Lunch with TKC8387 sisters

Had a good lunch (and lotsa laugh - as usual) with my TKC8387 sisters this afternoon.

Except foe Noon, everybody gather at Menara Maybank before we walk to Restoran Ayam Kampung Bandairya.

Just the 6 of us today - Tinz, yours truly, Wewe, Noon, Has and Hani O.

On the way back, kalau ada Tinz... wajib bergambar with Maybank (building or signboard lambang Maybank pun jadi la! 😂)

My good friend, Aniza Masbah or fondly known as I.Z is moving to Sri Iskandar this coming Saturday. The original plan was for us to meet at the new Secret Receipt outlet in Bukit Sentosa today... But since I have guests at home, we changed plan and I invited her over to my place instead. 

 

She gave me the crochet sunflower 🌻 bookmark.  She crocheted it herself... awwww so sweet of you girlfren 💝

And I gave her the blue house Asterix TKC teddy.

Sorry I.Z, I know you wanted the green house bear but that's the last one left for you ❤️️

Well.... Good luck at your new place I.Z.  I am soooo gonna miss you when you leave for Sri Iskandar babe. May our path cross again one day 🌸

Visiting IZ

Nani and her son, Syakir came to my house yesterday to deliver probably about 2kgs of Ajwa Kurma from Madinah. They were not for me but for our dear friend, I.Z. If you read my previous post you would already know that I.Z was diagnosed with cancer stage 3 and has just finished her chemo therapy and will be continuing with radiotherapy soon.

I.Z has been practising eating 7 pieces of ajwa kurma on daily basis... And it was so sweet of Nani to remember this fact and ordered the kurma with her sis, Kak Yang who went to umrah recently. This is why I LOVE my TKC sisters tau... They are so suwittt!!! ❤️

Anyway, today, I went to visit I.Z. My previous visit was just a touch-and-go stop... Also to drop ajwa kurma that I bought for her for her chemo therapy supplement ;) Could not stay long then as she was still week under the chemo effect. Now that she was done with chemo... Boleh la lepak2 sat borak with her. She looks good and strong, alhamdulillah. So positive and strong this brave lady! Really, really admire her spirit!!

Pean's eldest's wedding

Among my TKC sisters, Farehan @ Pean was among the first got hitched :) So it wasn't really a surprise right when she was the first who got 'menantu' in our batch :) Last weekend we were invited to Pean's daughter's wedding... and of course it turned out as another 'gathering' for our batch :D

Well, congrats to Pean and Lutfi dapat menantu :) And to the bride and groom - Alia and Fikri, congratulations... semoga bahagia hingga ke Jannah ;)

OGA Day 2016

I've never missed going to OGA days for the past few years (especially when Izzaty is in TKC). I've always looked forward to it every year cause it's the day when I'd feel 17 all over again (oh super perasan! Lol!) and everyone younger than me supposed to call me 'kakak' instead of the usual 'aunty'... Hehe! Perasan-muda mode activated! Lol! But the Asterix girls would still call me Aunty despite the special day.... Huhu... They are so used with 'Aunty Runi'... Mana la boleh tukar to 'Kak Runi' kan... hehe.

Registration counter - old girls were to register at their 'old house' and the house will get point when their old girls registered. Siti Zawiah is my house - dulu, kini dan selamanya ❤️

This year is the last OGA Day for Izzaty as student. Next year onwards, she'll come as 'kakak OG' :D And for me, this year OGA Day was super special as I joined the Asterix family to sell some F&B and other stuff  to raise fund for the Asterix graduation night :)

We sold cendol (the famous cendol songkok tinggi from Kg Jiboi, Seremban!), ice blended (the gals made water melon ice blended added with lychee which tasted heavenly on this hot weather!), keropok lekor, cheezy wedges, cheezy fries, meatballs, fried chickens, cream puffs, some sushi food, some fruits, Kurshiah tshirts, ect, ect. The Asterix gals also have a photo booth set up especially for this OGA Day. Somw of these items were fully sponsored by Asterix mommies and some were the girls' initiative.

There were lotsa activities during the OGA day this year. Early in the morning, we have chess competition, treasure hunt (not sure which house won it) and cheering competition (Tun Fatimah girls won the competition). 

Kak Ayush, the multi talented gynea was our outdoor MC for the day...

Later in the hall, there were dancing competion ( Selendang Delima won the traditional dance and Tun Fatimah won the modern dance). OGA had also launched the 'TKC Go Green' competition where the house captain were given RM500 each to do whatever they want for the 'Green' project. There was also a few performance by the Old Girls.

Our Asterix girls made a special performance especially dedicated to all mommies (it was also a Mothers Day weekend) - Arina read a beautiful poem for mommies and my girl, Izzaty played a beautiful song with her flute to accompany Arina's poem reading.

Towards the end of the poem reading, suddenly all the Asterix girls entered the hall from all angles (some even from behind the stage) surprising the audience by giving flowers to some 'lucky' mommies in the hall.

 I was one of those lucky mom. Obviously it wasn't my own daughter who gave the flower (Izzaty was still on the stage playing flute)... It was Umairah. I could not help hugging her after receiving the rose... It was super sweet of her and I was sooo touched! Thank you Umai!! Sayang Umai ketat2! ;))

And saving the best for last, was of course the performance by our TKWO! ❤️

Am SUPER proud of these girls!!! You guys made us sooo proud by bringing back the beautiful music to live! 

Bangkit semula TKWO! Return back the glory of TKWO!! Okay... Mak dah terlebih semangat sudah... :D

It was really an exciting day for everyone - the students and the old girls ;) Kudos to the OGA comm for the good job done on organizing such exciting event!

And guess what? The Asterix girls collected about RM10K (including from their  previous collection) Am so proud of our hardworking entrepreneur Asterix girls!! ❤️

A Black and Silver night

 Last Saturday, I dressed myself in the sleekiest black dress I have (yeah right, I actually only have one black dress or rather jubah lol!) and the shimmerest silver tudung I have (not so shimmering laaa but I bought that tudung esp for this event!) to attend TKC OGA Biennial Dinner 2016. 

Ada Abang Nuar you all!! I was so excited! ❤️

Was ready by 5.15pm - siap makeup artist to makeup me Lol! Had to attend a short briefing for registration procedure and by 6pm, the registration counter was ready to welcome the old girls for this event ;)

8 of us bunked in 2 attached rooms in Shangrila Hotel - yours truly, Wewe, Germ, Finaz, Shah, Has, Rinnie and GG.... Seronok banget!!! ❤️ Talked and laughed till 3am. 2 single beds occupied by 5 of us (the other 3, plus wewe's daughter Elsa using the queen bed of the other room) - just like dorm life in TKC years ago... Cuma katil lebih comfy hahaha! I didn't realize how much I miss high school until I'm surrounded by these junkies hehe. Put us together and somehow, suddenly - it's high school all over again! :D
