Curi2 jenguk Izzat's 'diary'

Last night... when I was getting ready to bed, I saw this diary... and found this 'coretan' ... and 'dream' of my lil' pilot-to-be son...

Besar rupanya my son's dreams, passions and imaginations... walaupun spellingnya tunggang-langgang :D

An eventful weekend

I had such an interesting weekend! Saturday was 'Report-card Day' at SKBB. Alhamdulillah... we heard only nice things about the kids (surprise! surprise!). Izzat got 5th place in class (1 Amanah) and 18th place in the overall standard 1 classes - not bad laa... afterall he's only 6 years old! Izzaty got 2nd place in class and in the overall standard 3 classes. Alhamdulillah.... mama and ayah are proud of both of you! Next time boleh usaha lagi for a better position! Anyway, went to MIL's house in the afternoon and later rushed home (with Zamri following us) to make sure we were able to watch the long-awaited "Hanna Montana" 3D concert! Kak Eina and the kids came and slept over at our place... bringing along lotsss of Hanna Montana's 3D google... yeay!! At 9pm sharp... all of us got ourselves comfortable infront of the TV with our google ready..... ;)

Sunday was another beautiful day. After Kak Eina and kids went home, I managed to finish up my 'beads sewing project' and TaDaaa....!!!!!!

The kids did not do their Kumon homeworks on Saturday (ye laa... too busy playing with cousins - Adiel, Alea and Ilhan... not to forget their favourite Uncle Ee.). So... Sunday they struggled to finish up their 2 days sets of homeworks (Maths and English). I realised Izzat is just 6 pages away from getting GOLD..

And Izzaty is a few pages away to finish level F (wahh... meaning she'll be in level G soon... level for Secondary 1! Mencabar tu!! )

After forcing the kids finishing up their Kumon homeworks (Izzaty had a tough time doing her homework above - being the first time doing this worksheet), we decided to take a break going mandi sungai!! Went to a river somewhere near Batang Kali (on the way to Genting Highland). Not bad laaa..... quite nice this place... unfortunately, after about half an hour... hujan turun la pulak... hahaha! So balik je la... but we had fun anyway... seronok!!! :)

The ever 'young looking' Abang Ujang..

Yesterday, my sis-in-law, May, SMSed me to inform that there was an article on my cousin 'Abang Ujang' in the NST. Abang Ujang @ Affendy Awalluddin is my Maklong Eda's 3rd child. He had been staying abroad ever since he was 18 I think... I was still young then... so I don't really got the chance to get to know him better. He is now staying in France... was married to a French lady and has 2 handsome sons.

I remember when we were young, we always looked forward to meet the famous Abang Ujang (Abg Ujang was staying in Germany then.. so sekali sekala balik of course la glamour! hehe) . We used to say that 'muka Abg Ujang ni macam muka Sudirman lah!!'. And he was like "Sape Sudirman ni?? Mana ada... Abg Ujang lagi hensem!!". That's the Abang Ujang I know... always cheerful and talkative :)

So yesterday, I didn't waste any time getting a copy of NST after receiving May's SMS. Wow... there he was... in NST's Street, Page 8!! There was a pic of him (what??? he's now 52??? NO WAY!!! He doesn't look 52... he's like MY age... so young looking!!). From the article I also learned some facts about him that I've never known before.... wow!! I am so proud of him.... !! A successful business man now! And surviving in France!! Though I wonder if he can still remember ME... the little girl who used to look at him with adoring eyes... hehe!

This morning I received an email from Along with a pic of Abang Ujang's reunion pic at his old school - Tuanku Muhammad School, batch 1963 - 1973. (Hah?? I was only 3 years old when he was doing his SPM????!!). And when I looked at that pic (refer to http://www.fnd-fnd.com/tmsweb/tms/groupPic2.html), I realised how young our Abang Ujang looked compared to the rest of his friends. Most of his friends either 'dah beruban' or at least looked their age, ada yang even 'bertongkat' ... but Abang Ujang is still steady!! I am so amazed! Abang Ujang... mind sharing the secret of your youthful look???;)

Beads fever

I have not written anything in this blog for the past few days coz I've been busy doing another 'project' :) Project menjahit beads!!! I sent this thai silk kurung to my usual tailor at Medan Mara last raya.... but to my disspointment, the beads were sewed quite terribly cincai and not nice at all!!! And I was charged RM250 for it!!! I hated the beads workmanship so much... nak pakai baju tu pun tak best!!! Tak puas hati punya pasal... I decided to take off all the beads.. and redo it all over again!. The new beads that I'm using are more shining and nicer. So now I spent most of my free time sewing beads... penat wehh!! Dunno la bila boleh siap... *sigh!*

The old version ( my daughter said 'macam ulat je!')

The new version (may be not so cantik.. but at least better than before! Janji hati puas!)

Kids' mid term result

Izzat called me at the office this afternoon - excitedly telling me he got 5th place in his class for the mid term exam. Wahh... that's a nice surprise!! :) Quite a big improvement compared to the 11th place in previous test. And being a 'kaypochee' mom (haha!) of course lah I am soooo happy and proud of him! Berbaloi sikit rasanya the stress I had to experience in effort to teach him. I love you boy!! And mama is sooo proud of you!! *muuah*.

Izzaty had to satisfy herself at 2nd place after being beaten by Shafiqah yet again. She needs to work harder to beat Shafiqah in the next test/exam. You can do it girl..! But don't be so sad... your result is not that bad... I'm quite happy with your result... I am proud of you too, you know... :)

In short, 'teacher mama' is quite happy with their results... I must thank Allah... for this rezeki.... and hope I'll be more sabar to teach them in the future... Aamin.

Rambling of a mom..

I am soooo tired! :( Hubby went outstation to Thailand. The kids are back to school. Izzaty was excited to back to school - can't wait to know her mid term exam results at KAFA and wondering who would be her new class teacher (Pn Roslina, her previous teacher is transfered to Shah Alam Section 27 school).

Hectic morning - Hubby's cab came at around 6.30am. Izzat cried and membebel while getting ready to school (nothing new!). Nak pujuk punya pasal, mama volenteered to send him on his first day to school this new semester. So okay... at least he's okay by the time he reached school. And mama can go to office peacefully...

Night... a drama happened at Kumon class.... Izzat was in a foul mood. Was late getting ready to Kumon... refused to get in the car... and when we reached Kumon.. he refused to come out of the car!! Then I remembered! He has not done his english homework!! That's why!?! Punya lah pujuk... but still do not want to come out of car. Even Aunty Nani tegur... "what happened?? merajuk ke??" Gosh... !! Malu betul mama!! Dah la penat rushing from office tadi!! Geram sangat2!! Last2...after explaining 'the situation' to Teacher Salina, she came down to the car and pujuk Izzat. Lama jugak lah.... but alhamdulillah... he agreed to come out of the car... and sit for the class... phew!!

This morning... another drama!! He slept late last night.. so this morning he woke up a bit late.. so again, the usual morning drama... bla...bla.... :P Again, Mama had to send him to school this morning.. .but this time, he refused to come of the car!! This never happened before!! I wonder why.... so in the end, mama had to send him to class... punya lah manja.... adoiiii..... stress betul jadi career mommy nih! :P

Petrol price rise - a nightmare!

Harga minyak naik lagi!! Naik 70sen seliter!! Ishhh.... this will definately affect Malaysian's way of life!! Especially me!!! I travel a lot everyday from Bkt Beruntung to Bangsar... and I refill my petrol once in every 4-5 days. Yesterday, when my bro-in-law, BangLong SMSed me with the petrol price rise news, I decided to leave office early and refill my MyVi before going home.... but to my surprise (well, not really a big surprise lah!!) all the station I crossed on my way home was overloaded with cars!!! I mean... really, really overloaded!!! BIG TIME!!! I didn't expect the rumours to spread so fastt..... everyone was trying to beat the price before midnight!! And that was the worst crowd I've ever encounter in my entire life!!! I didn't feel like joining the queue.... so headed home frustratedly.

Later, when I reached my house... I saw Izzaty on her bicycle of two wheels..... riding confidently! Wahh... my daughter can now ride a two-wheels-bicycle!! Alhamdulillah.... it's not me who teach her that skill.... she learned that by herself with help from her friends and neighbours. A different story came from Izzat though... he got a nasty accident at around 5.45pm. He must have put the plastic rode (which is suppose to be used to build a kid's tent) in his mouth and accidently fall... and the plastic rode must have 'tergadak' in his mouth.. so he got some nasty cuts in his mouth. Sent him to Klinik Aniza for check up. Nothing serious... but due to the nasty cuts... he should be on soft diet for 2 weeks... hopefully the cuts will heal fast...

This morning, I refill my MyVi. Usually it costs me about RM65 for a full tank.. but this morning it costs me RM80 - and that is NOT MyVi full tank!! I think if I refill full tank it would be around RM90 - RM100 kot... mak aiiii!!!! Tu belum lagi hubby's Toyota Altis!!! Aduduhhhhh....

Remembering an old friend - the late Rosmaria Razak

A few days ago, I received a call from zita saying that an old friend named Maria passed away. The day before that I was just browsing through my old primary school album and I automatically thought it was 'Maria' from our primary school days... (have not seen her since I left primary school by the way!).

Two days ago... I met up with Zita for lunch at Mid Valley... and came across Kus who was my one year senior from TKC days. Then I heard Zita talking to Kus about ' the late Rosmaria' and I was like "WHAT????? Our Rosmaria??? Red house, hockey player?? That's the 'Maria' you've been talking about????" But it can't be.... I just met her 2 years ago at TKC OGA... and she looked good! But sadly... the truth is... Rosmaria Razak, my one-year senior at TKC (my hockey team buddy, police cadet buddy... and a dear friend... which I will never forget!!) died on 14th May 2006. It was a sudden shock for everyone.. including her family...

I was still shocked with the news when I reached home that evening... and couldn't stop thinking about the late Maria... so I recite Yaasin for arwah... and pray that she'll be in golongan orang yang beriman... Aaminn.

Later, I opened my old TKC album and saw these pics.... (Maria is at the front row - 3rd from left)

(Maria at the back row - 2nd from left beside Encik Yaacob our hockey coach)

A visit to the historical city of Malacca

As planned, we went back to Melaka on the first weekend of the school break. Kesian kids... cuti sekolah kali ni balik kampung je lah. "Asyik2 balik Melaka..." - that's from Izzat, my little hero.. hehehe.

Well.... to make the trip fun, we brought the kids to Dataran Melaka (been yearssss since I stepped my foot here!) and Mini Malaysia. Got the chance to show kids the 'real' A'Famosa. In their mind... A'Famosa is the resort (aka A Famosa resort!). They do not know the history behind the name... ish..ishh... rosak sejarah Melaka je A'Famosa resort nih!!!

The REAL A'Famosa :)

And sekitar bandar Melaka...

At Mini Malaysia

After that trip, we sent everyone to Mak's Melaka house and later hubby & I headed to Muar to visit Salman and his lovely wife, Sue at their Petronas Station at Tanjong Agas... such a lovely couple! :)

So okay laa.... we had a lovely cuti-cuti Malaysia :)
