Victoria Falls Park - Africa Day4 Pt1

On the 4th day, we went to the famous Victoria Falls Park. The park is in the western portion of Zimbabwe, across the border from Livingstone, Zambia. This legendary waterfall is among the biggest, and most awe-inspiring on the planet! This is one of UNESCO World Heritage Site. I still could not believe I have been there! -.-

It is also known as Mosi-oa Tunya which means 'the smoke that thunders' - The falls generated mists that can be spotted from more than a dozen miles away.. awesome!

Entrance fee is USD30 per head

Victoria Falls is one of the 7 natural wonders of the world! Awesome!

3 largest water falls in the world are Niagara Falls (been there!), Iguacu Falls and Victoria Falls (been there!)

The park is quite huge and we were briefed on the park info and rules before we entered

Let's just enjoy the walk in the park and be inspired by the beauty of nature that Allah created ;)

A statue of David Livingstone.
David Livingstone, the Scottish missionary and explore, is believed to have been the first European to view Victoria Falls on 16th November 1855. Livingstone named his discovery in honor of Queen Victoria.

A panorama view that took my breath away!

There are lots of animals found in the park...
Antelopes

warthogs

Okay… ini kes bright sun at the back causing difficulties for us to take picture without getting dark faces… so hadapkan jer lah muka to the sun… lol! :D

Approaching this area the mists and sprinkle of water had made us wet! Luckily we were warned to bring raincoats for this trip.
Yours truly was here in Victoria Falls!!! So happy! This place is so awesome!! :D

Somebody refused to wear raincoat. He obviously enjoyed being wet :P

Beware of the cliff dear… so scary!!

The Victoria Falls bridge from far.
Opened in 1905, the Victoria Falls bridge cost £72,000.

This is the end of the park in Zimbabwe.

Exiting the park while enjoying the green nature…

On our way back to Victoria Fall Rest Camp, we stopped at local craft center in Victoria Falls.
Hubby was so interested to buy those stone craft products. The local seller was sweet talking mr hubby to exchange his water-resisted-bag with one of those items :P

Went back to the rest camp for lunch as we have another exciting adventure in the evening ;)
*to be continued*
