Raya with IT Cards

Just like last year, the TQC team join ventured with the IT Card team to organize the Raya Open House event. When they held a meeting on deciding the menu and such, I was away in Hong Kong. So this year for the open house, I only pay some money (amount decided by the committees) and not landed with any specific duties... Haha... Selamat la kira :D

The event was not as meriah as the previous years I guess but we sure had fun nevertheless ;)

Let's just enjoy the pics, shall we? ;)

Top 50 Cities to see in your lifetime

Travelling around and exploring new places is one of the best things that I've ever done! A friend of mine do not understand this hobby of mine - she thought travelling is a waste of money as you can't see the output (her hobby is collecting branded handbags... so she spent a lot (like really A LOT!) on them and highlighted to me that at least she could see her handbag collection - Haha... memang la kan!). Of course I can't see the output physically... but the experience of seeing the world, seeing the beauty of Allah's creation.. THAT is PRICELESS! Well, all I can say is different people has different passions ;)

x-UMKCian Raya Gathering ;)

Among the best years of my life was during my years studying in the States. I had sooo much fun (too much fun probably haha!) and gained lots of experience staying abroad. Being far away from home, my Malaysian friends were my family. We stick together like brothers and sisters. They were always there for me - during my ups or down. We shared lots of memories together. We walked to classes together, did groceries together, travelled during semester break together, ect, ect. I was lucky indeed to have such amazing friends!! ❤️

One thing about growing up, you have less time for friends :( Yes, we are still keeping in touch via Facebook, wassap, ect. But it's so difficult to find time that suit everyone for a small gathering or reunion.

When I was in Hong Kong recently, Kak Nor (my favourite senior when I was in the States!), informed that she'll be organizing a mini gathering for the ex UMKCians on Saturday eve. Told her that I would still be in Hong Kong and could not make it... and she changed it to Sunday eve instead! She told me that I MUST COME no matter what... huhu!

Walaupun masih kepenatan after coming back from Hong Kong, digagahkan juga diri ini driving to Bangi (hubby went outstation to PD the same eve) to attend this mini gathering :D Takut kecik pula hati kakak ku sorang ni kalau tak dapat hadir... huhu! Lagi pun... I do not want to miss the opportunity to meet my sisters and brothers again! :)

Was among the last to arrive but alhamdulillah... sangat  berbaloi datang!! Hilang rinduku pada mereka2 ini.... hehe... :D

The UMKCians who attended the mini gathering.
I didn't get the chance to meet some of the juniors in the pic during my life in the States... but it's really nice meeting them!
Sitting from left : Shima, Sury, Yours Truly, Zarina, Kak Nik (another fave senior! hehe), Marina, Kak Jorah and Sukma
Standing from left : Prof Dr Rahmat (Kak Nik's hubby), Min and son, Zai, Bob, Duan, Ronjo, Rohaizad, Kak Nor and Dato Sufian (Abg Pian you ROCK!!! Sgt awek muda!! :D Apakah rahsia?)
Missing in this pic is Abg Nan (Kak Nor's hubby who went to the nearby shop to buy something and Shahrom who came a bit late).

Us and family.

Ragam kami bergambar... LOVE this pic! :D

Food was awesome!! Lots of them! Min bawa delicious nasi kerabu... yum! yum! We had a blast, definitely!! Peluk2 Kak Nik and Kak Nor tak mau lepas... hahaha! These 2 sisters are so dear to my heart! ❤️

The host of the event. Kak Nor Aisyah.
You're still my favourite senior tau! ❤️
Thank you for organizing the event! Sorry ya datang lambat... but I did come, didn't I ;)
Love you sis! Stay awesome! ❤️

Too bad many of them could not make it. I miss you KA, Chuk, Zurina, Mieda, Shila, Zit, Sikin, Kak Ayu, Pejoy, Aid, ect, ect!! Kena buat lagi gathering lah cenggini! :D

An oversea assignment

For the first time ever in my entire working-life, I had a work oversea assignment :D Well, been to Singapore once years ago during my early years with Mayban Finance for an MSAGL system training. But that was a training. This is a work assignment. I was sent to Hong Kong to test the ICBA system for our HK branch version. Flew to Hong Kong with our project lead, Vijay and another tester, Valli and 2 infopro staff, Eira and Uncle Tan.

I noticed in my teenage daughter's instagram that it's a trend for those going abroad to take this kind of pic... so yeah, why not?! Nak gak buat :'D

Once we touched down... went straight to our HK branch.
That's Vijay in the pic entering our branch.

Welcome to Maybank Hong Kong :D
Nice office! Loving the cooperate yellow background!

Our office is at the Citic Tower located in Tim Mei Avenue, Admiralty, Hong Kong.

So yeah, went to work right after touch down and left the office around 8pm... huhu! After work, walked with Vijay, Valli and Eira to a halal restaurant nearby.
It was already dark by the time we left the office.

Our first dinner in Hong Kong was Briyani rice!
They have a selection of chicken, fish and lamb briyani. All quite nice. But the price was like RM30 per serve.... aiyoo...-.-

After dinner, Vijay and Valli went back to their hotel while Eira and myself went back to Maybank Apartment where our home would be during our stay here in HK.
My room in Maybank Apartment in HK - small and cozy. Just nice for me :D
The apartment has 3 rooms, one living hall and a kitchen. Can cook if we want...

Souvenirs from HK government which I got upon arrival at the airport :D
Lotsa fridge magnets and magnetic bookmark! Thank you HK! But errr.... awat la fridge magnets budha... huhu :P

Day 2 : view from my room
Queuing for bus no '1' to go to work. It cost me HKD3.40 per trip.
Took bus everyday back to forth to and from work.

It rained almost all the time I was in HK :D
View from the room where I do testing

When I messaged my sisters telling them that I am in Maybank HK, they asked me to selfie...
so here goes.. :D
Me and Valli at work :D

The restaurant that I went everyday for lunch with Eira :D
My housemate and lunch partner in Hong Kong - Eira :D

My lunch on 2nd day - nasi ayam : Hong Kong version! Yummy!!!! Kenyang sangat!

That night, we went home quite late. Reached the apartment around 10pm. Dari lapaq terus hilang lapaq... rasa nak tidur jer... so we ended up makan roti with sambal kentang that I bought from Zura and sambal bilis that Eira brought from KL.
Breakfast the next morning was Mi Sedap Maggie goreng :D

3rd day morning, I dropped by at Starbuck to buy a Starbuck Hong Kong city tumbler as ordered by my eldest sis. My Along started a collection of the tumbler when her eldest son worked in Starbuck years ago. Not a bad idea kan... collection starbuck city tumbler ni...
Opsss... sorry I forgot to take the tumbler pic but just take the wrapped tumbler :D

As usual, whenever we buy a tumbler, we'll get free starbuck coffee... so yeah, I had Starbuck latte this morning.

Lunch on 3rd day - Fish and Chip!
Us, the 3 Maybanker testers :D

Day 4 was a Saturday... tapi still kena kerja :P
But I gotto enjoy this view from another angle of the office :)
Well, not many staff work on Saturday, so boleh la pusing2 office tenguk view :D

Yours truly berposing tapi gelap la pulok :P

Fish briyani again for lunch on Day 4

At 5pm, I left the office to go to the airport. Vijay said to show this to the taxi driver (it's difficult to communicate here as some taxi drivers do not understand english).

But Anil, one of the Infopro staff and Eira decided to accompany me to the taxi. And Anil can speak Cantonese despite the fact he is an Indian! Caya lah Anil!! Terharu lak bila Anil and Eira teman ke airport sebab Maybankers pun tak teman I ke airport... huhu! (well actually Vijay did ask if I want them to teman me.. but I said no. But Anil and Eira did not ask... they just teman me without question.... so sweet of them :))

At the airport express, I took the HK express train to terminal 1. (cost me HKD100)
Selfie sket in the train :D

Had to wait for a while for my flight gate number. Lepak for a while and when it came out... giler jauh kena jalan to gate 34... huhu!
Kuala Lumpur, mu tunggu aku datang!! :D
