Izzaty (pulak!), Kumon and Ms Jaya

Last night, it was Izzaty's turn pulak to have a 'case' with Ms Jaya. She sat for the level FII exit exam and alhamdulillah, did quite well.

Yeah okay... I know that writing is not my kids' strongest subject... even their mommy pun :P

So okay... English class went quite well for Izzaty. Then, it was Maths turn. Suddenly Ms Jaya raised her voice and shouted loudly to Izzaty, "why so many mistakes??? Explain to me!!". Izzaty said she kept quiet at first... and Ms Jaya shouted even louder "Explain NOW!!". I am not sure how Izzaty answered to that.. but Mama sorang ni tak puas hati betul lah! The Kumon teacher just gave my daughter homework without even explaining to her how to do it. Of course she did it wrongly... so?? Patut in next class, ajar lah kan?? And ask her to do correction! Instead they gave her a new worksheet as homework... lagi lah dia tak tau buat! So that left us, the parents to teach! Mama dah angkat tangan awal2!! Dah lupa how to do this!! :P

Ayah pun ingat2 lupa... huhu! Tapi boleh la ajar sket2. Yang mama tak puas hati ni, why lar dia nak marah2??? Kalau salah, ajar je lah the next day kan?? Ask her to do correction then until she got it right. Afterall, she is just 12!! And Phythagorean Theorem is definitely NOT easy for kids of her age!

One more thing, Ms Jaya kept comparing Izzaty with another girl who is 14!! Hello?? I thought Kumon is all about individuality! Tak boleh compare with others! And SHE as a Kumon principle should know better!!!

Oh lagi satu! I do not like the fact that she scolds her students in front of everyone - students and parents! Macam la besar sangat salah budak tu! And she really raised her voice tau!! Malu the students!! Really demotivate them to learn there! Saya mmg tak setuju part ni!!

Rasa macam nak call je Ms Jaya and complain... tapi bila dengar suara dia jer... perutku dah kecut!! Adoiii... tu parents! Cannot imagine budak2 tu punya kecut!! Huhu!!

So Izzaty, just do your correction ya! Next class... kena submit personally to Ms Jaya all those corrections.. Hahaha! Good luck girl! :P

Doraemon Pinata - Izzaty's version

When Izzaty told me that she had to create something using old newspaper for her Science project, I suggested her doing pinata. And since she helped me doing a Doraemon pinata for her birthday party 2 years ago, she said she could do that! She wanted to do another Doraemon pinata!! =)

It started as a group project - Izzaty and her BFFs - Shafiqah and Natasha wrapping 2 balloons with small pieces of old newspaper.

Output of Day 1 : First layer for 2 balloons and 4 plastic cups - Good job girls!!! Baru first layer.... more jobs to be done next, okay!

But later, their Science teacher wanted them to do this project on their own. So Izzaty had no choice but to finish the pinata all by herself. And the rest of the girls had to think of something else to do on their own. But interestingly, since all of them now know how to do a pinata... both Natasha and Shafiqah (plus another friend, Qistina) decided to do their own pinata - in different shapes, of course! Good for you girls! :)

Doraemon on the next week - hands and legs attached! Its face in progress! Yang putih2 tu is actually Izzaty's attempt to draw Doraemon's face tapi gagal! :) Good job girl! Try again on the face :)

Colouring the old newspaper in blue - Doraemon's colour! :) And later cut the newspapers into 'rambu-ramba' to make the pinata look nice :) That was a massive job! She got help from mommy and Izzat a bit on this :) See the Doraemon's legs and part of its body dah covered by rambu-ramba :)

And Ta-dah!!! the final output after 3 weeks++ !! :)

GOOD JOB dear! Comel jugak Doraemon nih =)

Izzat, Kumon and Ms Jaya

Kids came back from Kumon today and Izzaty said there's a message for me from Ms Jaya..

Need I say more??? Cakap mama pun dia tak mau dengar... huhu! Alahai... Ms Jaya yang garang tu pun tak boleh nak control budak kecik sorang tu... huhu!

Izzat kesayangan ku itu memang begitu... very, very playful and very difficult to focus.

Am still trying to figure out what to do with him... *sigh!*. Any suggestion friends?

Well... at least he did very well in this Kumon exam... haha! THAT at least made me happy a bit - heheeeeee :D

Happy 12th birthday Izzaty ♥

My girl turned 12 today - exactly a week after her little brother turned 9 :) My, how time flies! She is no longer the chubby little girl who anxiously waited for me coming home every evening and ran to hug and kiss me... no more cute pink dresses for her nowadays... huhu! Infact, mommy has no say to what she chose to wear nowadays.. :P

Chubby Izzaty and cousin Sara back in year 2000. Yeah... I miss those years when I gotto chose what she should and should not wear :)

Anyway, she is so tall now. Kejap lagi boleh mengalahkan ketinggian mama yang tak seberapa ni :P And in a few months I guess... we can share our clothes :)

Izzaty on the first week of school 2011.

On her birthday - getting ready for taekwando class.

What did we get for her birthday?? Hmm.... tough! She did not do very well in her final exam last year. So we were not supposed to buy expensive present for her... huhu! That's the deal you see... :) If they do well in the exam.. then they can demand a bit lah.. hehe. But remember her flute lessons that I told you in my previous post here? She needs a flute! But we do not want to buy expensive flute for her since we are not sure if she could be trusted taking care of such an expensive instrument. Kebetulan, a few weeks back hubby's friend went to Japan... so he asked her to 'browse' around for a reasonable price flute! Was told that flute in Japan is much, much cheaper! Alhamdulliah.... she managed to find a flute for Yen1000 (about RM370). Damn cheap!!! It was on offer... al maklum lah X'mas week masa tu... that's why it's so cheap. But yeah... of course it's not Yamaha! It's Yamurah! :P

Izzaty's first flute - sponsored by darling ayah :) A Japanese brand which I do not know how to prounounce. It has been tested by her flute teacher, Dima. Dima said the flute is quite good for a beginner!! Phew..... lega! Takut jugak beli yang murah2 ni takde quality kan... huhu!

These things are needed for the flute maintenance - sponsored by mama :) Quite expensive jugak these small2 thing!! Urgh!

Izzaty loves her presents :) Just take great care of the flute okay dear!

Happy birthday my darling girl!! Semoga menjadi anak yang solehah dan cemerlang dunia dan akhirat... ♥ ♥ ♥

Zita's belated birthday treat

My friend of 30 years, Zita turned 40 last November. Since she was in Ho Chi Minh on her birthday, we had to postpone our annual birthday makan2 - it's like an annual tradition for us... she treats me on my birthday and I treat her on hers. Sometimes we celebrated it earlier and sometimes we postponed to later... depending on our schedule. Al maklum lah... she's staying in Seremban and I'm in Klang Valley :) It's an occasion that we look forward every year! :)

Since both of us have been so busy for the past few months... today baru lah berkesempatan berjumpa. I could not get away from the office for so long. Am working on a last minute program migration for a project. So we decided to meet up at Starbuck, Menara Maybank which is just at the lobby of my office :)

So, what did I get for her birthday?? Of course something special!

From Russia With LOVE, Matyoshka Dolls ♥

Fridge magnet from Qatar and
Plate magnet from St Petersburg, Russia.

And I am glad she really loves the Russian Matyoshka doll! :) It's so adorably cute! :)

And ohhhh.... surprise! surprise! I also get a 'New Year Gift' from her.... yeay!!!!!
I soooo love the souvenirs from Ho Chi Minh!!!!! Thanks babe *muah!* *muah!*

To my friend, Zita,
Thank you for being such a dear friend through all these years.
Thank you for being there for me... through good and bad time.
Thank you for being so understanding and being someone that I could talk to.
But most of all... thank you for accepting me for who I am and..
... thank you for being you!
LOVE YOU BABE! *muah!*
