A symptom

When I woke up at 5.30am this morning, I felt a pain on the chest.... urgh! I had experienced this kind of pain before... usually, it would go away after a while..... unfortunately, not today :(

I was contemplating of going to the clinic and not going to work when suddenly the light just went off.... the whole area of Taman Perumahan Teluki just blackout!! Total darkness!!! Alamak... how to make myself pretty to work?? Dah buboh bedak... tapi lipstick belum lagi! :P And I heard from the bathroom, Izzaty went like "Oiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!" She must have thought someone was trying to play prank on her by switching off the bathroom light... hehe :D

Maka, bergelap lah kami sekeluarga pagi tadi sambil bersiap untuk ke sekolah/kerja. Anyway, I decided to go to work jugak... mengenangkan ada 3 UATs in progress kena siapkan minggu ni.... *sigh!*. So off I go to work today... without wearing any lipstick the whole day! (dah gelap2 tu... bedak and lipstick pun tertinggal la pulak kat rumah! :P )

I got on the 6.45am bus and managed to sleep throughout the journey.... with the hope the pain would go away. But by the time we reached Jalan Duta... I woke up and the pain was still there... :( So I decided to go and see a doc. There's a clinic on the 30th floor Menara Maybank... very, very convenient.. alhamdulillah. At the clinic, kena buat ECG test.... but alhamdulillah... doktor kata jantung saya ni normal (phew... lega giler dengar!), BP pun normal. But I cannot do blood test... sebab dah makan something pagi tadi. The doctor suspected the pain is caused by the muscle pain from my stiff shoulder... Ohhh..... sebab tu takpe... as long as my heart is in good condition... syukur alhamdulillah :)

The doc asked me "Boleh kerja tak hari ni?". "Hmm... boleh la doktor.... dah sampai office all the way nih... malas la nak balik dah!" Huhu..... nak buat camana... rumah I bukan dekat you!!! :P

Meanwhile... I survived the day by eating a pain killer... and malam ni... kena makan a pill to 'relax' my muscle. Adoii.... ini lah symptom orang dah tua.... kuang kuang kuang.... :P

a VERY bad day...

A few days back, when Izzat was doing his homework, he complained 'Izzat tak suka lah life Izzat ni... asyik kena belajar aje!". And as a mom... it was my responsibility to tell him "tak baik Izzat cakap macam tu... tak bersyukur ke dengan apa yang Izzat ada?"... and the mom's bebel goes on.... huhu :)

But yesterday.... I am ashamed to admit that I felt EXACTLY like what Izzat felt! :P

I was so down when I had to face on one stupid issue at work that has been bugging me for days... terganggu tidur malamku kerana issue bodoh ini!! :( But I tried to take it easy by making myself busy... but obviously issue itu masih menhantui fikiranku! :P And to make my day even worst.. there were no 6pm bus yesterday... and I had to wait for half an hour for the 6.30pm bus at Puduraya yang penuh dengan asap hitam bas itu! On top of that... there was a MAJOR traffic jam at Rawang exit (I have NO IDEA what happened!) causing the PLUS highway to north jam bagai nak rak!!! :P Dah la kelaparan... (I had 3 karipaps only for my lunch). Rasa nak muntah pun ada dlm bas lama sangat nih! In the end.... sampai rumah around 8.30pm :( Aduhh penatnya MasyaAllah.... memang menduga iman ku.... tapi syukur alhamdulillah... saya masih waras utk beristighfar... dan berdoa agar dikuatkan iman utk terus berjuang meneruskan hidup ini... huhu! Kalau ikutkan hati ni... memang nak resign ajer! :P I thought of what I told Izzat on that day.... and told myself to be strong to face all problems... for myself and my family.

Ya Allah... kuatkan lah iman aku dah ahli2 keluargaku.... moga kami sentiasa mendapat petunjuk dan rahmat dari Mu..... Amiin.

Catching up with age..

I have been so tired lately.... :( Getting flu, sore throat and stiff shoulders are making my days even more eventful :P Well... can't deny it anymore... this body of mine is really catching up with my age... hahaha! :P May be I should exercise.... has not been doing that for years! My body must have been 'rusty' by now... huhu :(

Anyway, kids exam result is out. Adoi... kurang menariklah :( And as expected... the most 'worrying' subject... 'Penulisan' yang paling kurang memberangsangkan.... for both Izzaty and Izzat.. huhu! Never mind lah.... lepas ni kita pasang strategy to make the result better yah kids?! I also have to find a way to improve Izzat's English writing... adoi.... how ah??

Work In Progress...

So many things to do these few weeks! Kids had finished their first monthly test..... ahhh.... lega! But their KAFA test is coming soon after the school holiday. Did the kids study during the school holiday?? I don't think so.... nampak relax ajer diorang the whole week... ish ish ish!!!

At work, the eGL project is now in the UAT (User Acceptance Test) stage. There was a 'special' meeting (with free breakfast sponsored by Oracle.. nice!) to celebrate the UAT kick off.... glamour gitu!! First time in my working life nak buat UAT pun ada celebration! Free breakfast from Oracle... macam2 ada... nasi lemak, mihun, maggie goreng, roti canai, ect, ect! When I was queuing up nak ambil free food... Ms Teoh, an old friend from Accounting Dept approached me and said "Eh.. baru first time jumpa you kat sini.. You nampak sihat lah!". Alamak! Err... "SIHAT" means "GEMOK" kan??? Potong stim betul... terus cancel nak makan nasi lemak! :P

But the UAT progress so far?? Hahaha.... I have no comment! :P As at today, I already have 2 defects.... huhuhu :P I think I was the first staff from application team who received defect log! Huhuhu.... Fening... fening...

The Motor Ins. Auto Ren. project is also in UAT progress.... Darn! 2 UATs at one time.... fening.. fening! I have not prepared the job flow and other documentations.... adoiii....!!! Tambah lagi fening... fening... :P

But thank god... the Hol. Pymt Facility project has already been implemented successfully! Syukur alhamdulillah... :)

Supposedly... the Puduraya would be closed by middle of March for renovation. In preparation nak kena jalan jauh... I bought another croc shoes... Olivia black...

Hehe... alasan je nak beli kasut baru kan? :D But I LOVE it! Very, very comfy! :) Tapi as at today.... Puduraya masih jugak tak tutup2... kah kah kah!! Tak pe... semangat mesti lebih!! :D

Happy Women's day 2010!

In conjunction with the international Women's Day Celebration on 8 March, Maybank's Group Human Capital had organized a 2-day Women's Day Celebration in recognition of the female workforce's dedication and contributions to Maybank Group.... I thought the idea was fantastic! :) Awesome!! 2 thumbs up to Maybank for recognizing the female employees!! :) Throughout 8-9 March 2010, there were lots of activities organised specially for women in this building.... Meriah sangat kat foyer menara maybank nih! :)

The main highlight of the celebration was a charity auction. Profits from the auction would be donated to the Maybank Cahaya Kasih Fund (good job all! A very brilliant idea!).

Among the one-of-a kind items that will be up for auction includes:

• A mouth-watering offer from Dato' Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, PCEO to cook lunch or dinner for up to 10 people. (wahhh.. I like!)
  

• Soak up some culture with Pn Nora Manaf, Head of Group Human Capital and enjoy the "West Side Story Broadway Musical" and supper.
  

• ... and some other items like coach handbags (nice!) and others which I can't even remember! huhu...
  

The truth is... I just stopped for a while at one or two booths at the foyer.... did not get the chance to get involved in the auction and so forth.... So busy with some work that I pay no attention with what's going on at the foyer... huhu :( On the 2nd day, 'setangkai bunga mawar' was delivered to me.... what a pleasant surprise!! Been a long time since the last I received flowers!! :) Tapi dari siapa ya?? Tak mungkin suamiku.... :P The card did not mentioned any names... just a message 'Have a nice day!'. Wahhh!! Misteri nyaaa!!! Siapa ya?????? Jeng jeng jeng!!!


My first guess was... the rose was from my x-room-mate masa zaman2 bujang at Desa Pandan dulu... Ila. I quickly messaged her... But nope... she said she wished the flower was from her... but it wasn't. Errkkk??? sapa ya??? My colleagues mengambil peluang mengutukku.... kononnya aku ada 'kekasih gelap'... wakakaka!! :P It was hilarious!! At my age??? ada kekasih gelap?? tok sah buat kelakau le kengkawan!! :P But really... the flower really made me happy :)

Later, when I went to surau for Asar prayer... I met a friend, Rad. Told her about the flower delivery and the card message. Rad said she also received a flower with the same message... Ahah!! If that's the case.... tau le kami sapa yang bagi.... tak lain tak bukan... our dear friend, Salmi!! :)

Later, I taxed Salmi to thank her for the flower... which really made my day.. huhu! :) And she was like "Eh.. camana tau nih??"... Elllllehhhh.... Rad and I know you quite well my dear.... :) And we love you for brightening our day with the flowers!!! *muuuuuahhh!!!* ;) A very nice surprise indeed! :)

This and that...

Urgh?? Is it March already?? How time flies!! I am now getting used to the new routine after moving to my new office. Have to wake up early to catch the 6.30am or 6.45am bus. Am enjoying the bus ride actually.... masuk je bus I can doze off.... Zzzzzzzzz :) Heaven!! :) No need to bother with the traffic jam anymore.... janji selamat sampai :) But of course there are pros and cons in using the public transports. The ugly side of it?? Hmm... I can list a few...

• Bus rosak...... duh! ganggu waktu perjalanan ku! And I hate waiting! :P
  

• Raining cats and dogs.... basah kuyup makcik jalan ke Puduraya walaupun berpayung! :P Mana tak nya... air mengalir macam 'mini sungai' kat area ni! Too many constructions around! But thanks god my new shoes are 'Havana' croc (see below)... it''s water proof!! :)
• Soon, the Puduraya will be closed for renovation for 3 or 4 months. I was told that my bus would be based temporarily somewhere behind the Swiss Garden hotel (Jalan Pudu). Aduhai... jauh jugak nak menapak tu... Should I just walk (which would be a very good exercise utk orang yang gemok cam I nih!)... or just take a bus to go there?? Traffic teruk jugak kat situ... huhu... ntah lah... we just have to wait and see lah... *sigh!*

As for the kids... they are quite busy with their daily activities.... school, KAFA, Kumon, BM classes, taekwando, ect....

Izzaty won 4th place in her school's merentas desa (standard 5 level). Last year she got 12th place... Well done girl! Am so proud of you!! :). This afternoon she called to inform me that she was chosen to represent her school in 'merentas desa' peringkat daerah. Uh?? Got peringkat daerah one ke??? Tak pernah dengar la pulak! Hmmm... I noticed that she has been quite active lately... was also chosen to join the school volley ball team... mama dia macam tak percaya aje! huhu... :) Last Monday, she and a few friends represented their school in the Petronas StreetSmart competition. And last week, she entered the pertandingan bercerita agama competition representing her class (not sure how she did in this competition... result is not out yet... but the person who win.. will later represent the school to peringkat daerah).

On the other hand.. Izzat surprised me by entering the tilawah Al Quran competition (Anak bujangku yang sangat pemalu ini masuk competition?? Boleh ke tu??? huhu.. ) And the result was out yesterday... dia kalah.... hehe... it's okay darling... at least you tried and I love you for that! Am so proud of you too! :).

Next week the kids would be sitting for their first monthly test..... alamak... bila nak start ulangkaji nih?? Sibuk ngan activity harian aje nih.... huhu...
