Kemain tajuk kan? Lol.
But seriously, this trip was the highlight of my 2019. Took 2 weeks annual leaves to go to South America - I would say this is the furthers and longest journey trip ever! Took 2 days for me to reach our destination - KLIA - Doha (7 hours and 30 mins) - John F Kennedy Airport NYC (14 hours!!!) - Lima Airport (transit) - Cusco. 2 days tak mandi you all... hahahaha!
Well, hello again NYC... long time no see :)
Our 2nd transit for this journey.
I was in a New York state of mind :D
Tak sempat keluar merayap NYC due to the tight schedule. So lepak2 kat airport je lah makan dinner...
Vege Pizza anyone?
Off to our next transit...
Can still smile after 40 hours journey...
Berjam2 babe dok dlm kapatobang ni before reached our destination.
2 hari tak mandi okay! Lol!
Transit in Lima.
After 2 days of travelling, we finally reached our destination!
Cusco, Peru! Oh wow.... rasa mimpi sangat sampai sini... hahaha.
Memang dah lama berangan nak pi sini.
Cusco - view from the top
Hola Cusco!
Also known as the capital of the ancient Inca empire, this beautiful city is located at an altitude of 3400 meters from the sea level. The high altitude can cause symptoms such as headache, nausea, short of breath, easily tired. I was quite nervous in the beginning as I have never experienced altitude sickness before. And yes, I did brought some medications - standby jer lah kan... but alhamdulillah, tak guna pun ubat2 tu.
Went straight to our rented Air BnB - Kintu Apartment.
Quite a cozy place... just right for the 2 of us.
Sejuk2 ni - macam honeymooner gitu... Lol!
Look what I found in our rented apartment :
Coca leaves - they said to avoid the altitude sickness, take coca leaves with water in the morning.
Ada brani?? Lol!
After settling down and rest a bit (read take a bath after 2 days tak mandi haha!), we went for a walk to explore this beautiful, fascinating city...
Plaza De Armas - the heart of Cusco's historic center.
This plaza is where many of the city's important gatherings, events and festivals take place... a happening place and always bustling with people and activities.
Nearby you can see the historical cathedral, the Jesuit Church.
