Last days in Iceland - Day 6 & 7

Today, we visited the Thingvellir National Park - where we can walk between two continents - North American and Eurasian.

Thingvellir National Park is apparently a very special place in Iceland - it is the birthplace of Iceland. It was the site of the Althing, the site of Iceland's parliament of Iceland from 10th to 18th centuries.
It is also a designated UNESCO World Heritage site because thiis is the site of the world's oldest existing parliament.

It was a sunny beautiful day... and we had fun exploring this park... lots of walking done here in the park... this place is huge!!!
Yours truly enjoying the Icelandic Vitamin D dose :)

With my lovely sis, Dr Na.

Mr and Mrs

We left this place before noon... enough of Icelandic Vit D dose :D

Next, we stopped for lunch in Blaskogabygoo and later a quick stop to witness The Great Geysir here in Blaskogabygoo.
There was a video taken here of the Great Geyser... but somehow I failed to upload the video here.

Our next and last tourist attraction stop was Gullfoss - the last waterfall we visited here in Iceland.
Gulfoss - which means 'Golden Falls' is one of Iceland's most iconic and beautiful waterfalls.
Subhanallah... memang cantik view di sini.
Kalau tadi berpanasan di Thingvellir National Park.. in Gulfoss, we got ourselves soaked kesejukan!
Just look at the amazing view!!
Subhanallah... cantiknya bumi Iceland kurniaan Allah ini...

We later left Gulfoss for Garour, a small village located on the tip of the Rejkjanes Peninsula of Iceland. The village is located not far from the airport - hence we choose to stay there for the night.

The travel buddy last meal together - dinner @ Garour.
Menu : Soto Goreng  - signature dish of my BIL, Saadan :)

Early next morning, we left Iceland...
Goodbye Iceland... we had a blast in this land of ice and fire!!
Another bucket list destination checked off!
Hope to see you again one day.... ;)

Well.... off to our next destination - SWITZERLAND!
See ya later...
