Getting soaked in Iceland - Day 1 part 1

Well, Hallo Iceland!! The land of ice and fire!!

When we landed in Iceland, I was super duper excited to explore this unique country!! And of course, my ultimate mission was to look with own two eyes the dancing light of Aurora :)

Found this at the airport... I thought this so cute ;)

At the airport, our car rental company representative was waiting for us, and we were brought to their rental shop to get our car.... or rather a 7-seater-MPV. We requested for an auto vehicle but non was available and was given a manual vehicle instead - we made noise about it of course... bengang juga as we had paid for the price of an auto car! So we were compensated with some camping gear like a small portable table with some seats and a mini portable cooking stove instead.. Okay laaa... those items would be handy for us later anyway kan.... huhu.

Well, let's start our journey exploring Iceland! ;)

Spectacular view along the way!

Did you guys see the rainbow? <3

In the car, I enjoyed this Swedish Choc that was a gift from my friend, An and shared them (she gave a few of them!) with my travel buddies :)

Sedap sangat!!!! Apparently this choc brand is very famous in Sweden. Thanks An <3

Our first destination in Iceland is Seljalandsfoss.

'Foss' in Iceland means Waterfall.

The first thing we did before getting out of the car was wearing our weather-proof jackets and pants.

We did not want to get our clothes wet in this cold country ya ;)

There is a path that would lead us behind the waterfall. Here is when the weather-proof jacket and pants are most required or we could get ourselves soaking wet haha.
Getting ourselves soaked at Seljalandsfoss :D

The view around the Seljalandsfoss is so serene... just beautiful!!

Next stop was Eyjafjallajokull - yeah, so hard to pronounce it right... lol!
We actually stopped here for toilet pitstop Lol!

This place is so breathtakingly beautiful! Watch out for glacier at the back of the scenery.

The next destination was one of my favourites - Skogafoss - yes, another waterfall ;D
To those Hindustani film lovers, you might find this place very familiar as it was one of the location for the Dilwale film ;)
Look at that view..... so spectacular!! It was just overwhelming by just looking at the scenery.

I wish I could do a Dilwale pose here at Skogafoss but I worried how the other tourists would react to my awkward pose Lol!

There were steps lead up to an observation deck above the waterfall...We actually climbed the steps to see the view from top of the waterfall..
Check out the beautiful rainbow!! It was just amazing!!

It was worth climbing up all those steps to see Skogafoss from above and such beautiful view from up there!!

Snacking at Skogafoss - alas perut sikit before we proceed to our next destination...
