Cerita bas

In Lucky Hill (nama baru Bukit Beruntung.. haha!) there are only 2 bus companies that provide 'express' service to KL : Starcoach bus and the TM bus. For certain reason.. most people prefer the Starcoach bus.. most probably due to the fact that the starcoach buses are more 'express' (laju siut!) and their service are more frequent in the evening(5.30pm, 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm and 9pm)... whilst the TM bus are only available at 6pm and 6.30pm.

I personally prefer the TM bus... cause most of my friends are also using the TM bus...(so typical! mesti nak cari gang! hehe). Lagi pun since ramai orang prefer bus starcoach... bus TM ni lebih 'lapang'... and definitely lebih selesa :)

But there are certain days when I had no choice but to take starcoach buses. On the early days of closing of Puduraya... I decided to take the starcoach sebab their 'port' is right infront of my office - depan Mydin tu (this is illegal okay! Patut all buses kena pindah ke Terminal Hang Tuah!) I wasn't sure masa tu how to get the TM buses as bas ni baik sket... ikut arahan... port kat Jalan Hang Tuah nuuun! Wah... so the miserable masa tu... dah la naik bas starcoach tu berebut2! Then I had to bear the hostile stares from the other penumpang bus!! Rasa macam alien pulak dlm bus tu... I guess they do not like other people in their bus... may be sebab they felt like I ni menyebuk and memenuhkan bas diorang aje! :P But hey... this is a free country kan?? And I did pay for the bus ticket okay! :P

One morning... I was the first person yang naik the starcoach 6.30am bus. The driver gave me a hostile look and asked me (quite rudely!) "Akak dah beli ticket ke belum?" Eh?? bodoh ke apa soalan ni... tak kan la I nak naik bas without buying ticket kan?? But I just answered nicely "Mesti lah dah beli". And to my surprise... lepas I lalu je... his hostile face terus bertukar and tersenyum lebar at the lady behind me and greeted her so sweetly, "Selamat Pagi Kak.... how are you this morning?" Wahh... ini sudah DOUBLE STANDARD!!! cisss.... :P No wonder lah kawan2 dlm bus TM cakap "bas starcoach tu tak mau jual tiket kat kitorang!". Ohh... begini rupanya politik bas di sini... baru ku tahu!! So after a few miserable days... I decided to switch to TM bas again! Walau pun kena jalan jauh sket... I don't mind... asalkan selesa! :P

But still... once in a while, bila TERRRRPAKSA... kami tiada pilihan but had to take the starcoach buses. Like yesterday, my friend, Lady Bee had to take the Starcoach bus sebab bas TM pukul 6.45am rosak. The TM ticket man cakap "Akak pergi naik bas sana lah... takut nanti akak lambat masuk kerja". So she reluctantly bought a Starcoach ticket and got on the bus... and guess what?? The minute she stepped on the bus, the driver (probably the very same driver) bising2 marah the ticket man "Oi Wan! berapa kali aku kena cakap... jual ticket dengan customer kita saja lah! Jangan bagi orang lain!" And Wan, the starcoach ticketman said "Takpe lah.. nanti kakak tu lambat.. bas sana rosak!" And the driver jawab "Nanti customer kita pulak yang lambat!". Ohh... macam tu pulak ke??

Okay... I understand that they want to give high priority to their loyal customer. But hey... does that mean, orang lain tak boleh langsung naik bas starcoach ni??? I thought this is a "PUBLIC" transportation... and NOT a chartered one!! And whoever bought the ticket... boleh la dapat service bus ni kan?? The TM bus tak pernah bising pun sesiapa nak naik bas diorang... And last week, when the Starcoach bus rosak kat Jalan Duta, the TM bus driver was kind enough to stop and picked up all their customers naik the TM bus... I mean... ALL.. as in every single penumpang dalam Starcoach bus yang rosak tu!!! So you can imagine how sesak-besak the TM bas after that!! Merangkak slow le bus tu ke KL... sebab bas dah terOVERWEIGHT!! And as the result... everyone in the bus turned up late at their offices sebab bas lewat!! *luckily I wasn't in that bus!*. Boleh pulak kan?? Tak de double standard pun!! Haiii... ntah lah.... macam2! Bas pun berpolitik ya... tsk.. tsk.. tsk..
