Glorious dramatic landscape of Iceland - Day 1 Part 2

Our Day1 exploration of Iceland continued- next destination was Reynisfjara.

This beautiful black beach is another location for the famous Hindustani movie, Dilwale.

What is so unique about Reynisfjara  is it's black sand, insane basalt columns, lava formations, towering cliffs and caves - so amazingly beautiful!

Beautiful black sands beach...

Amazing basalt columns...

Caves that is formed by rock formations

Interesting geology right? Iceland is indeed bumi Allah yang sangat unik!

This view is so mesmerizing... definitely another favourite place of mine in Iceland <3

Our next destination on Day1 is Fjadrargljufur.

I was told that this place is also known as The Justin Bieber Canyon in Iceland as this is where Justin made his 'I'll show you' video.

Anyway, Fjadrargljufur is indeed a really stunning and beautiful canyon! The scenery is just breathtaking!

Next we went to Skaftatell National Park - Mission : to witness Svartifoss - yes, another waterfall :D
To see the waterfall, we had to hike for about 45 mins in the national park first.

View along the way while hiking in Skaftafell National Park..
Penat jugak wei... sempat duduk sat kumpul tenaga haha!
Can't remember how many times we have to cross rivers...

Then we saw this waterfall... ingatkan dah sampai... no no no... this is nothing, they said huhuu...
Posing sat lah kat waterfall ni before continuing our hike to Svartifoss.

Bopoluh gak den nak sampai... But it was worth every sweat! The view of Svartifoss is magnificent!
Svartifoss which actually means Black Waterfall is quite unique as there is black columnar basalt formations beautifully frame the waterfall and give it its name.
Muka fenat... haha!

Back from the hike, alhamdulillah... ada orang masakkan maggie... yahooo!!
This was when the table and cooking stoves provided by our car rental company became handy hahaha.
Yumm.... mmg lapaq la balik dari hiking tadi kan...

Last destination of Day 1 - Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon.
This is definitely another favourite place of mine in Iceland!! By the time we reached here it was sunset.
The view was... masyaAllah.... soooo breathtaking!

Can't take my eyes off the scenery of sunset and glaciers... just serene!!!

Across the road there is a black beach which is called Diamond Beach, as the ice chunks lying on the black sand beach resembles diamonds when glistening in the sun.

That's the last itinerary of Day 1 - then off  we went to our rented apartment - Lambhus Cabins.

*** To be continued ***
