Been extremely busy lately! Went straight to work the next day after coming back from Hanoi... all because of the FS Contra HP Project :P I have sooooo many stories to share in this blog... but it's difficult to find the suitable time and 'mood' to do so.. :( Not only that... I'm mentally and physically still tired after that trip.. *sigh!*.
Would like to share with everyone on our Hanoi experience. This time.. I'll let these pics tell everything. After all... a picture paints a thousand words, eh? In short, it was an interesting trip! Hanoi is beautiful... but surprisingly cold ... brrr!!! :P
DAY 1 - Arrival and Hanoi City Tour
There were 3 groups who were traveling with us... Hubby and I (1st group), Stacy and family (2nd group) and Jill and family (3rd group). It's really nice meeting and getting to know them throughout our journey in Hanoi :)
Our first destination - The One Pillar Pagoda...

Eiuuu... I look fat in this pic!! :P
2nd destination - Hanoi Literature Temple - used to be the first University in Hanoi.
Thanks to Ms Anh who was sporting enough to take this pic for us :)

Termenung... ku sendiriiii.... chewah! :)
I love this pic! :)
I love this pic! :)
Along the way, there are so many Vietnamese selling vegetables, fruits and other things along the roads. And lots and lots of activities too!
Our lunch is at this restaurant..
Later we went to Dong Zuan Market... where the locals shops! This market is extremely busy. Lots of shops are closed due to the Chinese New Year celebration, but still you can see lots of people.. esp the locals doing the last minute shopping for the celebration. Lots of things on sale... but still they sell it at a very high price to tourists! Boring betul!! So none of us ended up buying anything... hahaha! :)
Later... check in to Nam Hai 1 Hotel... nice room.. quite clean :)
Hoa Kiem Lake (mind my spelling kalau salah!) - center of Hanoi city attraction... very beautiful! :)
At the end of the day... we felt so hungry and began searching for the Malaysian food restaurant "Restoran Nisa" - we did research before coming here on halal food in Vietnam and found info on this restaurant :). At first we were lost.... so lost that we were not sure where to go..! Fortunately, masa jalan2 tu.. we all terserempak with a chinese man who asked me...
That man : Malaysia ke Singapore?
Me: Malaysia (takut jugak nak jawab mula2 tu... can trust this man or not eh???)
That man : Mau cari makan ka? Ada restoran melayu sini...
Me : Nisa restaurant??
That man : Ya! Ya! Ikut saya... saya bawa!
Wah... so nice meh this man?? Suspen jugak mula2... tapi yeap... we end up at that restaurant all right! :) Rupanya mamat ni tolong owner Nisa Restaurant ni (Abang Ben.. a malay guy from Muar) cari customers... nak comission la kot?!
Alhamdulillah... janji dapat makan halal food :D
