That morning, after breakfast, we called an Uber to go to our first destination - The Park and National Palace of Pena.
We booked our tickets online and was there at 9.30am sharp to beat the crowd and long queue. I read reviews that if you were late, the queue would be horribly long! So guys, if you wanna go here, make sure to pre-book your tickets online and be there super early!

The castle is located on top of a hill (told ya Portugal is hilly!). From the castle entrance, we need to hike up a bit to reach the castle... just an easy hike, phew!

It was a foggy morning. Nak ambil gambar pun tak begitu cantik...
But the castle is absolutely gorgeous! Love the bright colours of the buildings!

We had fun exploring the palace. Didn't go inside though as the queue to go inside was so long and we do not want to waste the time by queuing and would rather explore the big area of palace exterior compound.
The palace is absolutely stunning and it also offers amazing view of Sintra area.
You can see the Moorish Castle from the Pena Palace. Can you spot the walls like the 'Great Wall of China' in the picture? That's Moorish Castle!
By this time, the sun was already shining brightly and the foggy were all gone, alhamdulillah! Now, time for bright, beautiful pictures!!!
All four of us posed at the same spot :D
Since Mr Sunshine was up and about, we took more photos as the palace looked so bright and colorful under the sun! We took so many photos sampai tak reti nak pilih mana nak upload sini Lol!
Pena Palace is definitely a must visit when you are in Portugal! It’s like a fairytale castle (errr, did Disney has something to do with the construction, design and painting of the towers and buildings? 😅).
I read the reviews that some people said Pena Palace is not worth going, overrated and were disappointed with their visit here but we personally enjoyed this place ❤️
