Zura is 40!! ;)

One of my favourite colleagues, Zura is 40 tomorrow. Since tomorrow is a non-working day, we decided to surprise her today by organizing a mini surprise 'advance' birthday party.

A bunch of us gathered at Menara Maybank's Starbuck after lunch today. Our Expose Class coach, Ina called Zura (who was in a meeting with her boss, Mr Atul!) saying that she had something urgent to tell and need to meet her asap. And SURPRISE!!!!

Birthday girl buat muka terkejut and tak puas hati dipaksa dera pakai topi and serempang lol!

Green Tea cake… very nice! Unfortunately, I forgot to take note on where we ordered this nice cake -.-

Yours truly with THE birthday girl :)
Happy birthday sis.
Moga diberkati Allah dunia dan akhirat.
Love you sis! *muah!*

Reunion at a wedding ;D

A few months back, my ex boss (or rather my first ever boss when I first joined Mayban Finance right after I graduated), En Hussin messaged me to invite me to his son's wedding. I was touched because after all these years (En Hussin is now retired), he still remember me! So sweet of him! But I was reluctant to go as most of my close friends were not invited and those who were invited were not able to go -.- But a week before the event, again En Hussin messaged me  reminding me to come 'you jangan tak datang tau'. How could I not come right? Huhu...

Mr Hubby was too busy to join me on that day.. And since I had to send Izzaty back to kolej that evening, might as well I bring her along to accompany me to the wedding haha... Dipaksa dera teman mama! :D

Thanks to Mr Waze, we got to IDCC hall without any problem - otherwise serious malas pergi as I am so not familiar with that area -.-

Upon reaching the hall, to my delight, from far I could see some familiar faces.... Thanks god! I was soooo afraid I'd die of boredom knowing no one during the event, lol!

The first familiar faces I saw outside the hall ;)
From left: Janet Fong, Alicia Goh, yours truly and Michelle Tan. Alicia and Janet have retired and I have not been meeting them for years!

Mother and daughter

With En Hussin (in blue baju melayu), Michelle, John Kennedy and his wif

Turned out, I met lotsss of familiar faces! Macam reunion ex Mayban Finance staff pulak hahaha!
It was great to be able to meet these familiar faces again! Serious rindu kerja dgn Mayban Finance old team! Huhu...
Sitting in front, yg botak tu, my old boss, En Baha.... Serious lama x jumpa haha! Still cheeky as ever! Lol! Yang baju batik biru tu pun another ex boss of mine, En Zainal. Whooaaa… banyak dah ex bosses I eh… that shows how 'old' I am.. and how long I've been with Maybank :P

With En Zol, Mariani, Kamarul and Usha.
En Zol (most left) is another ex boss of mine.

With Mariani and Kak Salwa

It was a great reunion indeed! I am glad I decided to come ;))

Thank you En Hussin for inviting us. I was so touched when she introduced me to his wife 'Lina, remember my sister, Runiza'. Awwww.... So sweet of him :D

I foresee more reunions at weddings in the future… huhu… yeah, I guess I have reached 'that stage' LoL :P

Asterix Moms the WonderWomen

Izzaty's friend whose name is also Izzati but with an 'i' in the end (Kak Iza's daughter), is such a talented artist and made this new logo for Asterix Mommies...

Awesome right? Thank you anakanda Izzati Rosli for the thoughts. It was so sweet of you to design that logo for us ❤️

By the way, the image behind 'Asterix Moms' is supposed to be the image of  the 'Wonder Woman' but some of us said 'nampak cam mommy tengah menyinga pun ada' Lol!!

Whatever it is, I love our new profile image - yes, we have made that as our group profile image and we are considering to do tshirts with that logo on it. At the back of the tshirt we should probably put 'Don't mess with Asterix Moms. Lol!

Over the years, the Asterix moms have became very close - we are like sisters to each other - just like our daughters' relationship with each other. All the girls are like our own daughters. It's a unique kind of relationship that has blossomed based from our love and wanting the best for our girls. We have become a big family that always support each other during good and bad times. InsyaAllah, we will unite and would do our best to help in any way we can to ensure our girls' success in the coming SPM. And may our friendship continues even after our girls are out of college... Hopefully till jannah, insyaAllah ❤️

Asterix Moms Rock!!! :D

The return of TKWO! ;)

It has been a year since TKWO last compete in a competition due to the mishap of the band room which saw almost all of the instruments destroyed and a year of no music. They only got the replacement of their full instruments late last year and since then the girls and their instructor struggled to polish back the team back to their glory. It was really, really a struggle I tell you! Their first performance after the mishap was in September last year at MCKK Royal concert as a guest team... and their performance was way behind the quality of the MC WO performance. Sedih la jugak kan...

Anyway, ever since then, they practiced harder and work so hard to improve the quality of their sound. A 4days workshop by a Japanese clinician Mr Keiichi Kurokawa was organized and sponsored by TKWO parents recently in the process of improving the girls music quality. And last weekend, for the first time ever after the mishap TKWO decided to enter the Piala Dato' Idris Jusoh competition in UKM (take note of the my previous post on how the parents help TKWO to recover their uniforms and all for this competition). So last Sunday morning, off to UKM I went to support my girl and TKWO in this very important competition of the 'comeback' of TKWO.

TKWO warming up outside the hall. Nora's girl, Nathra (wearing white) conducted the girls.

Izzaty and Nathra

Flutist section practice led by the section leader - non other than my girl, Izzaty :)

A few TKWO parents got together in the hall to cheer for our girls. A bunch of us decided to go on the 2nd level of the hall which has nicer view of the stage - over kan? :D
See the green tudungs? That's TKC team. The pink tudungs are SSP. The Yellow ones are MRSM Trolak.
Boys in black are SAS.

Asterix mommies always stick together - yours truly, Nora and Ila

Penyokong tegar TKWO  hehe - Kak Ida, Kak Hani, Tasha (behind), yours truly, Nora, Ila and Kak Osh.

With my batchmate tkc87 - Dr Natasha

The girls were nervous getting for their turn...

First performance by SSP
SSPWind was conducted by Raja Muzaffar (who happened to coach both TKC and SSP)
They were soooo good! Their music was so loud and clear! Hebat!!
*mak dah berdebar giler masa ni!*

2nd performance by MRSM Trolak

Not bad!! I actually under estimate them! They are quite good, I must say! Tidak kurang hebatnya!!
Thumbs up MRSM Trolak!!

3rd performance by SAS

Conducted by their coach, Alfa who is also their alumni member.
As expected, SASWO performance was so dynamic! Very impressive!
*mak takutttt ahahhaha!*

4th performance by TKC
OMG... TKWO actually did very well!! For a 'comeback' performance, I would say they did extremely well!! We were extremely proud of the girls! And our own conductress (tak main la suruh coach conduct tau!), Nathra did extremely well for a first timer!! Some of the parents actually cried mengenangkan what the girls had gone through after the mishap. Their struggle and hard work really paid off!!
*mak pun rasa nak nangis bangga! haha!*

5th and last performance by Sekolah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Pekan, Pahang
A very entertaining performance! A small team but they actually perform well!
Good job SEMSAS!!!

There was also a show performance by SK Bukit Bintang Utara. When they were performing, I was thinking like 'eh... my niece Tina must be one of the them performing nih!'

During the break, kita selfie2 ramai2... :D
Mommy and daughter ❤️

And I was right... my niece Tina was there!

Zaty and Atikah with their handsome coach/instructor, Raja Muzaffar

Later, the girls had lunch together with the SSP girls. Nora and I decided to go out of UKM and eat KFC for lunch :D
Performed our Zuhur prayer at UKM mosque and later came back to Dewan Chancellor Tun Abdul Razak for the result announcement.
All the participants were anxious waiting for the result announcement.

And the result is..

Champion : SAS
Runner Up : SSP
2nd Runner Up : TKC

Best Conductor : SAS
(okay I protest!! He is not a student! Dah tua... hahaha! Dah expert kot?! :P)

The result was just like what I predicted! Alhamdulillah for TKWO! No 3 is not bad for a 'comeback' performance!! Am extremely proud of the girls!! Especially the Asterix girls who is leading the TKWO this year.

En Rejab, their previous instructor was there to support them.

The Asterix mommies again :D
Ila, Dr Kam, Nora and yours truly

Izzaty and Ichab (Dr Kam's girl) with us at the back ;D

Am super proud of the girls achievement!
Congrats TKWO! and welcome back!!! You gals are awesome!! Let's practice more and beat the rest of them in July okay! :D

Super Busy Saturday

I had a super busy Saturday. Had to leave the house as early as 7am to ensure I'll be in NSTP Balai Berita in Bangsar before 8am for the OGA-MCOBA Score A program. My daughter would not be joining this program this time as she and her TKWO teammates has a competition tomorrow and will be busy doing rehearsal and sound check in UKM today.

I had a mix feeling that morning. Happy to see the enthusiastic spirit of the Asterix girls coming for that program but a the same time I felt sad that my daughter was not able to join them :(

The registration mommies - Sue, yours truly and Sut :)

Sut's boy helping out on behalf of MCOBA

Files for the participants

With some of the high-spirited Asterix mommies - Sue, Elin, Sut, Kak Chah and kak Iza :)

Young ladies and men with full concentration during the program.
Only 25 MCKK boys registered for this program… only the brave ones I guess? haha
Can you see the back benchers… keeping the guys sandwiched? hahahahaha!

Dee was the last participants to register herself! Hmmm… come on girl, be more punctual next time please!

Later around 10am, had breakfast (baru dapat breakfast huhu!) with the Asterix mommies ;)
With Nora Hayati, Farah Nadiah's mom who happened to be Germ's besties when they were in ITM Dungun. Hi germ!!! :)))

Breakfast with the BIG BOSS - Thanks Kak Chah for treating us!! You rock!!! Love you! *muah!* *muah!*

Left Bangsar around 10:30am as I promised Mr Hubby to be back by 11am. Oh yeah… I was late… huhu! Kelam kelibut drive back as we have 2 weddings to attend today. First wedding was in Dewan Siti Catering in Bukit Beruntung. It's the wedding our our neighbor, Kak Aina's son. Did not stay long here as we have hurry for the 2nd wedding in Shah Alam.

The 2nd wedding is my cousin, Kak Long Aishah's son - Adams' wedding.
Congrats Adam! You're finally married! Mak Lang has waited for this day for years okay! Am so happy for you dear!
Barakallah!! Moga bahagia hingga ke jannah!

With my cousin Zami's lovely wife - Hafsah and 3 of their beautiful kids :)

With my cousin, Alma. Angah Alma is also and ex tkcian.

It was a super hot day… I tell you! Right after the wedding, we went to KL. Dropped by at Petronas at NKVE Dataran Damansara… not to refill fuel but to change my clothes… hahaha! and of course to perform our Zuhur prayer. I had to change my clothes as Hubby wanted to go to Matta Fair after that and in this hot weather… I thought I better dress comfortably.

Dropped by at the Hentian Duta bus station first to buy Izzat's bus ticket to go back to his maktab this Friday. He has to go back early to attend a PT3 program.

Going to Matta Fair was a challenge! Giler gem! Parking was a disaster! We had to make several rounds in Sunway Putra Mall before securing a parking place there! And as expected there were lotssssss of people at the PWTC for the Matta Fair!!! Redah her lah… demi mencari ilmu on our trip to Hokkaido this coming July… hahaha!

Dinner at Sunway Putra Mall or previously known as the Mall but recently has been upgraded and this was our first time there after the new image. I thought the mall looks great now!!

Well, it's a few mins past 10.30pm… I am already flat tired :P Gotto rest as I have another busy day tomorrow…
