bungkus satu bawak balik Malaysia!!! :D

Ayah and anak2 enjoying the Corniche seafront view...

Align CenterLotsa boats...

This house boat is for rent. Anyone interested??

With Fid and her Nissan Armada at Corniche:)

Next, since we have not yet performed our prayer... singgah kat sini, sebab sini ada surau and a nice Thailand Restaurant for our dinner... perut pun dah lapaq masa tu! :)

This place is strictly for family - so orang2 bujang dilarang melepak di sini yah! Unless kalau datang dengan family - No kidding! I thought that's a good idea! :)

Align Center
Izzat said he like Qatar... sebab tak sejuk.. hehe.

The Thai Restaurant where we had our early dinner (around 5pm Qatar time).

Enjoying the food... the tomyam was so delicious!!! =)

Entertainment for the kids at the park - the kids sure had fun trying this slide with the other Qatari kids! :)

Dah isi perut, dah kenyang... kami ronda2 Doha :) Fid, being her first experience jadi tourist guide did a good job!! :)

This is the road to Pearl Qatar I think... a place where the rich ppl stay! Heard that Brad Pit pun beli rumah kat sini... pergh!!!

Very expensive University - so I was told! Qatari aje pegi sini.... coz they are rich! :)

The Islamic Cultural Center.

As recommended by a friend, Yusri who used to live in Qatar for a few years, we must go to Souq Waqif. I was told everything in Qatar is sold there! Menarik juge :)

Idris (Fid's hubby) waited for us at Villagio Mall (by then my kids semua dah tumbang dalam kereta... agaknya still jet leg kot?! So I stayed in the car while Fid and Hubby go and meet Idris). Was told that this mall is so huge and so the cantik!!!

Venice in hot Qatar??

It's exactly like Macau's Venetian kan?? Tak percaya? See here!

Hubby and Idris - getting to know :)

Later, we followed Fid to their place in Dhukhan, which was about 1 hour journey from Doha. On the way, singgah kat Qatar's highest hill. Well, you know how flat and Arab country is... so hill ni tak lah setinggi mana... but you can see nice view from the top :)

Slept one night at Fid & Idris' place... very cozy home! I like!! :) Kepenatan sangat... we slept like a log itu malam... huhu! :D
