Kamari Beach and Fira - Santorini Day2 Pt2

After coming back from Oia, we dropped by at Fira to buy some groceries (it's cheaper than the mini market near our villa). Bought some mussels and shrimps. Later, went back to our villa to perform prayers and had lunch. We had mussels asam pedas for lunch you all… haha! Nothing fancy okay… just used the instant asam pedas paste I brought from Malaysia. Somehow, sibuk makan lupa nak snap pics of the food :D

Anyway, in the eve, we went to Kamari Beach and Fira.

Kamari Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Santorini. It has black sands and pebbles due to it being a volcanic island. The beach is clean and the water is soooo inviting!! Just beautiful! Lots of tourists stay here.

We usually see white sandy beach… so the black sand is quite unique to my eyes...

Gambar gedik :P

We later dropped by at Fira again..

Fira  or also called as Thira, is the capital of Santorini.
Located on top of a cliff of a caldera, this town is really packed with tourists as several cruise ships anchor in the caldera below the Fira town. Tourists from the cruise ships would go up by either hiking up the donkey path, riding on a donkey or using a cable car.
Lots of boutiques and souvenirs shop here in Fira...

Checking out the donkey path from up above the cliff…
Can u guys see the donkey in the pic?

Beautiful view while waiting for sunset in Fira...

Checking out the cruise chips and cable car from above the cliff…

Me looking very tired after the loooooong walk up on the cliff of Fira

Back in Villa Marily that evening...

That night, we had udang masak tepung for dinner… yeeehaa!!
There was also shrimp tomyam… but the the tomyam looked so simple… malu mak nak ambil gambar haha!

After dinner, yours truly and mr hubby sat on the patio enjoying the night view from Villa Marily…
Wondering where the cruise ship going to next…

It was so quiet and serene at night. I can live here forever…. * wishful thinking! :P *
