Viva Palestina!!

My hubby is back from his umrah trip! woohoo!! :) Syukur alhamdulillah... he's fine... walau pun now sangat panas di sana. He got these new fridge magnets to add to our collections... :)

And I totally HEART this clock! :)

Wish I could join him visiting Jerusalem... jealous tenguk member posing beriya kat Dome of the Rock... huhu!

But most of all... I wish I could be with him praying at the 3 most important mosques in Islam: 1. Masjidil Haram in Mecca (I am amazed by the changes in Mecca compared to my last umrah trip back in 2009!!)

2. Masjidil Nabawi in Madinah
and no 3. Masjidil Aqsa in Jerusalem....

Kebetulan... our TKC/MGC luncheon this month, there was a talk on Palestine. Details as follow :

Super EARLY birthday celebration!

My birthday is in August... and for the 3rd year in a row... it falls in the holy month of Ramadhan. My good friend of 31 years, Zita and some of my x-primary-school girlfriends requested to meet me last weekend to pre-celebrate my birthday as some of them are going to India the next week and Ramadhan month is coming very soon after that. Since I have a full-day training last Saturday, we decided to meet-up on Sunday. It was supposed to be our primary-school gathering cum birthday celebration for those born in the month of July and August :) Bagus kan kawan2 I ni? Sungguh rajin ber-gather2. Infact, almost every month they have makan2 to celebrate birthdays tau! :)

Anyway, the venue is Restoran Nasi Arab Damsyik in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. Located just a few meters away from Pusat Dakwah Negeri Sembilan, Paroi. I left Lucky Hill with my kids around 12.30pm and arrived there around 2pm - just on time! :)

5 girls turned up for this gathering - Yous truly, Zita, Mimi, Marazlin and Shina :) Mimi siap bawak a homemade-cake!! Sedap giler!!!! Thank you soooo much Mimi for the super-yummilicious cake!!! Our nasi Arab - lupa nak ambil gambar before nasi diusik... maklum laaa... dah lapor... perjalanan jauh tu dari Bkt Beruntung ke Senawang :P The price is surprisingly cheap! One dulang nasi arab with one-whole chicken cost only RM45 - very reasonable! Wahh.. boleh datang lagi nih! :D

The yummilicious-looking and sinfully-super-delicious-in-taste cake! Specially made by Mimi~ woohoo!! Sodap Miee..... terngiang2 ghaso eh sampai now.. :)
See the colour inside the cake... as beautiful as its taste! :)

Jiwang karat :P

Sent hubby to KLIA last night.

Am missing him terribly now :(

Macam lah tak pernah kena tinggalkan! Tiba2 sentimentel la pulok ek?! :P But this time, memang sangat sedih ditinggalkan :( For the first time, hubby pergi menunaikan umrah seorang diri dan isteri sorang ni tak dapat ikut :(

He's probably in Jordan now... or waiting his flight to Tel Aviv. Jealous sangat tau :( Sungguh bertuah menjadi tetamu Allah dapat ke 3 masjid utama dalam Islam - Masjid Al Aqsa, Masjid Nabawi and finally Masjidil Haram... subhanallah. Semoga Allah memberkati perjalan suamiku ke sana....

Doaku agar suamiku mendapat umrah yang mabrur..... jangan lupa doakan kami sekeluarga disini ya! Moga selamat pergi dan pulang... We miss you....

Balik dari KLIA semalam... tangan ni gatal meninggalkan status sebegini di FB...

Ohohooo....:D The truth is I am not the jiwang kinda person :D Well, at least I never leave 'jiwang messages' as my FB status before! Seriously! :P Am just not that kinda person :D I don't feel comfortable to show the 'jiwang' side of me in public :D And Zita was quick to notice that!! LOL! She certainly knows me too well! :P Ekau golak an den yo Ta.... :P

Tapi terhibur juga bila kawan2 drop some sweet comments :) Hilang sket sedey ni... hihi :D Sekali sekala jiwang karat.... takpe la ek... hik hik. :P

My mental therapy...

What do you do when you are feeling down, sad or having problems?

For me, the best way to make me feel better whenever I am feeling down or having problem is by communicating more with Allah. Subhanallah... I found peace by doing that, alhamdulillah. I try to recite the Quran everyday whenever possible, especially after the Maghrib prayer. But of course there were days when I came back from work and felt so exhausted that I just want to rest and go to sleep the soonest I can! *sigh!* I know... I know.... lame excuse! I pray to Allah to give me more strength to be a better muslimah each day.... insyaAllah...

I have been following Ustazah Tsuraya's Quran classes for about a year now. The class is just once a week... and yes, I did skip some classes... huhu! But alhamdulillah... I picked up lots of ilmu during her class.... and now certainly had improved my pronunciation when I recite the Quran, insyaAllah. I found it easier and more enjoyable to recite the Quran now :)

Early this year, I bought these from Ustazah Tsuraya.....It's a set to 10 books - the whole chapter of Quran complete with translation and guidance on the tajwid. Each book has numbering system that would guide you on the tajwid on each ayat. Suitable for someone like me yang baru berjinak2 belajar tajwid :) And yes.... I still have a lotssss to learn as every time Ustazah Tsuraya asked me on tajwid questions in class... terketaq2 nak jawab... haha! :D *padan muka.... sapa suruh ponteng kelas kan! hik hik!* I brought the books home and hubby has started using them as well... syukur alhamdulillah... sharing is caring, right? :)

Secondly, of course, there's retail therapy.... another effective way for me to distress myself :) But again... this is a VERY dangerous solution.... takut nanti terlebih sudah, terlebih fening pulak bila dah terlebih budget :D

Last but not least, I just love sewing beads! I found it very therapeutic! :) I've been doing it for the past few years :) But I guess you all already knew this :D

This is what I have been doing for the past few weekends....
I know, I know.... flowers tu sedikit senget here and there :P But I was inspired by a friend, Adriana Ahmad who showed her beads-work in her Facebook album :) She calls this design - cupcake :) Cute le pulak nama tu.. and I just had to try it!! :D So another kurung cotton of mine yang dah siap ber-beads! :)

Well, those are some of my ways of cheering myself up as mental therapy. So what's yours?? Do share! :)
