School Trip to KLCC ;)

When Kak Aleen asked me weeks ago if I can volunteer on 28th February to accompany the fifth formers of TKC to KLCC, I thought why not... it was on a Saturday! I kan selalu ngelat bila volunteer ni... haha! Sekali sekala okay lah kan... huhu.

But I guess, we can just plan... Allah has other plan for us. FIL was hospitalised and due for operation in HKL and my schedule need to be adjusted a bit. Since I've promised Kak Aleen on this event, I had to reschedule my activities. Took leaves on Friday to spent time with my parents in law in the hospital and later that eve, rushed to SME Corp office to get some stuff that SME Corp sponsored. Then off to my girlfriend - Germ's house in Bangi. It has been a while since I did sleepover!! :D Seronok betul gelak2 malam2...

Early next morning, by 7:30am, I parked my car in TKC and wait with the girls for our transport to KLCC ;)
With Kak Aleen and Wewe. There were 3  busses altogether and one of us in each bus.

With Puan Norlia and the gals on the bus.

Some info on KLCC that I learned during this trip. This building is a height of 451.9 metres. It has 88-storey twin structures.

The girls were divided into a few groups and each group will be accompanied  by a teacher and an OGA kakak :) I was with the blue team... dan mereka sangat happening! I like!! hehe.

We first visited the Skybridge. I've always wanted to visit the KLCC skybridge!! And alhamdulillah, tercapai gak cita2 ni... free some more!! Ko ado?? hehe... jangan jelez...

Here's some info I got from Mr Google :
KLCC Skybridge is the world's highest double-decked bridge symbolises a gateway to the future and provides a stunning vantage point of Kuala Lumpur. Linking the towers at levels 41 and 42, it facilitates movement, and functions as an escape route in case of emergencies. Level 41 is open for public whilst level 42 is strictly for staff.

The Skybridge is supported by a "three-hinged arch" consisting of giant round bearings at the base and a pair of legs 51 metres in length. The base of the arch is located at level 29 of each tower, while the cylindrical legs are bolted to a box girder at the centre of the bridge.

Yours truly was super excited being on the skybridge for the first time in my life! Wajib selfie hokeh!

This girl wanted to take pic but she had no camera or phone... so I said "meh aunty amek gambar" :D

With my BFF - Germ.

Awesome view of Kuala Lumpur 170 metres above ground.

Group picture with the gals and Puan Norlia.
Can you find the old girl who camouflaged herself among the 17 years old girl?? Lol!

4 of the escorts - Puan Norlia, yours truly, Kak Aleen and Yaya

Next, we were brought to their observation deck on the 86th floor. Breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur at 360 metres above ground!!! Awesome!!! There was also an exhibition on the Twin Towers.

The tallest toilet in Malaysia! Of course I have to try it! lol!

With Yaya, Wewe, Kak Aleen and Kak Chah (Dato Hafsah - CEO of SME Corp - she is soooo awesome!!!)

Then it's a trip to Petro Sains. Adik2 was excited. Cikgu2 pun excited. Kakak2 OGA tumpang excited but we could not join the fun as we have lots of preparation to do for the career talk and closing ceremony later..

Tea break before having fun @ Petro Sains...
A huge doughnut, a Gardenia bun and a box of milo for coffee break! Serious la kalau tak kenyang! :P

Welcome talk by one of the Petrosains bosses... lupa lak nama dia. But he used to be a Chemistry teacher and I heard some of the girls interviewed him on how to score on Chemistry paper :D

The girls and the teachers then left to have fun at PetroSains while the OGs sibuk bersiap2 for lunch preparation, career talk and closing ceremony, ect.
It was a pleasure to work with this awesome bunch!

She's an OG and look... she was wearing her daughter's TKC corporate shirt! Awesome gell!! :D
One of the most interesting characters I've ever met! That's Kak DZ! ;)

This one need no introduction - the ever charming Kak Ah - Tan Sri Rafiah Salim :)

Lunch was prepared by Petronas and OGA - nasi ayam, KFC, mandarin orange and mineral water

The girls enjoyed KFC so much!!

Lunch - VIP table

Girls now all kenyang and ready to hear the Petronas career talk...

First speaker, Kak DZ. A very motivating talk! Love her!! :D
Kak DZ looking at her slide and signalling her 'clicker' to click to the next slide..

And guess who was the clicker....
LOL! :D
Bidan terjun hokeh! :D

And the girls obviously enjoyed the talk! :) They were indeed inspired!

Kak Zee - Haziah sharing with the girls about geophysics.

Kak Zaiton, sharing about Project Mangement.

All the speakers were of course old girls of TKC ;) Awesome bunch of Petronas Staff!
Pangkat tinggi belaka.... I felt so humble standing beside them...

Kak Ah with the first lady of Petronas - wife to Petronas CEO. She's also an OG.
She told the girls 'One day, I hope one of you will not be the wife of Petronas CEO...  but the CEO of Petronas instead!' :D

It was an interesting day indeed! The girls were then allowed to do some shopping before going back to Bandar Enstek... wah wah, seronok lah depa! Yours truly on the other hand, were invited to have another coffee break with Kak DZ - well, actually meneman Kak DZ makan - she hasn't had lunch then..
With Kak Aleen, Wewe and Kak DZ.

That's wrapped up everything I guess. The girls had so much fun! The OGs also had fun! It was indeed a fun day for us ;)
