Black and Red Sand Beach - Santorini Day3 Pt2

Okay… we didn't have rendang in Santorini this Eid Adha :P The Asterix mommies made sure I do not forget them by updating the pics of rendang and delicious food during Eid in Malaysia… hahaha! Depa kata saja buat I jeles and terliur with the food pics sebab depa jeles kami di Santorini… awwww, one day… kalau ada rezeki, insyaAllah  you all pun sampai sini okay…

Today, in Eid Adha… we went for joyride exploring the beautiful Island of Santorini.

Our first destination, Perissa beach.
Perissa beach is another famous beaches with black sands and crystal clear water in Santorini. Located about 12.5km from Fira, this place is also packed with tourists. I personally thought Kamari beach is nicer… but as we didn't get to enjoy the water in Kamari yesterday, today we decided to enjoy the water of Perissa beach… well, at least the kids and their dad did :P

But before that…. let's have lunch first!
We decided to enjoy the seafood at one of those restaurants at the beach...
Ordered seafood plate, greek salad and fries...
So these are our raya dish this Eid Adha.. Substitute to all those yummy rendang and lemang... Hehe, tak mo kalah tu! lol!

After lunch, mandi manda time!! ;)
At first, there were just the 2 of them yg mandi manda...
My macho boy control cun in the beginning...  cuci2 mata je tepi pantai... Malas lah tukar baju, katanya :P

While lazy me just laze around on the lazy chair on the beach… muahahaha!

Somebody had to jaga barang what.... Hahaha... Valid reason kan? :D

Somemore, got free wifi from the restaurant we ate just now ( only the restaurant customers can use these shades and lazy chairs and got to use free wifi ) - I was contented ;)

My boy finally decided to join his ayah and sis mandi manda...

Izzat so sexy! :P

From Perissa we drove to Akrotiri peninsular area. This place is known of course for the famous ruins from the Minoan period. But we were told that there's nothing really to see a the castle ruins, so we did not stopped at the ruins but drove ahead to this area where we gotto enjoy great view of the caldera.Could see Oia and Imerovigli from far.... amazing view! Subhanallah...

breathtaking view along the road..

Our next stop was the Red Sand Beach.
When we arrived at this place... I was looking for the sign of red sign... but could not find any. Hubby said 'the red sand beach is not here... we have to walk for a few kilos from here?" Ehh??? alamak... more walking! :P
But this place is beautiful!
I could see the red volcanic rock here...
A church near the beach...

After a short easy stroll, we saw this awesome view of the Red Sand Beach. Subhanallah, cantek banget!!
There was a huge warning sign at the entrance about landslides and I believe it could be there for a reason. The cliff does not look very steady and the small beach is directly below it. Agak scary (or rather lazy!) to walk to the beach... so we decided it would be better just to take pictures from up here.

Loving the uniqueness view of this beach! Not many places has red sandy beaches eh? ;)

We just stayed there for a few minutes before going back to Fira.
