Unforgetable Bandung!

Okay... I know... I know.. :P This is waaaaay too much!!! :P I just came back from Hong Kong.... and last weekend, I joined my office colleagues going to Bandung.... yeap... AGAIN!! :P Supposed, the usual team from the previous trip were all going... we booked the ticket last year... the RM0 offer! But at the very last minute, Tda could not make it... her FIL is very, very sick (suspected cancer.... nauzubillah...). So just the 3 of us.... Linda (the self-appointed ketua rombongan), June and yours truly ajer yang pergi... huhu! At the beginning, I wanted to tarik diri from this trip... coz my $$$ udah kering!!! :P But I felt bad... dah janji kan with the girls.... so yeap... I decided to joined them jugak... kena lah korek simpanan di tabung haji.... warrrghhhh!!!! :P

Anyway, so many unexpected things happened during this trip! Linda... our ketua rombongan was supposed to contact Pak Andang... our usual Supir in Bandung. Tda called Pak Andang earlier.... but since she was not joining us... Linda took over... she told us a 'weird' conversation that she had with Pak Andang.... but alhamdulillah... Pak Andang met up with us at the airport.... so okay... so far so good... :)

In Bandung again!! Thanks to Air Asia... now everybody can fly :)

Firstly, check in to our hotel... Rumah Ebo... a very cozy B&B style hotel... nice!! I like... :)

Next... to my fav shopping place... Pasar Baru. First stop in Pasar Baru... kedai Batik Ahmad... hehe :D Yeap... the shop is exactly as our previous trip... met the lovely shop asistants again... esp Siska :) I only bought one kain serat nenas for myself... and one for a friend, Rozaiton yang sibuk nak mengirim! :P June and Linda memang lah memborong! Esp June... huhu! Sakan!! :) Next we stoped at kedai 'Sri Cinta'... first time nih shopping sini...

Ada lah memborong beberapa pasang kain for kurung... for myself and Sis Hazey, my lovely neighbour.... adoii.... beberapa rupiah dah habis di sini! :P Take note yah.... I do not bring lots of rupiah for this trip.... coz I did not have much budget.. :(

Next stop... Toko Laris... the girls' favourite telekong store! One of the shop assistant, Nanang was nice enough to model for us some nice telekong...

Did I buy any telekong?? Huhu... NOPE! No budget... :( I have bought quite a few last year anyway... so better not buy this time.... beringat2 la konon... huhu! :P Kesian Nanang... penat je dia model for me... hehee... sorry ya Pak Nanang..... :)

Next... I wanted to buy kain for baju raya... that was my top priority for this trip!! Shopping for baju raya... :) Our destination... textile shop YABEZ! Sorry ya ibu2... gue lagi sibuk bersopping lagi lupe mau ngambilin fotonya kedai Yabez! :) But yeap... I spent lotsss here! Baju kain melayu for my jejaka2... and kain baju kurung for myself and daughter :) Tema raya tahun ini.... PURPLE!!! :) I also bought kain baju kurung for my mom and aunty (both would be boria in purple this raya! hehe!) and lastly kain baju raya for my MIL and FIL!! Well, baju raya shopping is DONE!!! Finished!!! :P

Cik Linda siap tempah baju lace kat Yabez ni.... macam baju pengantin you!!! Dasattt!! :) Tempah petang... lusa siap! Wahhh... enak sekali!! :) BTW, tengah sibuk bersopping... I heard someone mentioned my name.... pusing2 tenguk ada Zita & Jedah... my x-primary schoolmate!! Wah.... bestnya dapat jumpa old frens lak kat sini!!!! I knew they were in Bandung on that day... but being able to meet them in Pasar Baru, Bandung yang agak besor tu.... wah... subhanAllah! Memang lah kuasa tuhan kan? :) Boleh pulak we all shopping at the same place... same floor and same shop!! :D Menjerit2 lah kami dlm kedai Yabez tu!! *grin*. What a small world... then a few mins later... another friend, Mimi pulak masuk... jerit lagi!!! wah wah!! enak banget ibu2 liburan di Bandung yah! :D

It was around 5.30pm by the time we finished shopping... time for solat! So Linda called Pak Andang to fetch our things at Yabez. Tapi macam Pak Andang tu tak paham apa we all cakap... so we end up naik atas sendiri to find Pak Andang to put our things before proceeding to the Musollah on top of Pasar Baru. Tengah bersolat tu... Pak Andang called Linda asking where we were.... hmm... that's weird... tadi kan baru jumpa and cakap kami nak gi solat? That did not sound like the normal Pak Andang to us... ???? Anyway, lepas je solat... kami turun ke laras 6 to find Pak Andang... tengah tercari2 Pak Andang... there was one man approaching us cakap "Sini.. sini.... sini Pak Andangnya!". Ehh?? that's definately not our Pak Andang... then luckily I saw Pak Andang at the back... yaa.., itu baru Pak Andang yang asli!! Who was that man? Kenapa pulak dia mengaku dirinya Pak Andang???? Misteri betul masa tu....

On the way out from Pasar Baru... Linda's phone berbunyi. She was like "Eh..... Pak Andang tersalah call saya ke?" And Pak Andang pun kelam kabut check his handphone.... "Enggak! Bukan Pak Andang yang nelepon!". Eh?? siapa ya??? Bila check balik phone number on Linda's phone... "Ya bukan! Itu bukan nombornya Pak Andang!". Ehh??? Biar betul Linda nih!!! Rupanya all these while yang dia call Pak Andang (dari Malaysia lagi!).... dia salah orang!!! And the fake Pak Andang keep dialing Linda's number again and again and again!! Eeuuuu... Scary babe! Dah la kat tempat orang.... kitorang ni dah la girls aje!! End up, Linda just switch off her phone!

Next stop.... dinner at Restoran Pak Chi Met... delicious as always!! :) And then to Rumah Mode!! Masuk2 aje dah jumpa baju yang berkenan.. huhu! Penat round2 rumah Mode.. tak sedar dah pukul 7pm.. and rumah Mode nak ditutup... kelam kabut gi bayar apa yang patut! huhu!! :) And we did not stop there... after rumah Mode.. kami ke Merdeka outlet nothing that interest me here... so cuci mata aja lah... :)

Day 2... pagi2 lagi kami ke Jakarta. Upon recommendation by Kak Asma, we wanted to see Mangga 2 ITC. Teruknya traffic nak masuk Jakarta!! ITC Mangga2 is so huge!! Unfortunately, nothing that fancy me here.... so tak beli satu benda pun! The girls bought some toys for their kids.
By noon, we decided to leave Jakarta... nak ke Safari di Bogor :) I was really looking forward to see the animals here! Unfortunately, hujan renyai2 la pulak masa sampai sana... tapi nekad nak pegi jugak! :)

For me... this the best thing that happened today! Jakarta was a disapointment to me... but Safari.... awesome!! I like!!! :)

During our journey... again Linda received calls from the 'fake' Pak Andang. Waduh... gawat nih! Pak Andang yang asli in the end masuk campur... took the phone from Linda and talk to the fake Pak Andang. Then baru kami faham ceritanya.... rupa2 nya... all these while, Linda salah orang... the person she thought Pak Andang was actually called 'Pak Nanang'... agent maid di Bandung - she once kept the number when she wanted to get a new maid... our colleage, Rozaiton once got a maid from this Pak Anang. Somehow, she saved Pak Nanang's number and labeled it as 'Pak Andang'. So when Linda called him to ask for supir service.... he rented a car just for this purpose. Waduh.... salah faham nih! gawat!! He wanted Linda to pay him RP500ribu which we thought was ridiculous since we did not use his car and supir service. Linda offered RP100ribu... but he refused! Dia macam marah2 lah ngan Linda... cakap nanti nak cari jugak Linda sampai jumpa. Aiyoo... suspen la pulak! Rasa macam ada stalker jer!!! :P Again... Linda decided to switch off her phone again... huhu...

Sampai Bandung malam tu around 8pm.. terus shopping di Jalan Riau! Sempat masuk a few factory outlets like For Men abd The Summit aje... Bought some nice Versace and LV shirts for hubby and FIL at For Men.. that's it! :) The girls sibuk sopping.... huhu! Si Linda sampai lupa jap problem stalker dia tu... LOL! :D

Day 3.... Okay, our last day to shop! Pagi2 lagi dah ke Pasar Baru.... bought some tudungs for everyone yang patut, cottons for my mom, MIL, bibik and Izzaty (bought the cottons at kedai tekstil Laksmi and another tekstil shop sebelah Laksmi tu... tak ingat lak namanya!) Some blouses for my sister and her bibik (and my bibik!).... to thank them sebab rajin tolong I di dapur bila ada family occasion :) And that's it!!! No more!!

Next to Toko 3. The girls wanted to buy original Levi's jeans. I did not have budget for any.... so senyap aje lah. Just bought a shirt for darling hubby here.... huhu! Next... singgah beli kerepek pisang kat Pasar Kosambi.... wahh... di sini saya champion! Beli paling banyak.... hehe! Waduhh... gawat nih.... 3.5kg utk kerepek aja!! :P

Adik jual kerepek ini sungguh kiut... dijemput kami 'mencecep' kerepek di kedainya. "Cecep tu apa ya?", kami tanya... Ohh... rupanya dia jemput kami rasa kerepek kat kedai dia tu!! Hahaha... Kami bilang kami cuma tau watak "Cecep" lakonan Anjasmara itu... terus dia bilang Anjasmara itu abang dia!! wakakaka! Lucu banget!! :D

Next... to Jalan Riau and Jalan Dago... hmm... since it was the last day to shop.. I had no choice but to hunt something for the kids! Penat lah masuk Herritage, Oasis, Grande, Secret, Happening (outlet baru!)... to name a few! Nak tercabut penat kaki nih! Jumpa la some buttons for crocs shoes tu.. kat Malaysia jual about RM10 satu.... kat situ... ranging around RM2 - RM4.... ridiculously cheap! Beli jangan tak beli! :) And shirts for Izzat and Izzaty... baju raya! That's it!! The whole day Linda just off her phone... SMS from Pak Anang a.k.a 'fake pak andang' masuk bertubi2 suruh kami datang ke rumah dia to do payment... ishh.. suspen jugak kami! Fortunately, nothing happened! That night, we had dinner at Sari Pawon (previously known as Dapur Sang Kuriang!)... nice!!! :) Delicious food!! Kenyang giler! hehe...

Last day.... last minute packing.... and to the airport. See our luggage... uwarghhhh!!!! :) Beranak pinak bag masing2 :D

On the way to the airport.. singah Kartika Sari and Amanda beli food to bring home! I only bought Amanda brownies... that's it! Kat Amanda Brownies nya kedai tu.. kengkawan sempat pekena ni....

Eskrim Durian.... they said it's very, very delicious... but I don't like durian (lupa diri sungguh! Padahal kecik2 dulu, membesar dlm dusun durian!! wakakaka! Ntah laa... tiba2 seleraku berubah! hehee)

Then straight to the airport. Suspen jugak... takut the fake Pak Andang tunggu kami di airport since he knew we would be going back today. But alhamdulillah... lepas ditemani our supir Pak Andang... selamat lah mengcheck-in :) Since I did not buy much... ingat nak sumbat everything dlm cargo - no hand luggage!)! tapi terextra pulak 1kg.... aiyoooo!! Baru nak kurangkan berat dlm bag tu to transfer dlm my hand carry... mamat air asia tu dah tarik masuk dlm cargo...arghhh!! Kena denda around RM18.....sheesh!! Benci tul!! Tak pelah kan... RM18 aje!! :( Huhu.... sejarah betul lah trip kali ni... Macam2! Tapi alhamdulillah... we arrived safely home... huhu!

Anak2.... mama kangen banget sama kamu semua!!! :)

Bandung Trip

Wow.... bulan ni makcik asyik berjaaaaaaalaaaan aje!! Macam orang kaya daaa... !! But the truth.... tuan punya poket aja yang tahu... hahaha! :)

Actually, this Bandung trip had been planned earlier with my girl friends from office... infact, tahun lepas lagi we all dah beli ticket air asia murah nih! The girls - Tda, Jun and Linda requested me to join them since I have been to Bandung before... lagi pun mmg dah kamcing kan... tak syok la kalau diorang pegi without me... muahahaha! :D

It was really, really fun!! ;) I had a greattt time with the girls!! LCCT departure waiting room pun dah cantik... compared during my Hanoi trip. Our bag masa ke Bandung tu ringan giler! (even my bibik pun terkejut how ringan the bag was!) Haha... ye lah.. dah plan nak borong barang!! Bawalah se minima yg boleh! *LOL*

We arrived at the Bandung airport around 1pm (local time) and our supir, Pak Andang waited for us at the airport. Pak Andang is such a nice guy... sporting giler.. hehe. First, we checked in at the hotel... the CASA dua Guest House. Punya lah corok location hotel ni... and so small! Alhamdulillah my room was clean.. boleh aaa.... tak leh comment byk2 sebab hotel murah kannn... :) Next... lunch at Bumbu Desa - sundanese food. Tda tak sabar2 nak cuba air es jeruk kelapa.. :) Sedap!! I like!! ;)

After lunch terus ke Pasar Baru (since Pasar Baru tutup awal).... sampai je sana... wahhhh... the girls dah tak tentu arah tenguk batik2 and telekong2 yg cantik di sana :D Cik Linda on first day dah spent RM1000+ on batik sutera only kat kedai Batik Ahmad!! Banyak betul minah ni borong batik!! Yang cantik2 sume dia dapat... tak sempat makcik nak pilih!!. (Linda cakap... "tu aa... sapa suruh lambat sangat 'start engine'!! heheh) Unfortunately, Linda's debit card tak leh guna (at first we all pun heran pesal card tu tak leh guna... tapi on 3rd day kot.. baru tahu apa complication card tu)... so I offered my credit card lah. Takut karang gigit jari lak adik sorang tu tak dapat beli batik2 yg cantik tu... ;) Other than batik.. on first day ni kami kemaruk tenguk telekong2 yg ada jual di sana. Sekarang ni trend telekong pakai french cotton... the very the nice... tapi agak nipis lah kain nya! So I decided to buy one (takut kempunan!) kat kedai Toko Laris :) Beli jugak 4 other telekongs yg kain dia tebal sket (kat kedai lain)... for my mom, MIL, Kak Eina (who's going for umrah end of next month, insyaAllah), and of coz... for yours truly- yg ni yg over nih... beli 3 kot!! kah kah! Ya iya laaa.... (slang Indon lah nih!), telekong nya enggak dibawa dari Malaysia.... pasti kena beli ya dongggg :) We jamak and qasar our dzuhur and asar at the Pasar Baru newly renovated Musollah (pakai telekong baru of cozzz! :D) and later ke Rumah Mode. Rumah Mode was as grand as I remembered. By the time sampai sini dah gelap... Maghrib time! Tapi kali ni tak banyak yg I can get laa.. ... dapat lah baju Izzat and seluar Izzaty kot.... for myself and hubby yellek! :( After Rumah Mode, kami ke Natural pulak (outlet kat sebelah Rumah Mode aje)... haaa... kat sini banyak dapat.. esp tshirts for hubby! Later ke Zennith... somewhere kat Jalan Setiabudi jugak lah.. near Rumah Mode tu.. tak ingat borong apa kat situ.. heheh. By the time we finished kat sini... dah malam and keletihan... so off to restoran padang pulak... Restaurant Simpang or something.. tak ingat... cuma ingat it's somewhere at Chimpales Road. Next.... balik hotel.... kemas barang, solat, zzzzz....

At Batik Ahmad... the salesgirl yg comel tu namanya Siska (ala2 muka Nora Danish je nampak.. cute giler Indon ni!!). When I commented that her name was like 'Bawang Merah', she answered 'Namanya aja... tapi hati serupa Bawang Putih'... cute! :D

2nd day. We left the hotel at 8am to go to Pasar Baru again (2nd time!). Kali ni jumpa pulak blouse yg dah siap with jahit sulaman which I like so much! Infact, on top of my 'must buy list' is kain sulaman yg macam tu utk buat baju! Tapi kalau ada baju yg dah siap... lagi okay! Jimat duit tempah baju ek? :) Kain dia kurang quality lah dari kain that I bought dulu... but still okay.. sebab MURAH!! :) Then temankan June beli kain lace for her nieces yg nak kawin tak lama lagi. While waiting... sempat lak beli tudung for my mom and MIL kedai hujung tu. We later went to kedai HORAS... borong kain batik serat nanas pulak!! :) Kelakar giler masa pilih memilih kain tu.... the girls and I had fun berebut2 kain idaman... kah kah! :) When we go further up kat Pasar Baru tu... jumpa lagi baju blouse yg bersulam tu.... this time better quality! and better design!! Apa lagi.. borong aaaa! Berebut2 ngan Tda! Luckily masa tu Tda and myself je yg ada... so tak la berebut with the other girls.. hik hik :) After solat at Pasar Baru... pegi makan kat Restoran Ikan Bakar Pak Che Met... yummy as per my previous visit. Glad the girls liked it too.. kalau tak sure kena kutuk sbb recommend tempat tak best! :P

Anyway, after a good lunch, we went to kedai tempe... nak cari jeruk salak for Tda. Leka tenguk orang tu goreng tempe.... looks yummy... but no thanks... perut masih penuh after lunch kat Pak Che Met tadi :)

We later went to kedai Toko 3... where they sold original jeans (so we were told!). And true enough.. all kind of jeans are sold here... and nice!! :) I bought Levi's 502 (men's cut) for myself! :) Mind you... not for hubby tau!! hahaha! Tergoda tenguk orang lain beli... makcik pun nak jugakkk!! hehe. Lepas Toko 3, we all ke Heritage.... and Cascade... then Oasis, ForMen... dan outlet2 sekitar tu.... I had fun at ForMen and Oasis. Kat Heritage.. didn't get much (to my disspoinment!).. tapi bila kat Oasis dapat beli kodroi Versace you!! wow! :) Pakat four of us beli the black kodroi! :) Then beli bag (ni kes bag beranak la ni... barang belian dah terlebih beli!! uwaaa!!). The bag is nice.. I like!! branded lagi!! :) Kat ForMen also I got Versace shirts for myself and hubby :) Very, very nice!! I tell you! :) Dah penat kat situ... ke Secret dan Merdeka pulak... haha! gila sakan shopping! :) Balik around 10pm again! Kali ni... penuh bonet Pak Andang... like this..

3rd day, again... pagi2 lagi kami ke Pasar Baru (3rd time okay!). Kali ni last... hehe. And dah tau apa nak beli.... kerepek... and later I need to change the telekung I bought (nak cari yg neater sket workmanship dia..) and later terus ke kedai atas jual baju bersulam tu! Kali ni terpaksa berebut dengan June and Linda sekali... hahaha! :D Anyway by 10am.. we left Pasar Baru to Jalan Dago. Ni pun sakan gak sopping lagi nih!! We starts at Grandie and outlet2 selorong dengannya... tapi masuk kedai ketiga... June ajak ke Rumah Mode balik... ada benda tertinggal lah tu. So okay... "Pak Andang... bawa kami ke Rumah Mode lagi!!". Puas kat Rumah Mode... ke Natural lagi... and Rumah Mode Plus pulak.... then baru ke Jalan Dago again. Sakan gila shopping!! We ate lunch at Restauran Sederhana..a Padang Restaurant. This time... Tda managed to order her jus avocado' aka 'Jus Al Pukat'??? Looks so yummy... tapi bila minum everyone terkedu... mak oiii... pekatnyaaaa!!! Tak tetolan makcik doh!!! Tapi dah order kan.. so telan aje lah masing2... kah kah! Later.. bila sambung shopping... nampak Tda macam pucat semacam aje.... then dia muntah.... quite bad... kesian member.. hehe. Tendangan jus al puket may be?? hehehe.. sorry tda... bila ingat balik mmg kelakar kan?? ;) After a while, dia okay balik... and active bersopping again :) We decided to go to Toko 3 again. This time I called hubby to get his size and preference... belikan dia Levi's 501.. and one red tab levi's for myself (again!). Wow... rasanya this trip I bought 4 seluar!! Caya lah!! :)

4th day, last day nih... so we all dah plan nicely how to spent the last hour in Bandung. Pagi2 lagi cik linda dah call Pak Andang minta tolong beli bag china tu kat Pasar Baru.... lagi beranak bag!! hahaha. Then Pak Andang sampai around 9am... we all ke Oasis... Tda nak beli another kodroi (different colour pulak)... and to ForMen... nak beli Versace shirts lagi! :) Then kami pakat nak lunch kat Kampung Daun. Wow... this place is so nice! We all makan sakan kat sini... memang dah plan.. since dah habiskan our IND rupiah.. cuma tinggal some to bayar airport taxes and exceed baguage... we wanted to pay this lunch using my credit card. Tapi bila sampai kat kaunter bayaran tu... I was told 'line off'... some more... RM not accepted!! I was like "WHAT??? how on earth are we gonna pay?? Nasi dalam perut dah jadi t*ik!!!" Panic siut!!! The other girls pulak sume ke toilet and I was left alone with the counter girl for a while. Then later.. when the girls came... baru la I managed to think... kumpulkan balance2 rupiah yg we all ada... sib baik cukup you!! Phew!!! Kalau tak... mmg tak boleh bayangkan nak pinjam pulak duit Pak Andang... or may be kena tinggal basuh pinggan?? and tertinggal our flight... uwaaaa!!!! :P Memang tak leh lupa lah peristiwa pahit nih!!! :P

Anyway, kat airport... setelah beratur lama... we found out berat bag kami terlebih 40kg!! Siut betul!! hahahaha! June champion among all.... followed by Linda, and yours truly (what?? how can?? ni sure sebab bag aku berat... mana logic tda nya bag lagi ringan dari aku!!).. and lastly Tda. Terpaksa lah bayar all those in RM.... rupiah nya sudah abis kat restoran tadi laa.... :P

Alhamdulillah.... we all akhirnya selamat sampai ke Malaysia..... :) We really had fun!! Nak pegi lagi sama2... of coz.. :) InsyaAllah... kalau diizin Allah s.w.t :)

Bangkok & Bandung Trip

Boy! It's been a long time since I last contribute anything in this blog!! So many things happened for the past few months. Hmm... where should I start first??

Hmmm...Where have I been for the past few month? That's an intersting topic! I went to Bangkok in June with Hubby and Zamri, my youngest bro in law. It was fun!! We had a great time shopping! I bought a few thai silk for myself and a few shirts for the kids.... I had a greattttt time in Bangkok and I especially love the Floating Market.

In August... on my b'day to be exact!!.... we went to Bandung.. the whole bunch of us - the kids, my mother, my mom in law and my maid also tagged along! :) That was another shopping spree trip!! We had a greaaaaaatttt time shopping!! BIG TIME!!! :) So now the kids have their baju raya and kasut raya ready!! All imported from Bandung :)

Education wise... the kids are doing quite well. In the mid year exam, Izzaty managed to maintain 1st position in class, whilst Izzat got 8th in class. Izzaty also managed to upgrade herself to be a GOLD student in Kumon whilst Izzat is now suprisingly doing quite well as SILVER student.
I had difficulties to decide wheater to register Izzat in Year 1 primary school next year. But finally, I decided to close all ears and determined to register him. I have also registered Izzat to do English in Kumon.

Last weekend, hubby and I went to Matta Fair.... and booked ourselves a package to Russia... wow, I still can't believe that I'm going to Russia this coming November! What am I going to wear?? It's bloody cold over there in November!!! Anyway, for now I think I'd like to focus on the kids first.... their final exams are approching... Ya Allah, please guide me... I really hope the kids would do well in this coming final exams.
