3rd January 2006 was Izzaty's first day in a real school! :) She was really excited and woke up really early to get ready for school. Since I only applied leaves for 2 days, I thought it would be better to train her going by van on her first day of school... I asked her to wait for me at the school canteen once she reached the school. (She has been to the school twice and know where the canteen is). What we did not expect was, the school has 3 entrances, and the van dropped her at the side entrance. With lots of people around ( the pupils are gathered for their Monday assembly) , she was confused and did not know where to go. Hubby and myself began panic when we could not find her at the canteen and the main entrance. Only when the assembly ended and the pupils slowly moved away to their classes, I saw her looking worried standing alone near the side entrance. After that, the morning went smoothly and we went home leaving her with her new classmates and send Izzat to his kindergarten - 1st day of his 2nd year there... he looked upset in the beginning but once the teacher hold his hand, he looked okay.
In the noon, I got panicked again when she did not come home by 1:15pm. I drove to the school again and saw the van driver who told me he could not find Izzaty. I began seaching her in the school compound and found her at the bus station near the side entrance (apparently, the van driver waited for his passengers at the back entrance). And guess what?! Izzaty tengah sibuk 'membeli belah' jajan2 yang dijual at the bus station.... haha! Maklumlah... orang baru pegang duit!! Thanks Allah, she was safe! *What a tiring experience for her on her 1st day of school!*
Anyway, sekolah agama 1st day went more smoothly - she went to school by van and we met her at the school (which is much, much smaller than the primary school.. so it was easier to find her). Later, she went home by van without any problem... alhamdulillah..
2nd day - alhamdulillah, everything went on smoothly. I pray to Allah, both kids will be safe in school always...
