Making trifle on Malaysia Day!

Happy Malaysia Day to all fellow Malaysians! :) The best thing about this occasion is.... holiday... yesszzaa!! :) And of course I love the fact the our country Malaysia remains peaceful... alhamdulillah :)

Hubby HAD big plan for this 3 days holiday. Take note of the past-tense okay! You see... our 15th anniversary is just around the corner and since both of us can't take leaves on that particular day, we wanted to 'celebrate' it this weekend. I suggested going to Port Dickson... serious lama tak sampai sana! I remember when I was small.... we went to PD almost every school holiday!! In fact, it's the only place we went during the school hols other than visiting uncles and aunts in KL :D But hubby said Port Dickson is a BIG NO! Why? He said PD's beach is not nice... :P He said he wanted to go to somewhere cold... so he suggested Genting Highland or Bukit Tinggi in Pahang. I voted for Bukit Tinggi and he agreed :)

2 days later... he changed his mind... nak ke Johor pulak... main attraction - Johor Premium Outlet and Legoland! Saya iya kan ajer lah... janji dapat jalan... huhu! Serious lama tak ke mana2! :P

Later on Friday eve he called me from Kuantan Pahang telling me that he has not done any booking to go anywhere yet. Told me that he changed his mind.... "tak yah gi mana2 lah... we just go somewhere special to eat with the kids lah". Eh??? Sedikit kecewa di situ :( Tapi tak pe lah... janji dapat spent quality times with him and the kids... kan?

End up.... we did not go anywhere AT ALL! :P Not even makan2 :P So boring ;(( Frust pun ada gak :P

This morning, since we do not have any plan to go anywhere, I decided to go to TKC-girlfriends' raya-potluck mini gathering at Lin Khalid's house in the evening :) So beriya2 lah prepared TRIFLE for the potluck event ;)

Trifle, in MY dictionary is a 3-layers-dessert which is so easy to prepare ;) Well, you know la me.... so the lazy! :)) So anything simple and easy to prepare would be my favourite choice! ;)

My first layer... several pieces of swiss roll cake

My 2nd layer... custards puding with cocktail fruits

And lastly on the top -strawberry jelly with slices of peach

Only after I'm done preparing the trifle did I check Lin K's email on the potluck details info.....

OMG!! I got the date wrong!!! It's not this week! But next week!!! Hahahaa!!! Okay laaa.... kids.... the trifle is ours!!! The kids are more than happy to have the trifle :))

Mengong betul.... camana la boleh salah date ni... lol! :D
