Cape of Good Hope, South Africa - Africa Day7 Pt2

The ultimate attraction of the our adventure today was the Cape Point at the end of the Cape Peninsula, with the legendary Cape of Good Hope :)

Cape Point, the most south-westerly tip of Africa, is a spectacular sight is home to breathtaking bays, beaches and rolling green hills and valleys. This place is so breathtakingly beautiful!! Spectacular!!

It's very windy up here - loving the weather so much!

This is a lovely place to walk and explore. There are fantastic views from different heights.
You can hike or walk up to the top to the old light house or you can ride the funicular which we did :D

After riding the funicular, you have to walk up to more stairs to reach the light house.
Mak semput naik tangga… haha!

Opssss... let's selfie first... :D
Am enjoying the view so much ;)

And I made it!!!! :D

Awesome view from the top! Took my breath away!

When we came down, we saw this sign. 1.5 hours return walk? No way!! Mak tak larat dah!

But the boys did…

While the boys were walking at the Light House keepers trail... I just sat there and enjoy the beautiful view. Windy weather up there!
The funicular

Loving this place sooo much!! :D

We later drove down to Cape of Good Hope.

Cape of Good Hope is a rocky promontory area at the southern end of Cape Peninsula, South Africa. It was first found by the Portuguese navigator Bartolomeu Dias in 1488 on his return voyage to Portugal after ascertaining the southern limits of the African continent. One historical account says that Dias named it Cape of Storms and that John II of Portugal renamed it to Cape of Good Hope, because its discovery was a good omen that India could be reached by sea from Europe.

Mr and Mrs ;)

From CapeCode,  we drove down to the rural suburb of Noordhoek with its long sandy beach and continue to Simon's Town on the west coast of the Cape Peninsula to get something to eat.

Mission : to find delicious seafood restaurant!
