Harbin's winter wonderland - Day4 pt2

Since today was our last day here, we decided to explore the city of Harbin in the daylight ;) Asked the taxi to stop at the end of Zhongyang Street which is the most happening place in Harbin. It was still snowing, and Harbin was all white and looked stunning! Subhanallah... cantek banget!!!

As expected, in Zhongyang Street there were lots of people. It's like a party here! At the end of Zhongyang Pedestrian Street there's Songhua River which of coz is frozen at this time of the year. On the river you can find any kind of ice attraction. Lots of people were ice-skating, riding snow-bikes, ect. - it's kind of ice wonderland :D

Mr Hubby ajak ice skating..... erkkkk!!! It's extremely cold kot??!! Definitely a NO from me -.-
Sorry to be such a wet blanket... but seriously, the thought of cold wind on my face while ice-skating..... brrrr!!!! cannot tahan... huhu!

We took a stroll down the Zhongyang Pedestrian Street to see some of the ice sculptures.

Zhongyang Street is where you can really get a sense of the whole East meets West vibe of the city. Nice and beautiful pedestrian street with old Russia architecture. Lots of restaurants and souvenir shops - definitely the best place to shop in Harbin! Unfortunately we could not find any halal restaurant here :(
But it's definitely a place to go in Harbin!!

Okay... ini adengan yang memalukan.... tak kenal lah jejaki ni :P

Help! I got frozen in Harbin!
I was frozen in Harbin in 2016 :)
Been there! Done that! :)

The scenery along Zhongyang Pedestrian Street is so amazing!!
Sekali pandang macam kat Europe kan this pic?
But nope.... it's Harbin. And we are in China :)
Freezing cold -.-

Left Harbin the next morning and...
Hellooooo sunny and warm Kuala Lumpur!! :)
Was I glad to be home.... walau pun panas... Lol!

Harbin Polarland - Day4 pt1

Today there were just the 2 of us. Na and Saadan had left for Beijing earlier in the morning. We decided to visit Harbin's Polar Land. Took taxi from the city to Polar Land which cost us CNY20 (an honest taxi driver. so happy to get cheap taxi fair this morning... haha!). It was snowing whole day... amazing view all around Harbin!

Yours truly in my new winter jacket in front of St Sophia Cathedral before getting a cab to go to Polarland ;)

Harbin Polarland is the first theme park of polar land scenes in China. There are the pure penguin family of South Polar, polar bears, arctic wolve, arctic fox, dophins, sea lions, whales, lots and lots of fishes including sharks, ect. There are a few shows (visitors have to note the show time to make the visit worth while!), a whale show and a sea lion show, in the park which run four times daily : The famous Beluga Show (you can't miss this one! It's the highlight of this place!) at 11am, 1pm and 5pm ; The Walrus and Sea Lion Show at 10am, 12noon, 2pm and 4pm.

In front of Harbin Polarland.... loving the new winter jacket haha!

These polar bears are so adorable!!

An arctic wolve

An arctic fox running in a cycle machine... super cute!!! ;)

Lotsa fishes!

Sharks!!

I fall in love with these 2 belugas!!!!! They are super adorable!!!! Kiut banget!!!

I really, really enjoyed the beluga show despite the fact it was narrated in Chinese which I do not understand at all :D

Us getting ready for the Walrus and Sea Lion Show

Outside Polarland after the show...

Took taxi back to the city after getting enough of the cold haha! The taxi cost us CNY22 from Polar Land to the Zhongyang Pedestrian Street.

Zhongyang Pedestrian Street - Day3 pt3

We did not cover all of Zhongyang Pedestrian Street on our first day. In other words... we had not done enough shopping yet, lol! Not that we wanna shop much... okay just say 'window shopping' then :D

After dinner, we decided to lepak here. Well okay... lepak is not a good word as it is wayyyy too cold to lepak :P Exploring is a more suitable word I guess ;) Having freezing fun posing for the cameras and window shopping ;)

It's -27C that night. And Na and I was crazy enough to sit on an ice sleigh with ice reindeer :D

Monkeying around Harbin. Hey... it's going to be a year of Monkey this coming CNY right? ;)

It's cold alright... .but LOVE is definitely in the air :D

Happy 2016 from Harbin! :D

Ice restaurant. All furnitures are made of ice here.... cool isn't it?
We did not eat or drink here.... x de sijil halal Lol!

Well, Costa Cafe also doesn't have halal cert... but we decided to have a coffee here (the coffee is halal okay :P), at least it's warm in here compared to the ice restaurant :D

Did not stay long here as Na and Saadan was leaving Harbin to Beijing the next day. Yours truly and Mr Hubby would be staying for another day before going back to KL a day after tomorrow. But hey, I bought a new winter jacket in Uniqlo @ Zhongyang Pedestrian Street ;)

Harbin Snow Festival 2016 – Day 3 pt2

From the Siberian Tiger Park, we took a cab to Snow Festival. Taxi fare cost us about CNY24 only. The location of the ice festival is not far from the ice festival that we went yesterday and it exhibits spectacular snow sculptures done by sculptors from all over China and all around the world. The snow sculptures were huge and amazingly beautiful!

Menghayati kekuasaan Allah... the rivers in Harbin are all frozen this time of the year... SubhanaAllah.

See how details the sculptors did all those sculptures!

Seperti biasa... seisi memanaskan badan.. lol!

View from the cafe was so beautiful! Frozen lake.... Subhanallah... A breathtaking scenery indeed!!

See how big the snow castle is! Wondering how many tons of snow they need to build such a huge castle!

Having fun walking on the frozen lake! My sis Na jatuh gedebuk while walking on the icy lake! lol!
It's very slippery and I wasn't sure if we were wearing the right shoes for this weather :D

As we walked, we got more comfortable sliding our shoes along the ice. We still slipped once in a while but alhamdulillah, tak la jatuh... huhu!

Ini semua muka poyo tak tahan sejuk! :D
p/s : Na!!! We can see water coming out from your nose in this pic!!!! LOL!!! :D

Walking on the slippery frozen lake while appreciating those beautiful sculptures in
such an extreme weather... a priceless experience I tell you!!

There was some snow sport activities on the frozen lake. Mr Hubby tried the sliding. Nampak cam best juga sliding tu... but it was too cold... so yours truly and the rest malas nak try.

Penguins of the Madagascar.. :D
Characters from the Madagascar movie

Aksi2 melampau.. Lol!
Loving this pic of us Na! Gaya poyo kita tak boleh belah laa dlm gambar ni LOL!!

Didn't stay till dark this time. Went back to the city by taxi by noon. This time, the taxi cost is CNY70.
