Last day in Porto. We left Porto for Sintra today. Had to catch a train to Lisbon first and another train to Sintra.
While waiting for Ayah checking out from our AirBnb.
When we were at the Porto's train station, we were told that there were a strike going on by the train drivers. We were so nervous already with the news but proceed to catch our train to Lisbon. Alhamdulillah... no problem to Lisbon.
We got comfy in the train to Lisbon.
Arriving at Estacoa Oriente Station, Lisbon, we rushed to get the next available train to Sintra. But rupanya, that train has not been moving for hours... drivers mogok huhu!
Some of the passengers had began leaving the trains and opt to go to Sintra with Uber instead. A nice couple from Germany who talked to us did the same thing as they had been waiting for 2 hours in the train. We waited for a while. Izzat suddenly rushed outside and I was like 'Hey where are you going?'.'Izzat nak gi toilet', katanya. 'Nooo.... please wait... nanti tiba2 train ni jalan what to do??' And he was like.. 'train ni tak jalan2 pun'. 'No no... tunggu jap... '... and true enough, a few mins later, the train suddenly moved. OMG.... nasib baik Izzat dengar cakap and tak jadi pi toilet.... I cannot imagine what we would do if the train jalan without him tadi... huhuuu.
Our AiBnb in Sintra was just a few meters away from the train station.
The apartment was so cozy! I especially love the kitchen!! And nearby, there was a small grocery market that we could get our groceries to masak2. Love, love, love this place!
The weather was nice too! Sintra is such a cozy, beautiful town. We had a lovely walk that evening before Maghrib.
Fonte Mourisca (Moorish Fountain).
Sintra has so many beautiful water fountains!
Another water fountains.
Such a beautiful, enchanting town! They read that Sintra is like a fairytale town - a place full of mysticism and mystery. So I was so looking forward to explore this mysterious town!
We went home before Maghrib. Cooked dinner and had a good rest.
Tomorrow was gonna be a super busy day.... lots of places to visit in Sintra and we are only here for 3 days and 2 nights.
