Day 5: Lujia Bang Rd & Zhujiajiao Ancient WaterTown

A friend suggested I go to Lujia Bang Road in Shanghai if I want to find good tailor for custom made dresses/suits. Was told that they can make our clothes ready in 24 hours! Hubby wanted to see this place... so off we go early in the morning to Lujia Bang Road. Took taxi from our hotel to that place for RMB20.

\
Lots of fabric and textile shops/booths at this area.

We stopped at a booth on the ground floor (sorry I forgot the booth number). The name of the tailor is Jojo,  a beautiful friendly young lady who managed to convince mr hubby to order a pair of suit for himself :)
Hubby bought a pair of suit which cost RMB700 (RM350 our money).... quite cheap eh?! :)
Additional RMB30 if you want them to deliver your clothes straight to your hotel.

Lots of notes of recommendation from Jojo's customers (mostly tourist from all over the world!) on the wall of her shop.

Jojo looking over a chiffon catalog... looking for a material for our baju raya :D

By the time we left the building it's already 11+ in the morning. We wanted to go to Zhujiajiao Ancient Water Town but had no idea how to go there. Jojo also has never been there... but she recommended us to take the Metro line 4 nearby and stop at Yeshan. Then, change to line 9 and stop at a place which I can't remember... then take a cab to Zhujiajiao. The cab (a metered taxi) turned out to be quite expensive... RMB127 (about RM63 our money) including toll! (FYI, the distance from Shanghai city to Zhujiajiao is about 40km). If you guys had to take a cab in China... please make sure it's a metered one! Kalau tak... takut kena ketuk laa... huhu!

But the trip was worth it! Zhujiajiao Ancient Water Town is so beautiful!! Zhujiajiao is a very famous ancient water town with a history of more than 1700 years. This place is also known as the "pearl stream" and "Shanghai's Venice" - best known for its bridges, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties, the various spans are built of wood, marble and stone.
Ada juga Muslim restaurant di sini... alhamdulillah.. :)

To rent a boat the price is RMB60 per boat for a short distance cruise and RMB120 per boat for a long distrance cruise - we opt for just the short distance one... saja nak merasa :)

Cuci2 mata at the shops around here...

At Fang Sheng Bridge - the most famous and iconic bridge here.

Kali ni kami balik naik bas :)) After asking around, we found the bus station and took a bus that cost us only RMB9 per head... murah giler compared to the taxi fare! :P Ni la akibat tak study before pergi aritu... huhu! In case you guys want to know the best/affordable way to go to Zhijiajiao from Shanghai.... you can read here.
This is not an express bus (there is an express bus in case you are wondering!)... asyik berhenti jer... we ended up sampai Shanghai about 2 hours later... hahaha!

Back in Shanghai, kami dah kelaparan and went direct to our favourite halal restaurant in Shanghai again- Yelixiali Restaurant :)
Went to the same restaurant... ordered the same food as yesterday!! Lol!

Yelixiali's staff look so adorable in these outfit :))

I SHanghai too :))
