Marhaban Ya Ramadhan! ;)

Wishing my Moslem friends all over the globe a very blessed Ramadhan ;) syukur alhamdulillah, we were given the chance to meet another Ramadhan and hoping this Ramadhan, our amalan will be better than the previous years, insyaAllah.

I'd like to take this opportunity to ask everyone for forgiveness for any wrong doings whether it was intentionally or unintentionally done on my part. Maaf zahir dan batin ya... Sincerely from the bottom of my heart. 

May Allah gives us strength and taufiq to perform the recommended acts on this holy month  of Ramadhan ;))

P/s: This Ramadhan is special for Izzat as for the first time ever in his life, he has to perform the terawih prayer ;) Alhamdulillah... This is one of the reasons that I felt asrama life is better for him for his own good. If he was at home, I doubt that he'd perform the terawih prayer... Huhu. Syukur alhamdulillah Ya Allah... I am blessed ;))

Exam fever-Org tua version! :D

Attended the Certified Testing Foundation Level (CTFL) class at Grand Season Hotel this week. And the exam on Friday at Prince Hotel. Duh... It's been yearsssss since I last sat for an exam :P

Kena lulus ini exam lor... Otherwise I have to re-sit and pay with my own money :P Or... Kena campak kluar from my current department :P My boss said all of us must get the certification before end of this year... Hoho :P

The book is quite thick... One week to absorb all!!! Stress stress!!

This is it... The exam day!!

Outside the hall, my collegue Fong doing last minute study... 

Lega exam dah over. 2 nights before the exam, my southern girl called from KPJ Seremban telling me that she hurt her knee during standard taking doing high jump. Adoii... Again!!! Ada jer lah... Hilang mood mak nak study :(( She got 5 days MC and asked if I can fetch her to go home. Sorry babeh... Mama ada exam the next day. Ayah was outstation. So just stay another night please. Aunty Ila will fetch u on Friday eve for the OB. Thank you soooo much Ila for fetching my girl for OB! You are a gem!!! ;))) Phew.... Macam2 kan... Am just glad the exam is over. Now, tawakal jer la tunggu result -_-

Wind Orchestra Finale 2014

It has been a super busy week for me. With TQC road show coming soon at the office, and finale Wind Orchestra in the weekend - yours truly as wakil WO sarana ibubapa was given some duty as well... huhu. My Northern boy came back on Thursday night... yeay!! His school is used for the MRSM sukan olahraga event and those not involved in the event are allowed to go home. I stayed at my aunty's place until 10:30pm and later went to Jalan Duta Bus Stand to fetch him. His bus arrived around 11pm... alhamdulillah :) Friday, I took leaves.... bermanja2 dengan my boy in the morning... heee :D By 1pm, I had to be at Intekma Resort Shah Alam to help the TKWO girls to get ready for their pre-concert show. In fact, for 2 days in a row... a few parents and I had to help the girls to get ready for their show.... huhu.

This is my first year volunteering for this prestige event. Whoaaa.... macam2 hal la girls ni. Tertinggal tudung lah, baju tak cukup lah... ect, ect! OMG... I cannot imagine if I were to handle all these alone without Kak Hekmat who is retiring this year :(( Kak Hekmat was really great.... she handled everything efficiently. She went to jackel to buy kain and went straight to tailor to get the tudung ready... *tabik lah!*. 2 hours before the pre-concert... one girl found out she brought the wrong tudung... same colour but wrong tudung! Nasib baik la Kak Hekmat buat extra tudung.... Phew! Another girl came saying 'baju bawak...skirt pulak tertinggal'... What??! We don't have extra   skirts! Nak jadi cerita, on that day Kak Hekmat was wearing a black skirt yg jadi sample buat skirt the girls... So she literally, tukar her skirt with the girl's black pants... Huhuuu! Really... macam2 hal!! -_-

Now, let's go to the pre concert first...

Saturday was the BIG day. I was instructed to go to Dewan Agung Tuanku Cancelor UiTM by 1pm. Since Hubby do not want to wait long, he sent me first.. so by 12:15pm, I was already there... huhu.

Helped Kak Hekmat to distribute tickets to parents... 

By 1:30pm... helped the girls getting ready for the concert. Thanks god a few parents volunteered to help!

As you can see, most of the schools that made it to the finals are all-boys schools :)) TKC is the only all-girls school and SMACH is a wakil tunggal for coed school and sekolah sains :) From yesterday pre-concert, we could sensed tight competition between all the finalists.... semuanya hebat2 I tell you!!! Kecut perut jugak lah nak tau result.... haha!

SAS was the first on stage. As expected, they performed really, really well!

2nd performance by SDAR. A very impressive performance. The conductor was very good!

TKC came next. They did very, very well... phew, alhamdulillah!

SMACH did really, really great! Like a real philharmonic orchestra dah dengar! huhuu....

All schools played 2 songs - a malay song and an english song. They were given 15 mins to perform on stage. All performed their best and hard for the audience to decide.... so tunggu jer lah professional judges decide ya... haha.

So that means... TKC won the 3rd place.... huhu!

Alhamdulillah. 3rd place is better than nothing rite? Kami tetap bersyukur.... huhu.

Best conductor went to the SDAR.... dah agak dah :))

CONGRATULATIONS TKWO! You all did great! 

Tahun depan boleh cuba lagi... insyaAllah...

Psstt... dengarnya TK WO akan ke Australia end of this year. Dah ada sponsor dengarnya. Wahhh... kalau jadi seronok lah mereka ya. Untung sungguh anak2 sekarang... zaman kita dulu, jangan mimpi le nak ke luar negara kan... dapat keluar dari Seremban naik bas ramai2 ke KL pun dah happy abis :D

Sarana ibubapa

I was unofficially nominated to be wakil sarana ibubapa for Asterix WO girls :P  Not only that... Ever since Kak Hekmat approached me to help her on WO band camp thingy, I have been actively involved in WO sarana ibubapa activities. 

In case you guys do not know what 'sarana ibubapa' means.. 

" (Segala) sesuatu yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat dan sebagainya untuk mencapai atau melaksanakan sesuatu."

Last Sunday, yours truly and a few parents had came over to help Kak Hekmat with the new WO uniforms. 

Baju ala2 jubah designed by Kak Hekmat herself... The girls like it! At the sleeves of the baju, they used material lace manik... Cantik! Tapi the manik berterabur bila kain tu dipotong jadi baju... So tugas mommies on that day was to lekatkan the beads so that tak la berterabur...

The beads yg need to be sewed supaya x berterabur...

Went home that evening with a big plastic bags filled with 10 of the WO new uniforms... Alhamdulillah... Malam ni dah selesai siapkan 9... 1 lagi I passed to Ila who volunteered to help ;)

Keep up the high spirit mommies! May the girls win in the finale this weekend! Ameen... ;)

Warden On Duty -_-

Remember I wrote in my previous post on how Kak Hekmat slow-talked me on volunteering to lead the WO parents and look for other volunteers to be a warden? Oh yes.... alhamdulillah, I managed to do it!! ;) Not easy, but I did it... haha! :D You know lah.. some parents can be sooo kepoh kan. Haha.. macam2 hal. But alhamdulillah... the 6 of us - Yours Truly, Tasha (my TKC8387 friend), Has (another TKC8387 friend), Kak Yati, Prof Siti Hawa, Kak Hani and Ila (a good friend of mine - bless her for volunteering at the very last minute!) did it!!

The band girls checked in at kolej on 12th June. Tasha pembuka tirai... the first warden on duty from 12pm to 4pm (supposed to be until 6pm.. but Dr Tasha had to be on duty at her clinic at 5pm... so I relieved her at 4pm). The school was so busy on that day. There was an event - The World Scholar's Cup happening at TKC, so there were peoples everywhere... boys, girls, mat salleh, chinese... all races lah! This is an international event kan... so sedikit kecoh lah. But alhamdulillah the band girls managed to settle down nicely despite the kekecohan... huhu!

My duty started at 4pm on the first day. It was a pretty hot day and this warden cannot tahan the warm weather and decided to stay in door while the WO gals were busy practicing.

Nahh.. I didn't stay in the pejabat warden... Too boring haha!

Not really a 5 star hotel... but Ok la kan... Quite comfy... ;)

Sunyi sepi... All the gals are at the hall practicing. While they were practicing, I checked their dorms... Making sure everyone was in the hall practicing and all the lights in their dorms and common rooms were off. There was a girl staying in  a dorm... when I asked her why was she not practicing.. she told me she is not in the band but was a debater who stayed on after the Scholar World event. Her flight home is tomorrow, so she was staying together with the band girls for one one. Oh okay... so I made her lock the dorm while she was alone in the building :)

Let's go to the hall and listen to them practicing with En Rejab...

 

These girls are really talented! En Rejab did a great job polishing their talent!

Their practice ended around 11:30pm. 

Supper was on me :)) Roti bun and air kotak for everyone! ;) I ordered 70 roti bun from Menara Maybank's laman this morning and picked them up before leaving the office at 1pm :) Thanks god the girls entertained my very last minute request this morning... phew! Kalau tak.... no supper for the girls... kesian la pulak kan... huhu!

Back in their dorms. I just checked to make sure the entrance doors were locked and everyone was safe in their dorms ;)) Alhamdulillah, tiada kejadian yang tidak diingini berlaku... Phew!!! ;))

The next morning, the girls went for moning jog and did some light exercises before breakfast...

Menu for breakfast that morning was fried mihun and cekodok pisang goreng... Food was prepared by the canteen staff and sponsored by PIBG... Alhamdulillah...

My warden duty ended at 8am and my good ol fren, Lady Has took over my duty after that...

With Has.. (notice my muka-tak-cukup-tidur face?? :P)

Stayed with Has for a while before headed to my office at around 9:30am. I was on 1/2 day leaves in the morning so no rush lah. On the way to the office, punya la x tahan ngantuk, I had to stoped at the RnR for a while foe a quick nap... Serious x tahan ngantuk and penat! So tido jap... zzzz...

Reported duty at around 11am. Alhamdulillah... Tired but happy dapat menjalankan tugas dalam aktiviti sarana ibubapa... 

Never in my life that I'd imagine that one day I'd be a TKC warden... Lol! :D
