Boulders Beach, South Africa - Africa Day7 Pt3

From Cape of Good Hope, we drove to Simon's Town for lunch.  But before that, we stopped at the famous Boulders Beach. This beach, with its wind sheltered bays and safe sandy shores, is home to a breeding colony of over 2000 endangered African Penguins. The Boulders Beach penguin colony must be the most awesomest setting to see the cute African Penguins!! Set within a nature reserve, the penguins have a fantastic habitat to live within... lucky penguins! *yeah, I am so jealous of them! :P)

I kinda like these signboards... somehow they amused me :D

Walking on a wooden walkway all the way to the entrance...

The Boulders Beach penguin colony is actually part of the Table Mountain National Park Marine Protected Area. The entrance fee for an adults is R45.
Hey look who were there to welcome us :D
There were lots of penguin nests alongside the wooden walkway before you reach the entrance.
There's a sign in the parking lot to stay away from the breeding zone.

Awww... they are soooo cute!!! :D

This is a lovely beach with easily accessible board walks to view the penguins.
It was an AMAZING view indeed!

I have never seen soooo many penguins in one place before!
The Penguins are like everywhere! And they are super cute!! :D
You can see them nesting, swimming, resting and playing. :)
Definitely a highlight of our trip!

This place was so windy that I have to hold my tudung before it fly all over :D

Plenty of penguins to see all over the beach and coming very close! Such a unique experience!
Loving the view! (and the company hehe :D )

Such a cool place to be.
Sun, white powdery sand, lots and lots of penguins, clear water, quaint surrounding areas!
I SO LOVE THIS PLACE!!!:D

Okay, enough of penguins. Let's grab something to eat! I was soooo looking forward to eat seafood here in Simon Town. But somehow, we ended up here...
It's a small retail shop with a take-away counter. Nothing much... but most important, it's halal ;)

The boys really enjoyed this - beef drywors aka daging salai. Sedap katanya...
I didn't try though...

Ohhh... Maggie oso got here! :D

We ordered hotdog sandwich only as there were not much in the menu. Was a bit upset for not able to eat seafood. Kempunan mak nak makan fish and chip tau... :'((

And since there were no tables at the shop for us to enjoy our lunch. We ended up eating it in a parking space in our car... huhu.

So yeah, after lunch, we continue our journey back to Cape Town.

Continuing our journey...

We stopped here on the way to perform our prayer...

Praying under a nut tree... :D

Reached Cape Town during sunset.
Back in Cape Town, we dropped by at Bo-Kaap - also famously known as 'Malay Quarter' in Cape Town to get something for dinner. Here in Bo-Kaap, you can find lots of halal restaurant.
Our first introduction to Bo-Kaap area. It's so colourful here ;)

The restaurant that we chose to have dinner..

Biesmiellah Restaurant..

The menu offered here...

My choice of menu - Jalappeno : Crumbed chicken, cheese, and onion and jalappeno sauce.

Mr Hubby and Abang Yusof decided to share these :

Chicken Briyani and something... (not sure what was the name of the top pic menu)

Alhamdulillah. A very tiring long day but worth every sweat! haha!
There is so much to see in Cape Town, I tell you! Tomorrow was our last day and I am still not ready to leave this beautiful town -.-

*to be continued soon*
