A short getaway with the kids

I had a wonderful weekend. A hectic one but I am blessed :)) It began from Friday morning, I flied to Penang to pickup Izzat and bring him home for the weekend. Plan asalnya nak bercuti ke Penang... dah berangan dah nak booking a room in a good hotel in Batu Feringgi... watching sunrise at the beach, jalan2 at Batu Feringgi pasar malam. I even made an appointment with my old UMKC-friend, Zurina and Yahya to meet-up for lunch or dinner in Penang! But Izzaty called a week before, to inform there would be a 3-penjuru meeting for form 3 and 5 parents at her school this weekend... Terpaksa la tukar plan last minute. Nasib baik tak book hotel lagi tau :P So instead of staying in Penang, we brought  Izzat back to KL instead.

My first experience flying with Malindo Air. I booked a 9:30am flight but they rescheduled my flight to 10:25am... Ada pulak technical error or what-so-ever, delay pulak... Ended pun sampai Penang around noon. Haishh... Nasib baik la I wasn't in a rush or something. :P

Once I landed in Penang, I took cab to Queensbay Mall... Lepak di sana while waiting for Izzat habis sekolah and solat Jumaat. Shopping ler... Apa lagi! The best way to kill time... haha :D

Izzat's teacher, Cikgu Zul was kind enough to send Izzat and another 4th former senior to the airport, so I waited for him at the airport... Alhamdulillah, moga Allah balas jasa baik Cikgu Zul.

Wahh... Anakanda I balik pakai songkok!! ;) Apparently, as a mini ulul-albab MRSM, they have to wear songkok on certain days. Semoga Izzat menjadi seorang yang soleh ya ;)) Flied home on a Firefly flight at 6:05pm (pun delay jugak a few mins... haishh!!) and reached Subang aiport around 7:15pm. Tq Mr Hubby for sending and fetching me to and from the airport ;))

Saturday, pagi2 lagi dah keluar to attend Izzaty's 3-penjuru meeting. I dropped Mr Hubby and Izzat at Mid Valley first then went straight to Bandar Enstek alone. Bagi peluang Izzat bonding ngan ayah dia dulu kan... :)

I reached at TKC around 9:30pm. Parents diberi sedikit pencerahan tentang the infamous PT3 that would be replacing PMR this year. Was informed that there would be peperiksaan bertulis (subjective papers) for this PT3... No more objective questions okay. Sounds scarier kan? Huhu.

Next, the 3-penjuru meeting where parents-student-teacher berjumpa face to face. Alhamdulillah, to our surprise Izzaty did quite well in the previous exam...

'A' yang mostly cukup2 makan... Hehe :) Alhamdulillah... mama is so proud of you. Told you if you put your heart 100% into it, you can do it! But need to work harder for stronger 'A's ya girl! I am a  bit worried actually, Izzaty is so into Wind Orchestra this year.... hopefully tak ganggu la pelajaran. She is performing for the SME Corp's event 'Tribute to Women' this Tuesday at Royal Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur and later will be going to SMS Pekan, Pahang for a Gamelan inter-SBP competition this weekend. And her mid term exam is right on the next day (Monday). Adoiii... Mak mana yang tak risau kan??

Anyway, Izzaty followed me back for 'OH' and that night the 4 of us decided to spend a night at Cititel Hotel, Mid Valley. A convenient place to shop and sleep haha! Tak dapat tido hotel kat Penang, hotel in KL pun okay laa :D Alhamdulillah, dapat la bonding dengan both kids over the weekend... A very rare occasion now that both of them are in boarding schools.

Malam tu kami tenguk 'Captain America'. Movie started at 10pm so balik dah midnight and senang la... Terus naik hotel zzzz. Convenient eh? ;))

Sunday morning, pagi2 lagi... Lepas Subuh mr hubby hantar izzaty to her friend's house in USJ. Tumpang Natrah jer balik kolej. They have to be back very early today as they have English Drama competition on Sunday morning. By 10:30am pulak, hantar Izzat to Hentian Duta, naik bas balik Parit Buntar ;))

 

The Mara Liner bus that Izzat took :) My friend, Jamaliah was in the bus too... rajin sungguh dia hantar anak dia naik bas sekali ke Parit Buntar. Then she took the 6.30pm bus to return to KL. Esok kerja... huhu! Tabik lu babe.... wa tak sanggup la gitu :P

On our way home tadi, we were stuck in a very, very bad traffic. Standstill okay! Rupanya Mr USA President, Mr Barrack Obama nak lalu... So dapat le I tenguk Obama's Beast lalu kat Federal Highway tadi.... Wahhh... Bkn senang dapat tenguk kereta tu weh!! :D Berbaloi le kami stuck dlm jam pun... LoL! :D

Now, we are back home in Lucky Hill, terasa la sunyi again :(( Really, really miss the kids :(( To my darlings Izzaty and Izzat, Study hard for the mid term exam okay... Mama akan doakan yg terbaik for both of you. Love you all so much!
