Lunch date with Fid and Mieza

A few days ago, my junior during UMKC days, Fid messaged me to tell that she is in Malaysia. Fid and her family are currently based in UAE. A few years back, they were in Doha and I got the chance to visit them on my way to Russia. I was so excited to meet her again. So we planned to meet today at Restoran Bandariya (Fid said she missed the ayam kampung here! This used to be her fav restaurant when she was working in KL). I was so excited to meet her again.... rindu kot lama tak jumpa haha!

This morning, I decided not take heavy breakfast and ate this instead...

Overnight oat (or rather muesli) with yogurt, milk, strawberry and blue berry...yummey!!

Gigih prepare malam tadi... haha!

Am so into this nowadays... healthy and quite delicious ;)

A great day in Seremban

I took 4 days leaves on 14th to 17th December, just to be a driver for Izzaty and her friends to attend a Chemistry Camp in Bandar Rawang. The girls loved the camp! The teacher is a SBPi Rawang Chemistry teacher and she is really good! :)

Anyway, boring la jugak 4 hari lepak kat rumah. First 2 days were okay... masuk 3rd day dah bosan. Then in the 'Group Sembang Tepi Tingkap' wassap group (this group is another Asterix mommies group tapi cuma utk Negorians only... and ahlinya cuma Ida Karim (mom to Nurin Miza), Kak Huda (mom to Maryam - oso my Kurshian senior), Ct Zaleha (mom to Mija) and lastly yours truly. Memang sembang nogoghi yo dalam group ni... tak pek oghang lain join doh... haha!).... Kak Huda la pencetus idea ni...

So begitu lah asalnya idea ni. FYI, Ida ni so mmg pandai masak! And before this, she had invited Ct and Kak Huda for lunch and yours truly hanya terrrliurrrrr jer lah tenguk gambar2 depa makan sampai menjilat jari bagai.... siap tag I lagi!! ish ish... mmg tak aci la kan! That was why Kak Huda recommended Ida invited me over to her place when I announced I cuti 4 hari ni. Mak pun apa lagi.... kecik tapak tangan, satu tempayan ku tadahkan! hahaha! Best la kan dapat makan free... kih kih :D

So on 17th Dec, after sending the girls (Atikah, Ila's daughter slept at my place throughout the chem camp and I also volunteered to fetch 2 girls - Alia & Iman) and a SDAR boy, Faris, son to my good tkc friend, Has, from KTM station to attend the chem camp.... I drove straight to Seremban. Woohooo.... was soooo excited as it has been sooooo long since I last been in Seremban! 

Did not realize how I missed Seremban! Seriously tau!

Parked my car at Parkson Seremban and waited for my BFF, Mimi to fetch me for breakfast.... yeay!

Breakfast date with my childhood SRKDian friends, lunch with Asterix mommies... best kan!! :)) Today, diet ke laut laaa.... haha!

Tu diaaaaa.... banyaknya makanan... hebat tau si Ida ni masak!!! Masakan kampung! Yang hebat skali dia masukkan bunga2 dlm masakan dia. Ada bunga Turi dalam masakan udang masak lemak. Telur dadar tu ada Bunga Telang pulak. Yours truly, mmg ambil peluang la kan makan bunga2an dalam masakan tu :)) Was told banyak khasiatnya... esp utk kesihatan (sila google ya kalau nak tau khasiatnya tu!)

At Ida's garden. Bukan saja bebakat di dapur, gardening pun berbakat! So many flowers and herbs in her garden.

Leka berborak... nak undur diri pun asyik kena tahan dek Ct yang sibuk ajak selfie and bergambar! I ended up leaving Ida's place a few mins after 4 and I had to be in Rawang to fetch the girls (and a boy) by 5.30pm. Apa lagi... speeding tak hingat la balik Rawang! huhu!

What a day! Trip to Seremban was the ultimate of my 4-days-leaves :D
Today, I am back at work.
Must go to Expose Class after all the calories I ate in Seremban yesterday :D

Farhan and Mai is engaged!

My eldest nephew, my eldest sis' eldest son (berapa banyak eldest daaa...) Adi Farhan got engaged on 5th of December. All my sisters, my brother and I (except for Ruby who could not make it as her daughter Nadiya is in the hospital) went to Kuala Kelawang, Jelebu for this special occasion.

That morning, all of us traveled separately. Along told us to use the Lekas, but somehow waze led us to a different route - via Hulu Langat. I was panicked!! Ingatkan sesat ke apa! Masuk hutan, the road was so quiet, not many cars... we even crossed over at least 2 kampung orang asli! But thanks god... kami selamat sampai di Kuala Klawang... and what do you know... all 5 cars arrived about at the same time! :D

Thanks God!! Bila nampak jer signboard "SELAMAT DATANG KE JELEBU" ni... mmg lega giler! :D

So yeah, no-toll-route! Jimat la duit sket haha. Tapi jalan ke sana masyaAllah... macam ular kena palu! And we can't drive fast as we have this cake in the car and we were worried if anything to happen to it -_-

What's so unforgettable about this event was, it was my brother's first attempt to be the 'spokeman' for our family. Thank you Angah! You did great as a first timer! :) So proud of you Ngah!

The best of colleagues!

Today, I went for lunch with my old colleagues from Mayban Finance ❤️

Our lunch venue : sebuah warung di Jalan Tun Perak, opposite Menara Maybank basement 2 parking entry, behind Lin Ho.. Hehe. Tak tau la apa nama warung tu haha.

Sekali sekala berkumpul jumpa kawan lama mmg best! Afterall, these people and I shared lots of sweet memories during our years serving Mayban Finance Berhad.

JJCM KB

My trip to Kota Bharu (KB) was really short but full with aktiviti2 makan :D

Right after Chuk's wedding, we checked in at Rayyan Guest House studio apartment. And after zuhur + asar jamak and qasar prayers, I was kidnapped by my good old friend, Dr Shimah for a tea break :D
We went to Selera Cik Siti. Another old friend, Intan @ Isaura Haslina waited for us there :)

Have not met Shim since 1990 kot... and Intan, I have not met since SPM!! :D

Memandangkan masing2 masih kenyang... so we only ordered these...

While we were busy eating, one of the restaurant staff tegur 'Akak bawa kereta Inspira ke? Kereta akak kena pecah!'. Kesian Shim... kereta dia parked kat tepi jalan which is bit sunyi kot... kena pecah. Ada 2 bags were taken from the car... one bag was full with office documents and another one keropok2 that she bought for me (awww... you are too sweet Shim! Love you!!). Intan and I were a bit panicky... tapi Shim cool jer... 'kereta gomen... bukan kereta I', katanya. Nasib baik nothing valueable in those bags... but still! Thanks god, a few days later, Shim messaged us telling she got the bags back! Nothing missing from those bags including the keropoks! Alhamdulillah.... 

Later, while Shim had to go to KB police station, Intan sent me to Rayyan Guest House. Apparently, she also have a studio apartment in the same building as Rayyan Guest House. I followed her to the studio apartment - everything was just the same - the beds, the coffee tables, ect. Intan told me it's a package. A few of her friends also bought one apartment in the same building for investment purpose. I thought it was really worth it! So guys, those who want a good accommodation in KB, call Intan at 012-988-8523 :)

That night, Mr Hubby and I had dinner here... 

Located at Jalan Long Yunus, KB, this place is so famous of their ayam percik and nasi kerabu.

Lotsa Kelantanese delight sold here... 

What's so special about this restaurant is, the ayam and ikan dibakar using arang kayu and their sos percik are de bomb!! Memang sedap!!!

We also bought some 3quarter trackbottom and faked jerseys for Izzat.

Located at Jalan Sultanah Zainab, just a few meters from Muhammadi Mosque, this restaurant is so retro! Quite classic and very famous in KB. 

Was told  it has been here since in the 60s! Wow!

Restoran Kopitiam Kita..

Located at Taman Desa Jaya, Jalan Pengkalan Chepa in KB, this restaurant is apparently quite famous.

Ohhh... by the way it happened to be Mr Hubby's birthday!! Celebrate kat Restoran Kopitiam Kita! haha :D

As expected, the restaurant was full house! Lots of people, but we were lucky to get a table...

What fascinate me at this shop is, it has a wall of fame where they put pictures of famous people who came and eat at their restaurant. From far, I can see Maybank's Puan Nora and Dato' Farid's pics on the wall. So, I went to the wall to take this pic...

And to my delight, I noticed a friend picture, my batchmate in TKC, Dr Roszalina Ramli,  Mouth & Maxillofacial Surgery specialist! Wahhh... tumpang bangga Roza!!! You are sooo famous now my friend!!

Hey look... it's Dr Aniza in this billboard in front of Pasar Siti Khadijah (the one wearing doctor coat). 

May be you guys noticed the same billboard along the PLUS highway (I saw one in Sg Buloh and one more on my way north!)... but again, the tulisan jawi on the billboard made it extra special :D

We bought one male batik shirt for FIL and one batik blouse for Izzaty.

Went straight to the airport after shopping in Pasar Khadijah...

Good Bye Kota Bharu! Definitely gonna come again! Tak puas jalan2 cari makan di sini... huhu.
