After lunch, our next destination was to JiuxiangCave which was located in Jiuxiang Yi and Hui Autonomous Township of Yiliang County. On the way to this place, again we enjoyed beautiful greeny scenery...
We also gotto see this awesome view of the 3rd highest bridge in China...
The view was spectacular! Sangat ohsem!!
Richard had warned us that this trip was gonna be tough as there was gonna be lots and lots of stairs in the cave. Yours truly was a bit sceptical at first…. Boleh ke orang macam I yang lembek ni survive?? Huhu. But my Along being the BIG sis as always memberi kata semangat ‘Mesti boleh punya!’ :D
My aunt and Dik Ma decided not to follow us to go into the cave. And thanks god… I think they made the right decision as true enough…. The was a hell lots of stairs inside the cave!!! Phew! Achik's knee would have suffered!! And DikMa would have a hard time handling Baby Ika inside tge cave!
Sayup mata memandang ke bawah...
The adventure started with a boat ride at Yangtze River’s Emerald Gorge. A short trip up the small gorge in a boat was actually quite fun ;)
After the boat ride, we walked down the gorge and for the next couple of hours we walked in and out of and through many different caves and caverns.
The survivors of Juixiang Cave… haha! Yang lain tewas and tinggal di luar :D
I have been to a few caves before, but so far this is the largest and most awesome! Beautiful scenery inside the cave with streams, limestone caves, waterfalls – breathtakingly beautiful!! The colurful lights add impacts to the scenery inside the cave. Sangat, sangat awesome!!
There is this special, rare fish species that can only be found in Juixiang Cave (so we were told!)
The Jiuxiang Blind Fish - also known as "blind spanish mackerel with golden line" in science is a rare fish in the world. They live in the cave without light, so their eyes degrnerate.
Little Sophia has started complaining "Chopie penat la mama" Aloloo.. Kecian dia... Sikitt jer lagi. Nanti dah keluar dr cave we buy ice-cream okay! :D
The two waterfalls from the high rock meet in a deep pool.Richard said ‘they look just like two loyal and faithful lovers coming from a distance hand in hand and jumping from the cliff together to die for love’. That is why the waterfall is named "Lovers’ Waterfalls" - aishh... romantic la pulak :)
More spectacular colourful view in the cave...
This is known as 'Kiss of Billion Years'!! A stalactite meeting a stalagmite.
This is the finest among the dripping-caused wonders for its towering aged stalagmites, tenderly hanging newly emerged stalactite in a 'kiss-like' link ;)
And here come the hardest part of this hiking adventure - climbing a long steep steps to exit from the cave. Mak semput you masa ni.... :''((
Serious kaki dah merayu kepenatan by the time we got out of the cave! The adventure ended with a cable car ride (more like a swing ride!) back to area, near the main entrance.
It was fun! Yours truly who was sharing the same swing with my Along had a ball laughing all the way. But when we were way high up there... Seriau juga pandang bawah! Nasib baikla Baby Ika tak ikut or I wonder how DikMa would have handled her -_-
For a while, I was afraid to take out my phone worrying it would fall wayyyy down -_-. Tapi rugi plak if I did not capture the moment.. So tawakal dgn nama Allah... Ambil gak a few pics!!
And we finally reached the bottom! I spotted a cameraman on standby taking pictures of us approaching the station... And when I told Along about it she jokingly said 'alamak, x sempat pakai lipstick' and burst out laughing and yeah, the cameraman snapped our pic at that moment! Lol!!
On our way home, we told Richard to find a mosque on our way to the town so that we could perform our solat jamak-qasar Dzuhur-Asar. We stopped at a small village called ‘Yiliang’ (had to ask Richard to spell this out).
And dicelah2 lorong itu lah letaknya masjid ini....
Kami disambut baik oleh pakcik yg pakai ketayap putih tu.. I beleived he is the imam of the mosque...
Something funny happened at this mosque, dah le toilets had no doors (my achik was horrified sebab dia dah tak tahan nakkencing.. hehe!), the water supply was heated…. And very, very hot. And we didn’t know how to control the heat…huhu! I was the first one using the tap… so mula2 air okay… not so bad… but makin lama makin panas… makin lamamakin panas… like very, very HOT! Tak tahan kulitku! So everybody was like “how lar like this??!”. My Achik tadah the hot water into a pot provided in the area… tapi punya la lama nak tunggu the water cool down. Then dah tak sabar dah… we went to the men area… don’t care la… men pun takde masa tu! Used the tap… real fast took wuduk… and true enough, as expected the heat of the water naik lagi! Hehee... Lawak pun ada jugak! The last two who didn’t get the chance to use the tap were my Achik and Ruby sebab by then, the water dah real hot… terpaksa gak tunggu air in the pot sejuk..
*rugi pulak tak ambil gambar dlm bilik air tu hehe*
The mosque entrance
Went back to Kunming city after our prayer... Again, enjoyed the scenery!
By the time we reached Kunming city, it was getting dark. The city traffic was quite bad. Our bus driver dropped us down at one city area and we had to walk for a short distance to our rented apartment. Walau pun dah keletihan… it was quite an enjoyable walk ;) We walked passed flower and petsmarket. If you feel like purchasing cute little puppies, kittens, birds, tortoises or anything crawly/fluffy… you can find it here ;) Ohh…. Macam2 pun ada lah…. Like petaling street may I say! ;)
The flower market wasn't that big though...
And more things on sale along the road…
We had dinner at this restaurant…
I guess there was a miscommunication when we ordered the food, somehow our dishes were served in a big portion…
Pembaziran berlaku disini!! -_-
Another restaurant that we were not served water… adakahini tradisi mereka?? Minum soup only is it??
Gambar muka guilty lauk tak abis, LoL!!
What a day!! Alhamdulillah…. For somebody who is unfit like me, I am proud to say that I survived the day! Haha! Like my Along said – tu ayat POYO sebab dah successfully complete all adventures for the day! :D
