Izzaty's SKBB Anugerah Pelajar Cemerlang 1996

My schedule this week was full with the kids' activities. Went to Izzaty's 'Anugerah Pelajar Cemerlang' and my heart nearly burst with pride to hear my daughter's name being announce to receive her present. She got first place in her class and in the whole primary one classes... Alhamdulillah. I thank Allah soooo muccch for the beautiful gift! :) Way to go girl!! I am soooo proud of you!!
The next day I went to pick up her Kafaith result... I already knew her marks dropped in the final exam since she did not study for the Kafaith exam.. but alhamdulillah... it was not that bad.. she got 4th place in her class... alhamdulillah.
Izzat got 5th place in his class.... though the position dropped a bit.. but alhamduilllah, I am quite satisfied with his performance :) Went for his concert last Saturday night.... quite entertaining to watch the kids in action :)
Hubby has gone to Japan on Saturday night.. the good news is... the 3 of us would probably be joining him tomorrow night.. (if our VISA processing goes well, insyaAllah). The kids are very, very excited about this trip especially Izzaty. This is like a present for Izzaty for doing very well in her final exam. I pray that she will do better and better.... Aamin.

Aidil Fitri 2006 @ Pilah - an unforgetable one!!

We had a great raya.. Alhamdulillah! At first, everyone was hesitated to go back to Kuala Pilah since the house was quite in a bad shape.... but we could see that Mak was upset with the idea of not going back to our old house... so we all agreed to proceed with the idea of celebrating Raya at Kuala Pilah.

Along went back first on Sunday morning. As mentioned earlier, the house was in a very pretty bad shape... Along SMSed me to inform that they had to stay in the dark since something was wrong with the electricity wiring. Getting someone to repair the wiring was not easy since the Malay electricians were busy preparing for Raya and the Indian electricians were busy Deepavali'ing... luckily they managed to find a Chinese electrician.... thanks god! The house was finally bright again after 11pm.

We left Bkt Beruntung at around 4am (after sahur) and reached Kuala Pilah at around 8am. Mak was really excited to see us.... (Ahh... I missed the moment when we reached kampung and both mak and ayah would welcomed us with happy faces... and I would go direct to our kitchen to see what's on the table..... really miss those beautiful days... *sob!*). Along and his sons were still asleep when I reached there so we decided to make the move to clean up the house.... alhamdulillah, the house looked much, much better later... and any doubts of living in the old house was put aside :) We were quite happy with the result :) The best surprise was when Na & family came home.... (she never celebrated 1st raya in Pilah after she got married). Everyone was happy... and we could see the excitement in Mak's face to see Na and family.... what a moment to remember!! :) Angah and family came back later... but they rented a room in one of the nearest hotel.

We woke up very early to visit ayah's kubur.... alhamdulillah.... I managed to be there this year for Yaasin reading.... (we missed you soooooooooo much ayah! wished you were here... *sob*). DikMa and family reached kampung just before we leave for the mosque for Eid Fitri sunat prayer. Mak, Along (with bang long and sons - except Daniel), Na & hubby, Dikma and hubby and myself and hubby all went to the mosque... It's one of the most unforgetable raya... since everyone was there (except for Ruby). Later we visited Wan Induk's house, PakLong Eno's house and PakTeh's house before leaving Kuala Pilah for Melaka.

In Melaka... everyone was there.... another happy gathering! :) Next year, Kak Eina & family and Zamri won't be celebrating Raya with us since Kak Eina and kids would be joining Abg Kamali who is working in Dublin and Zamri would be furthering his studies in dentistry in England.... :( Meanwhile, we had a great time this year!!!

Our 9th year annivesary get-away trip.

Our 9th anniversary trip to Bali was amazingly romantic!! :) We booked a room at Ubud Village Hotel via the internet but when we reached there, we were told that our room has been upgraded and we were sent to Ubud Village Resort.... which was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too coooolll!! :) The room was a luxury!! It was awesome! We have our own garden, pool and an open-air-bathtub.... it was so cool! We actually considered to rent this room but the it was way too expensive for our budget... and it was such a surprise to find out that we were actually staying in THAT room!! OMG!!!!! It was awesome!! SubhanAllah!! :)

It was like a dream come true! Since this is our 2nd trip to Bali... we didn't plan on going to many places... instead we decided to relax more and enjoy the Ubud town which was the place we were staying. But at last minute plan, we decided to book a package to Jogjakarta to visit Borobodur... Had to wake up early at 3am - perform solat Subuh at the Ngurah Rai airport and caught a flight at 6am. After spending the whole day visiting Jogjakarta, we returned to our resort at around 12pm... phew, tiring but interesting! But the good news was... the next day, we booked ourselves a spa treatment package and had fun 'manja'ing our exhausted bodies with the famous Baliness massage... :) *Bliss*

Later for our extended stay... we were transfered to Ubud Village Hotel for our last night in Bali. The room was not as fantastic as the one in the resort... but still nice:) For the last 24 hours in Bali, we rent a motorbike and enjoy ourselves enjoying the fantastic scenary in Bali on the motorbike :) In short, it was an amazing experience!! Alhamdulillah... I thank Allah for giving us the chance and enough rezeki... to enjoy such a wonderful experience :)

Our 'upgraded' room at Ubud Village Resort...Such a romantic place to be! :)

Our private pool... wah so the mewah!!! Fall in love with this place!:D

The 'open air' bathtub... it was cool.. I tell ya!!! Felt like I'm in heaven... huhu!

At the Ubud Village Resort's Angkul Restaurant - surrounded by padi field - beautiful scenary!

At Bedugul : Ulundanu Temple. Very, very beautiful!!!

At Tanah Lot - Hubby with our friendly local tour guide, Pak Sana

One day in JOGJAKARTA! The 2 of us at the historical Borobodur.

The top-most chedi of Borobodur, surrounded by the smaller latticed chedis

The signboard shows photos of Prambanan Cendi @ Jogjakarta 'before' and 'after' the earthquake.

Sunset @ Prambanan - One of the towers macam condong sket... after the earthquake.

Back in Bali!! Rent a bike in Ubud. Ronda2 naik motor sampai gelap badan! Surveying the Balinese stone carving.. quite cheap!

The Ubud market - I just love this place.. lots and lots of beautiful things to shop.. at a very reasonable price too!

Thinking of Bali...

Hmm.... I am excited about not going to work for 6 days... but at the same time, I am not looking forward to leave the kids behind during our trip to Bali. Hubby is quite used to leaving the kids behind since he traveled a lot on business... but I don't. Anyways, Bali here we come!! It's our 9th anniversary coming soon next week. This would be our 2nd trip to Bali actually. We had been to Bali back in year 2000 on our 3rd anniversary. We brought Izzaty and my mom along during our previous trip... but this time around... it's just the 2 of us. Sounds romantic.... and in a way, I am looking forward to it.... just hope it won't be a boring trip since it's raining season nowadays and I definitely do not want to be trapped in our hotel room. I've bought a new chiclit book with me... so IF we happened to have free time... at least I can read the book :)
But I definitely will miss the kids.... :(

Customer Retention program restriction

Am still busy with the Customer Retention Project... but due to some programming restriction, I am stuck.... the spec writer is not around... meaning I am free until further enhancement on the spec :)
Izzaty got 3rd place in the KAFA exam.... alhamdulillah :)

Hubby and I will be going to Bali for our 9th anniversary.. yeay!! I am quite hesitant to leave the kids behind (again!) but the thought of relaxing... all by ourselves.... in Bali.... is definitely heaven! *grin* :)

Yaya's new born baby and En Hussin's progress

Been very2 busy lately. Mr ZAR (my newly promoted boss) just assigned me this new assignment and the dateline is a month from the assigned date.... so busy, busy, busy! :p

Anyway, I spent so much time on the dialog programming... I even worked on the National Day public holiday! *sigh!* Since I don't have much experience in dialogs before... I find it quite interesting. It's something challenging that even Da (our dialog 'sifu') admitted she hasn't done this type of method before. But thanks to her and Masrul... I managed to do it.. :) Though it's not 100% done.. infact, I not even half way... for me it is quite a big accomplishment that I'm proud of... alhamdulillah :) Now that the basic things has been accomplished... hopefully the rest would be easier....

Yaya gave birth to another baby girl last night... So Tda & I took an effort to go to Ampang Puteri with Tonet and Kak Sal to visit her... her baby girl so sooo cuteee!!! Chubby rosy cheeks, blondish hair and all..... she looks so like Yaya... :) I took lots of pics of the baby.. :)

Introducing Yaya's baby - Edline Naurah

Later, we visited En Husin who's also in Ampang Puteri... but not ICU anymore. He's doing much better but he looked really different now that he lost his front teeth during the accident. At least he can talk now... his breathing looks more stable.. but he definitely is thinner.... He told us that his legs still could not be moved. His ribs can't be fixed...but still... alhamdulillah... he can talk now... I pray that he will get better and stronger in the near future... and hopefully he'll be a better moslem... Please Allah give him a 2nd chance...

Sign report card sendiri??

Izzaty got 1st place in her KAFA test.. Alhamdulillah. She excitedly told me about the good news when I came back from work. She also told me that she got her report card and has already signed it on her daddy's behalf.... WHATTT?? I was a bit surprised that she would do that... and true enough... the report card was signed... with her childish-like version of daddy's signature - quite original.. but still childish-like. Hubby lectured her on honesty and how wrong it was to do that. Hopefully she learned her lesson.

Today, she has agama and english test. I can only pray that she would do well. She told me that she got 95% in her maths test which is quite frustrating to me considering she is an excellent student in Kumon. Her friend beat her in the maths test by getting 99%. Oh dear... I am becoming a KIASU parent nowadays.. hehe! Anyway, I should be thankful I guess... at least this is just a test... not a final exam! And 95% is not that bad eh.... huhu!

Visiting En Hussin @ Ampang Puteri

I finally got the chance to visit En Hussin who was in ICU, Ampang Puteri two days ago. I was a bit surprised when I first saw him (Michelle and friends visited him last Friday and informed us that En Hussin is recovering quite well. He even joked with them during their visit)... on that day, he looked very week and I could see that he was having difficulties to breath. His face looked swollen. He was trying to sleep when we visited him.. but he opened his eyes when I stood beside his bed. He tried to say something to me.. but I asked him just to rest - do not want him to overdo things and later might affect his health. I pray that he will get well very soon... it's very sad to see him like that cause I know he used to be a very jovial person.. :(

End of AF3 fever!

There was a kenduri at my neighbour's house yesterday.. and we took the opportunity to mingle around with our neighbours which was quite fun :) I guess it's been quite sometime since I met them in such a gathering. Had to admit it was fun meeting them again :)
After the kenduri, we decided to go somewhere... I refused to stay home since all I do was just sleep, sleep and sleep if I am at home :) We did not really have anything on our mind.. but later decided to go to Mid Valley... which wasn't a good idea at first since we had to drive rounds and rounds before we can get a parking space ( it probably took us around 40 mins - or probably more just to find a parking space)... but later was not a bad idea at all when we borong my CLINIQUE and POLO romance (yes... this is my advance birthday treat from hubby... yeay!). We managed to get RM100 Metrojaya coupons just from that! :) Later we went the Maybank Treat exhibition at 3rd floor just to browse around. At the same time, there was an Indonesian product exhibition which was quite interesting... I was bargaining to buy a pair of nice telekong for my mom's birthday gift when I noticed Izzat was not around - I asked hubby and he said Izzat was playing at the back... so fine... I just proceed with my bargaining process. But later, we could not found him... we searched the entire place where the Indonesian Product Exhibition was held (it wasn't a big place... thanks God!).. but failed to find him. I got a big panic since just the night before I dreamt that Izzat was lost! I later asked Izzaty to sit a one place while hubby and I made the search... later Izzaty called me and informed that someone approached her and asked if we are looking for a boy.. and said she had said Izzat to the information center as Izzat was unable to find us. Alhamdulillah... a few minutes later we found Izzat back (the nice lady brought him back to us)... I'd say it was quite an experience for both parents and kids. Hopefully Izzat will learned his lesson... and as for us the parents... we definately will try our best to make sure it won't happened ever again!
Faizal won the AF3! It's okay with me... coz I guess I have no problem with him winning :) But I kinda don't like the idea of Lotter getting the 2nd place... Farhan should get the 3rd place instead! She's good.... and she got the talent! Well... can't say much since I did not contribute any vote... there is NO WAY I'll waste my $$$ on SMSes to AFUNDI them :) It's just not worth it! Well... at least for me it is not worth! What do I get in return?? yeah... NOTHING! So... why should I afundi?? :)

Sunway Lagoon family trip

Hubby's department's family day in Sunway Lagoon was quite fun :) The kids had a great time at the wet park. They took part in the telematch and I myself was forced to participate in the lady team for the telematch. ( It was fun on that day.. but the next day my whole body ache!! huh!!). The food was not bad either... the barbeque lunch was quite delicious. No wonder they charged them RM100 per head! After lunch, we had free time to wander around.. and we tried some of the rides. The 'Niagara Rides' really wet us (Izzaty & I) really bad - I had to change my clothes at the toilet before we left the park and went to SIL's place for Dzuhur prayer. Izzaty had to wear her bathrobe to SIL's place before changing into Alea's dress since I did not bring extra clothes for her (so stupid of me!.. I should have known it isn't easy to stay dry in such places!). On Sunday, most of the time I stay in bed... cause my whole body was in pain.... *sigh!*.

Update on En Hussin

More news on En Hussin this morning. He is still in ICU - both arms and legs broken, have difficulties to breath - some of the staff visited him yesterday and manage to talk to him for a while... though he was not allowed to talk much since he will have more breathing problem if he talk too much. Anyway, my heart goes to him and his family. I really wish I could visit and talk to him.. but he is still in Kuantan.. guess I'll wait till he is transfered to KL's hospital or his home... then I must find time to visit him. Afterall, he's my first boss ever since I begin my 'working-life' after graduated.
Hang in there En Hussin... my prayer for your speedy recovery....

En Hussin and friends accident

Ever since I finished the VIR and new reminder cycle projects, I have not been assigned any big project/assignments yet... so I am basically bored... doing nothing at the office nowadays.. except probably doing some e-learning.
Yesterday, we heard a very sad news... 5 of x-MFB managers (now MBB heads) - En Rushdi, Tn Hj Haron, En Abdullah @ Che Lah, En Shahrim and my x-boss, En Hussin went to visit Datuk Wan's mom's pengkebumian... but on the way there they had an accident - quite a serious one I believe since Che Lah passed away right away and Encik Hussin was badly injured (heard he is now in ICU - broken leg and hand + breathing problem). Not sure how the others are... but I pray that they are doing fine. It was such a shocking news and I kept thinking about them... infact, I had problem to sleep last night thinking about them. I do hope En Hussin and his friends will recovery soon... I pray to Allah, they will be okay...

Sara's 8th birthday party

Last Saturday, I brought the kids to Angah's house in SS14 for Sara's birthday party. It was really fun! Kudos to May who organized the party and made it so interesting for the kids. Izzaty had fun especially during the private intestigator game :) All the small 'detectives' went all out trying to solve the problem during the game and her team turned out to be the winner :) Unlike her, Izzat was a bit 'anti-social'. Don't know why... he suddenly turned to be a shy kid... 'izzat takut..' Takut what?? I really don't understand... *sigh!*.Anyway, the kids brought home so many gadgets and goodies from the party.. they had such a wonderful time at the party :) Later, we dropped by at Subang Parade to fease our eyes... the Malaysia Shopping Carnival is back!! :) MPH and Guess Kids were our main targets... or rather... MY targets :)
On Sunday, again we went to KL.. but this time to visit MIL in Cheras. But before that, we went to SOGO and Reject Shop Pertama Complex to browse around :) Bibik bought some clothes for her kids and family at Reject Shop.. good for her! :) We later 'lepak' at MIL's place.. the kids were happy to meet their nenek and Uncle Ee. Later, we went to Maluri Jusco to find Izzaty's new swimming suit... they have 50% discount on Arena's swimming suit.. which we thought quite a good deal.. so Izzaty got herself one new swimming suit :)

Dilema ibu bekerja....

Lately, I find it so difficult to have time for myself, except probably on weekends. Everyday, after coming back from work, or rather after having dinner and Maghrib prayer, I try my best to find time to read the holy Al Quran before giving full attention to the kids - checking their homeworks, ect. I also need to find time to teach Izzat to read the 'Bacalah Anakku' series. Alhamdulillah, he is now able to read slowly... and with more practice, hope he'll be more fluent. I have so many things planned for him (cewah!). After finishing the 'Bacalah Anakku' series, I planned to start on 'Peter & Jane' series.. to teach him to read english words. My main problem is, by the time I came back from work, I am usually very tired... and wish I could just go straight to bed or watch my favourite program on TV. I am now trying my best to change my daily routine cause I want my kids to do well in school.. :) I pray to Allah to give me strength and guidance to raise my kids to be soleh & solehah kids... :)

lunch date and production problem

I had lunch with an old friend yesterday at Domino's Pizza @ Mid Valley. Was a bit surprise to find how packed their basement parking was... and later found out there was a preview sales at Metrojaya and on top of that... it was a public holiday in NS (birthday of Yang Dipertuan Besar). Hence, it explained why the basement parking was so packed! I had to park my car near a wall illegally. Anyway, after having a delicious lunch (I love Domino's pizza!), we dropped by at the MV Metrojaya to feast our eyes... and as expected, all the counters has quite a long queue. I decided not to buy anything since I didn't want to be late going back to the office.

Once I reached the office, a colleague told me that my enhancement on the new reminders has caused a production problem - some customers were complaining receiving 5th schedule notice as a guarantor to an unknown person. So I stayed back to investigate the problem. I had doubts and wonder how my enhancements would affect the guarantor parts... but since the problem only occurred after my enhancement, I guess I had to take the blame... *sigh!* This morning, it confirmed my doubts... the errors occurred due to the program does not initialize the guarantors variables :) But what I fail to understand is... how come the problem never occurred before(???). Anyway, I just hope everything will go well tonite... please.. no more errors!!! :P I got tired of these notices production problems! :P . I can only pray to Allah, there would be NO MORE errors....

Mission NOT accomplished!

I was on unrecorded leaves yesterday - took the chance to bring bibik to Kedutaan Indonesia to renew her passport which will be expired by next year. As expected, there were lotssssss of people inside and outside of the Indonesian Embassy... well, I've expected to see a big crowd.. but I didn't expect it to be THAT BIG! :( Anyway, I left bibik with my sis-in-law's maid to renew their passport, while we waited for them at KLCC :) Apparently, the process was soooo slow and the counter only starts operating at around 12pm! (Imagine that?!) And bibik's number was 592. We waited and waited... until we got tired of KLCC. By 6:30pm they were still not being served and we were already tired. I got aggitated cause I needed to go back early to send the kids to Kumon class. At around 7pm, they called informing us that the counters had to be closed and they were informed to come again the next day... I was speechless... sis-in-law got very irritated with their system... and in the end, we wasted our day just like that... :P. What a tiring day...

Siem Reap trip with Na, Saadan and Nisya

For the past few weeks, life has been sooo hectic for me. As planned, I took 4 days off (It was planned months ago.. and since it was end of financial year... it was a nice excuse for me tu utlize my annual leaves :)) So off we (Hubby and myself, Saadan, Na and Danisya) to Siem Reap... and had a great time!! :) Our local tour guide, Mr Onn and driver, My Ly (We call them Mr OnLy.. hehe) waited for us at the airport.. they are such nice person.. infact, I think the combodian are mostly very nice and friendly :) Their english is surprisingly good considering their situation. We visited the Angkor Wat (the great pagoda) , Angkor Thom (the great city), the Bayon (Jayavarman's mountain temple), ect. It's quite fascinating the follow the splendors of the Khmer civilization... :)

After a having such a fantastic time in Siem Reap, I returned to work and struggle to finish up the VIR networks prepration and the new notice reminders project UAT. On 10th of July, both projects cut over was done.... and as expected... lots and lots of jobs abended!! After having a sleepless night and strugling to find the errors and rectifying them the next day... I would say all are now in order.. phew! (probably there are a few more minor errors here and there... but I guess it's quite acceptable hehe). I am still sleeping and tired... yet to qadar my sleep... zzzzzz.
Alhamdulillah... all went well.... at least all the problems are not that serious... :)

*sengkek!* but happy! :)

Izzaty got 1st in class... alhamdulillah. I promised her RM10 for each paper that she managed to get 100%... apparently I owe her RM70. (She only did not get 100% in her Jawi paper.. which she gets 98%).. she made me so proud... Thank you Allah for your gift!! Syukur, alhamdulillah....
It's 2 days to gaji-day.. and I only about RM150 left in my saving... huhu! And I've even used my savings in my current account... huwaaaa!! 2 more weeks to Siem Reap trip..... can't wait!

To Singapore!!

It's school holiday and I promised the kids that if they do well in their exam, we would be going somewhere during this school holiday! Izzaty has not get her overall result yet... but so far, she's doing quite well... getting 100% in English, BM, Maths and Pendidikan Agama. Only Science result is not out yet... so the suspense is not over. Meanwhile, Izzat told me that he got 3rd place in class... I was like what??? Macam tak percaya!! So I called his principle and Teacher Amy confirmed it.... Alhamdulillah.... thank you Allah! That was really unexpected! I was so proud of him and can't stop thanking Allah cause without His help and blessing... it would not have happened!

So, to fulfill my promise, the whole family went to Singapore last weekend (accompanied by Zamri, Anis and Danish). We slept over at Anis' sister's place in Woodland (Thank you Kak Ani for having us!! You and your family have been so nice to us!) We went to the famous Singapore Zoo (as expected, we had such an amazing experience in the zoo!)... and later Night Safari in the evening. There were soooo many people at the zoo and night safari. Infact, Night Safari show was so full that we had to miss the first 2 shows... and ended up queuing for the 11pm show! But it was really worth it! We sure had a great time!

On 2nd day in Spore, we took the bus and MRT with Abg Muz and Kak Ani to the shopping mall (yeap, it's sale time in Singapore!!), walked around at Orchard road, Arab street (Kak Ani bought me kain for baju kurung and I bought 2 more for mak and MIL), took some pictures at the convention center and the famous Merlion statue at the Singapore River. Went back to KL after our Maghrib prayer... bringing back lots of sweet memories from Singapore :)

IS Convention at Riviera Beach Resort, Malacca

Went to Riviera Beach Resort in Tg Keling, Melaka for our annually IS adventure. Our journey to Melaka was something we could never forget. We were suppose to get the 1st bus... but as most of the bosses would like to go first... we were later scheduled to get the 3rd bus. Unfortunately, the 3rd bus happened to be quite an old bus... and it made a weird noise that create a panic among us when we were at Sg Besi. After stopping for a few minutes, the driver confirmed that the noise was nothing dangerous and we later continued our journey with the noise playing as music in our ear... haha! The bus moved really, really slow... and we ended up arrived last at Riviera Beach Resort (even bus #10 which departed an hour later than our bus... arrived much, much earlier!). We had to stop at one of the small mosques along the small kampung for the guys to perform their Friday prayer.

But we had fun in Melaka!! It was an opportunity for us to gather and meet old buddies like Kak Ma, Salmi, Kiah, Ipah and the rest of MFB old colleages. We were divided into 10 teams - and auto finance team were in the White team (inspiration). All team was to present a 5 minutes sketch and we decided to do 'Dikir West' where changed the melody of 'Oh Carol' into dikir barat version :) Of course the title is 'Oh Maybank' and the lyrics are changed accordingly :) hehe...

Though our team got last in the performance.. and ended at the 7th place in overall result... It was okay to me.... cause the most important thing was everyone had a great time.. and from response given by audience.... they love our show :) Most of them underestimated us... they never thought we could present such an interesting show ...hahaha! :) The funny thing was... we get a special award for getting the lousy bus... hahaha! My guess is... they felt guilty for switching bus with us... so they 'sogok' us with the small present.... hehehe! Wallahualam.. whatever the reason was... we really had a great time in Melaka.... so... looking forward to going again next year... with a better performance... hahaha! :) Semangat... jgn tak semangat.. :)

An unfortunate incident - HOT news!

A few days ago... a 6 yrs old girl passed away in Selayang Hospital after being in the state of coma for 4 days after being left in a locked van for about 3 hrs. The driver did not notice she was still in the van (she was sleeping at the back of the van)... and locked the van securely before leaving it. The girl was found lying at the van door (it was believed that she already unlock the van from inside but failed to open the door probably because she was already too week - most of her body organ could not function anymore after being left locked in the van in the hot weather). I feel really sad when I heard the news... as the girl lived in my community.... But alhamdulillah, I really respect her parent who took the news very calmly.. they forgave the van driver and decided not to sue him..... I felt like crying when I read the article in the news paper this morning... I thought about the poor little girl... who used to be very cheerful and active... and I imagined her struggling to free herself from the locked van.... Ya Allah... please... let the girl rest in peace in your jannah... please give strength to the girl's parents to go on with their live and 3 other kids... and please forgive the driver and give him strength to go on with his life....
I pray Ya ALlah.... this won't happen again to any child in the world.... protect us Ya Allah.... though I know... whatever happened... there are hikmah behind it.... Allahuakbar! Allahuakbar! Allahuakbar!

TEB's sportday 2006

Went for Izzat's sportday yesterday. It was quite fun to see the small kids in action :) He won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals - way to go my boy! :) Izzaty registered herself in the ex-TEBs event and surprisingly won the 2nd place beating other girls older than her... surprise, surprise! My mom asked from whom did she get the atheletic gyn in her... of course from hubby's side :)
On Saturday we went to Na's place.... Danisyah and Izzaty had a great time! :) Izzat in the other hand, was comfortable playing on his own - trying his best to avoid Damien who just got 'his leg' and trying to befriend Izzat :)
Overall, it was an interesting weekend! I really had fun with the kids! :)

Income Tax week! Eeuuuu...

EA forms has been distributed. It's the hot topic now at the office... everyone's talking about income tax! :) I'm a bit nervous to start doing the calculation.. but I guess like it or not... it has to be done!

Hubby came back from Japan last Friday.. he was not well - got a cold and looked very, very tired...

My old friend, Germ has moved to her new house in Bangi. Am looking forward to visit her new house soon! Hopefully, by this weekend, hubby will be fit - then, I can talk him into going to Germ's place :)

A night at Ria's appartment Genting Highland

Last weekend, we brought the kids to Genting Highland... and we had a great time! I really enjoyed myself being with the kids.... I really missed them when I was in Europe :(

Hubby went outstation again yesterday evening... this time to Japan again. Zita told me that she's going to Japan next month... it's cherry blossom now in Japan... so everybody's excited about going to Japan.

Alhamdulillah, Izzaty has upgrade herself to level D in Kumon. She needs to work harder this time as level D is really, really tough for her (it's actually Malaysian primary 4 syllabus).

3rd Europe trip! Andalusia, Belgium & Venice

Had a great time in Europe! This is our 3rd 'honeymoon' to Europe! :) We arrived London Heathrow airport and went straight to catch our next flight 'IBERIAN' to Malaga. Reached Malaga at midnight and straight to hotel (Zues hotel.. such a cozy hotel!). I had a bad experience during my flight to London. MAS served a dish with pumpkin... not that I'm allergic to pumpkin.. but I can't take it when my perut kosong.... so apa lagi... tak sedap perut all the way! Muntah a bit... even in our Iberian flight.... aiyoooohhh!!! Very bad, bad experience!

Early next morning, we bought bus ticket to Granada and reached there around 11am. Went straight to hotel and after getting refreshed didn't wait long to go to the famous 'Al Hambra'. Al Hambra is as grand as we imagined! We spent the rest of our day there..... it is sooo hugh!! The architechture and arts of the building is really magnificent! We had such a great time there! The next day, we bought bus tickets to Cardoba and spent the whole day there. Mezquite is really something! But I was really sad to see such a beautiful mosque had turned to be a cathederal... luckily the mihrab, and some other places in the used-to-be a beautiful mosque still maintain and we can still see the Islamic history.

Al Hambra

Mezquite

The next day, we caught a flight to Belgium via Madrid. At Belgium airport, Rodney and Paul (perodua vendor) waited for us and brought us straight to Ghent, a small city outskirt of Belgium. Since they spent most of the time at work, me and Calist (Jeffry, one of the vendor's girlfriend) walked around Ghant.. in the rain (it rain almost all day! and it was really, really cold!). We had a nice dinner at a Thai Restaurant... (nice seafood tomyam!) before leaving Belgium the next day to Venice! Yesssss.... we went to Venice again for the 2nd time. The last time we were in Venice, back during our 1st honeymoon in 1997... we missed the gondola ride... so this was like a 'balas dendam' trip... Godola Ride was a must!! And we also managed to buy a set of Murano Glass as souvenir (the last time... we did not even consider buying it.. as we do not have the budget!). Well... it's quite expensive... but where else can we get Murano glass right? It's the best souvenir ever from Venice... :) We also managed to find a 'halal' pizza & kebab stall in Venice :) We spent 2 romantic days in Venice before going back to KL... :):)

Europe.. here we come (again!)

Managed to pack our things in the 2 cabin-size bags... and 2 'extra shopping bags' :)

Ready or not... I'm going with hubby to Europe! :) For the 1st time in our marriage life.. I'm following him on his business trip :) Still hesitant to leave the kids... but I guess somehow, they need to learn to survive on their own... without us around...

Will leave via the London flight at 9am tomorrow... May Allah bless our journey... and may everything turned well during the trip.. and may we return safely on time... And please Allah, protect my family members when we are not around. Aamin.

Holiday mood already.. hehe

Mood for holiday is here... :) A bit hesitant to leave the kids... but I guess, they have to learn to get used to not having us around.... it's just for a week anyway. Surprisingly, SONY called us last Monday to tell us that our camera has been repaired and ready for collection. Wow.. .that was really a fast service! :) It only took them 1 day to get it done.. :) So our camera is functioning perfectly normal now.. (at least it looks the same as before to me!). I pray that it won't fail us during our trip to Europe... Aamin! Have not started packing things yet.... dunno how to pack so many things in 2 tiny travel bags... dunno where to start... *sigh!*.

TKC gathering at Fa's, Izzaty's 1st ASHR medal

What a hectic weekend!!

Attended a gathering at Fa's place last Saturday... and I had a GRRrreatt time! :) Not many girls attended- just Fa (our ever 'charming' host), No Long (our guest of honour!), myself (of course!), Germ, Lin Khalid, Wewe, Qiss, Nini, Finaz, Salina, Has and Nani. It was really nice meeting them again after all these years. Some of them has put on some weight... but others look comel as ever :) Qiss prepared fresh curry bun and pizza (I am so impressed with your domestic skill Qiss!! :)), Wewe brought spaghetti, Lin K made some nice cup cakes (hmm.. delicious!), Nini and Finaz prepared currypuffs, and others (including yours truly yang malas nih!) just 'outsourced' some kuih-muih for this gathering. Izzaty also had a wonderful time playing with the girls' kids.

On Sunday, we attended Izzaty's kumon award ceremony at Bukit Beruntung Golf Club. Our heart nearly burst with proud (cewah!) when we saw Izzaty on the stage taking her award. Again, I'd like to thank Allah for giving me such wonderful kids. I pray that Izzat will follow his sis's step and be an ASHR student by next year. It was during the ceremony, Izzat dropped our camera and it went kaput!! :( And it's only 5 days left... before we're leaving for Europe... :( I guess it's fate... Well, at least it happened here in Malaysia. Not when we're in Europe.. hope things will go well when we're in Europe.. and the kids in Malaysia. Attended a wedding in Dewan Felda on Sunday night. Such a memorable wedding... great decorations and preparations! By the time we reached home, I was so tired.... and felt asleep almost right after I layed my head on the pillow...

VIR project : UAT phase

Busy.. busy.. busy. The VIR project is in the UAT phase... but I am very worried about the GL enhancement which is not 100% catered yet. Hubby has set a date for his Brussel business trip. He insisted on me to join him on this trip... which I'm more than happy to obligue :) It's just that the particular chosen date falls on school holiday and I am quite worried the kids will be bored without any interesting activities :(

Beijing & Seoul Trip

I had such a wonderful time in Beijing & Seoul! :) This is our belated 8th anniversary trip :) Made lots of friend in the group - a couple from Ampang, 2 wonderful career ladies from petronas, a family of 8 and 10 staff of Kuwait Finance. Weather are cold.. but it's a nice change compared to the current hot weather in Malaysia.

Beijing is historically interesting! We had great fun travelling with our Chinese tour guide Mr Lee a.k.a Ali :) And he can speak Malay! Or rather.. Indon language.. so we can understand him very clearly :) Among my favorite places we visited are..

The Great Wall of China (of course!) - we had fun climbing the wall!

The Nan Dou Ya Mosque (alhamdulillah... we were given the chance to pray in this 5000 yrs old mosque).

The Summer Palace (the lake were frozen! We had fun walking on the ice!)

The Forbidden City

Wax Museum

Panda Zoo

Naik beca in Hutong.... seronok!! :)
Kesejukan masa berbeca! :D

Shopping.. shopping.. shopping... hehe..HRC Beijing

Shopping for China Silks!

And more shopping malls which I can't recall the names :)

Seoul on the other hand is more modern. But we had the chance to visit some historical places like the Kyonbok Palace & Cultural Museum. Our Korean tourist guide is not as nice as Ali but Jeffry @ Giraffe is not so bad.. he made our trips very organized and arranged for us to have our Dzuhur prayer at the Seoul International Mosque.

The historical Kyonbok Palace, Korea

Shopping for brooches at Nam Daemun market

Nam Daemun market.. let's go shopping! :)

Seoul City

Having fun at Lotte World -
At the 'Stairway to Heaven' film scene... one of my favourite Korean films.. huhu! :)

The beautiful Seoul International Mosque

Overall... I had fun during the trip.... though I was a bit upset cause was not able to shop more in Beijing. We bought lotssss of interesting things for ourselves and souvenirs for friends. :) Wish we could spent more time in both places as I'd like to shop more!! hehe.. and most of all I wish I could go skiing in Seoul.... *sigh!* :(
