The plan was to have lunch at Papa Rich in The Garden, Mid Valley on Saturday. Yi was in Malaysia with his mom, aunt, cousin, girl friend and a friend. Since he is not familiar on how to go MV... hubby dropped kids and myself first in MV.. then go and fetch them at KL Sentral. So while waiting, the kids and I melepak2 at this area...
I guess... I am a true blue Maybanker after all... bangga giler nampak booth Maybank kat MV =)
Lunch was greeaatttt!!! It has been about a year since we last met Yi. He looked slightly thinner than before... and he commented that my kids looked a lot bigger than the last time he met them :) And I was soooo impressed to see how young his mom look!! wow!!! =) Her mom kept thanking us for taking care of Yi when he was not well during his previous stay in Malaysia... She even brought some souvenirs for us from China... Awww.... so sweet.... =) Well, actually she (and the rest) could not converse in English very well, so Yi had to translate it for her... isn't that sweet? ;) Yi has just graduated and will start working with his government soon. Wahh... congrats Yi!! We are so proud of you!! :)
Jom layan gambar.... =)
Papa Rich @ The Garden, Mid Valley - one of our fav kopitiam :)
Our special guest of the day - Yi and his gf, Yu (Yi and Yu... it does sound rhyme kan?? *wink*)
Happy meeting Yi and his cronies! They were busy browsing on the menu. Thank god they have Chinese characters written on the menu!! Or I would have a difficult time translating them :D
My fav drink whenever I go to Papa Rich - the hot honey + lemon drink :)
I chose to eat this - can't exactly remember the name in the menu... not bad laa.. but sedikit tawar for my taste.. after adding sedikit kicap plus extra cili padi baru okay :)
Yi's mom in green (so young-looking eh??) and aunt (wearing glasses). And the other guy is Yi's cousin. They love the food!! They especially enjoyed the ABC with durian ice-cream on top. Yi said he loves durian!! Ehh?? That was a surprise!! :)
The cute couple - Yi and Yu... Yi suggested Yu to taste the nasi lemak. I was afraid if she could not stand the spicy rendang.. but hey... she said she love it! Hope she told me the truth.. and not covering up just to jaga my hati.. hehee..
Our guest definately enjoyed our Malaysian food! From right : Yu's best friend (can't remember her name, sorry dear!), Yi's mom and Yi's aunt.
They ordered this kuih..... apa ke nama kuih ni, saya tak pasti! huhuhu...
This one I know... the otak2! They love this!!! Especially Yi...
Hubby and Yi... ada macam adik beradik tak?? ;) And notice the ABC with durian ice-cream infront of Yi? Oh boy... he loves it a lot! I tell you!
Everyone in this pic - from left : Yi's aunt, Yi's mom, Yu's bf, Yu, Yi, Hubby, izzaty, yours truly, izzat and Yi's cousin :) Emm.. notice I can't get the others' names?? I know.. I know.. I am bad... :( But I got confused remembering their Chinese names.. *sorry*
Yours truly berposing with Yi's mom and aunt. They are such a lovely bunch!! :)
Yi and Izzat... They used to play Nintendo together when Yi stayed with us last year :)
Posing lagi! Yi, hubby and the kids.. :)
Last post before they left Mid Valley. They wanted to see Dataran Merdeka after lunch.. so hubby sent them there while yours truly and kids merayap lagi sekitar Mid Valley :)
Among the presents we got from Yi and his mom are these lovely items...
A cute clay tea pot (we love it Yi.. thank you soooo much!!!), and 2 tins of chinese tea. Yi knows that both of us just LOVE chinese tea!!! Awww.... thank you soooo much Yi for the thoughts!!!! We really, really appreciate it!!! =)
And this beautiful silk nightgown... is from Yi's mom for yours truly. Wow... it is soooo BEAUTIFUL!!! I simply LOOOOVE it!!! Thank you so much dearie!!! *Hugs*.
It was such a pleasure meeting them! We had such a great time, really! Too bad they could not stay at our place as they will be leaving for Redang Island soon and later to Jogjakarta to see the Borobodur. Well, till we meet again.... may be we would visit you all in Shanghai one day... insyaAllah... :)
